Mark J. Thornley, DDS Thornley Dental was established in 1967 by Dr. Brian F. Thornley. His son, Dr. Mark J. Thornley, joined the practice in 2005. Dr. Mark Thornley graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2005. While there, he was selected by the faculty to receive the Senior Student Award. Dr. Thornley is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Utah Dental Association (UDA), where he served as President of the Cache District Dental Society.
Dr. Thornley regularly donates his services to the Head Start program and helps support local charities and programs financially. He recently flew to the Dominican Republic with a group of local doctors where he provided dental services to several communities in remote villages. He also coaches Little League teams in the community, and he is involved with his church and local school programs.
Dr. Thornley was born and raised in Logan, Utah. He received his bachelors degree in Business Administration at Utah State, where he became an Aggie fan for life. Dr. Thornley lives in Logan, Utah, with his wife, Heidi, and their three sons and one daughter. He enjoys sports, skiing, hiking and spending time with his family.

Our whole family (7 of us) have been with Thornley Dental for several years. They are wonderful!! The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Dr. Thornley genuinely cares about your pain level, and will patiently help you through it until you're comfortable. We have nothing but great things to say about Thornley Dental!

I felt more like a welcome House guest than a new patient. The entire staff is super welcoming and friendly. The office is clean and well maintained, convenient location in downtown Logan. The price seemed to be competitive and fair. I definitely recommend this place.

I love going to Thornley Dental. I'm always amazed at how friendly and caring the staff is. Dr. Thornley also does an amazing job of making sure you are comfortable and not in pain. I got my first cavity and had heard so many horror stories about the pain of the numbing medication. When Dr. Thornley numbed me I hardly felt anything. My teeth are super sensitive so as he was drilling if I felt any pain at all he stopped immediately and gave more numbing medication. If you want a dentist that cares about your comfort and does an amazing job, this is the place to go.

I first found out about Dr. Thornley in 2009, when I was complaining to my mom about the high cost of getting an implant in Portland, OR. She told me to talk to Dr. Thornley's office. LeAnn, at the front desk, was so friendly and willing to work with me, that I realized it would be worth my while to get my implant while on summer vacation in Logan because his prices are so reasonable. After that I would always bring my family to Dr. Thornley whenever we were visiting Utah. A few years later we moved to Davis County, Utah. I took my kids to local dentist and was shocked when that dentist told me that one of my kids had 4 cavities. I was skeptical and so I took my child to Dr. Thornley for a second opinion. He told me that the cavities were very small and on baby teeth that would be coming out soon. He said that if it was his child, he would not waste the time or money to put in fillings. That really gave me a lot of confidence that Dr. Thornley would treat us like he would his own family. I think perhaps it is because he inherited his practice from his father that he is not so deep in debt that he has to earn money however he can. His integrity and honesty (he is a bishop) is really impressive to me. Plus I've always been really happy with his high quality work. So for these reasons, and many more, it is worth it to me to drive my family up from Davis County to make sure we get the best value possible.

Our family has been visiting Thornley Dental for several years. We trusted Brian Thornley who always did a good job. Many years ago my husband had the bottom of his top front teeth knocked out by equipment one Saturday morning and Dr. Thornley met us at his office, put veneers on so his teeth looked good again and they have held up well. When he retired and his son Mark took over the practice we were impressed with his kindness and gentleness. As with his father we trust him to do a good job and know he will only charge us a fair price. There is a good atmosphere in the office, the staff is very helpful and pleasant and we enjoy being there.
