Dr. Barry Thornton, DMD Dr. Barry Thornton was born and raised in Mississippi. He received his D.M.D. from the University of Mississippi Dental School in 1997. He has practiced general dentistry in Tupelo since June, 1997 with a focus on cosmetics and implants. He has completed numerous continuing education hours in courses such as Laser Dentistry, Endodontics, and Cosmetic dentistry. He completed an externship in implant surgery from the University of Tennessee. Dr. Thornton enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is a long time Mississippi State athletics fan and an avid golfer.
Dr. Toby Brandon, DMD Dr. Toby Brandon, a Belmont native, was born and raised in Mississippi. He received his bachelors degree from Mississippi State University followed by his DMD from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 2019. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife Emily and two dogs, Alina and Piper. He also is an avid outdoorsman, golfer and Mississippi State fan.
Jennifer, RDH Jennifer has been a hygienist for Thornton Dental Care since 2002. She enjoys brightening smiles and building patient relationships. Jennifer is a 1997 graduate of the Northeast Mississippi School of Hygiene.
Mandy Financial Coordinator Mandy has worked in the dental field since 1999. She really enjoys working with people and assisting them with all their dental needs. She has worked as the financial coordinator for Thornton Dental Care since January 2007. Mandy will help you understand your dental insurance benefits and assist you in arranging payment options.
Amy RDHAmy has been a Registered Dental Hygienist since 1997.She has enjoyed her 18 years in the dental field helping others achieve and maintain their dental goal by listening to her patients concerns.Her dental goal is to establish a honest and caring relationship with each patient and their family, that will not only help them have a healthy mouth but healthy you!
Carla CDA Carla has been a Certified Dental Assistant since 1984. She has been with Thornton Dental Care since 2017. In her dental career, she has enjoyed her 35 years of brightening smiles and helping with patient concerns. Patient relationships and gentle dental care is of utmost importance to her.

Dr. Thornton seems like he has a bad attitude. I used him a couple of times, but wont ever again. I've had also been told be inside sources that he is not kind to his staff either.

I've only had one visit, but I was very impressed. I will be going back for my dental work. I had my dental surgery on 3/5/20, and I feel much better than expected (3/6/20). I made a great choice!

In and out in <45 minutes. They're always prompt and polite, not to mention thorough! I've used TDC for over ten years and won't be switching any time soon.

The VERY BEST, would recommend Dr Thornton and his friendly staff to all my friends and family. They help make a bad experience in to a relaxed affair. Dr Thornton has the best staff, they will help you with all your dental problems. So if need a dentist Call Dr Thornton.

Best experience with a dentist ever! Have seemingly spent my life in a dentist chair and thought I'd had good dental care, but Dr Thornton's entire format is a step above. Caring, professional, competent, and attentive are just a few of the words that come to mind. Even if you have an aversion to the dentist chair you will come away impressed.

My visit to Thornton's Dental Care for is comparable to Happy Hour after a long week's work. A place where you are greeted with a smile by your first name. .. and if some one is new that person quickly gains your respect and confidence, as Lydia did this past Wednesday. Sharing pictures of grandbabies and deer with Mandy is always special. Barry Thornton continues to stride to make his office a good place to visit and to work - with you in mind, his customer!
