Dr. Thomsen graduated from undergraduate school at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1988 and from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College Of Dentistry in 1992. After dental school, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency through the United States Army. After completing his residency, he was assigned as the 2nd Brigade Dental Surgeon for the 1st Infantry Division. During his time in service, he hadseveral opportunities for advanced training. He is a graduate of the Combat Casualty Care Course to include completing Advanced Trauma Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support courses. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Airborne School. Dr. Thomsen thoroughly enjoyed his time in the militaryuntil returning to Omaha to join Thomsen Dental Group.
Dr. Thomsen enjoys private practice and feels continuing education is extremely important to staying current with the care for the nice people who choose to come to Thomsen Dental Group. Dr. Thomsen also maintains a very active lifestyle competing in athletic events with his family, cycling, canoeing, and adventure races like the Warrior Dash and Tough Mudder.

Dr. Thomsen is my favorite dentist to go to. He makes sure you're not in pain before starting and you can tell he's really knowledgeable and does a great job explaining what he's going to do in an understandable way. I remember I had 1 crown fall off I had received from another office beforehand. I called Thomsen's office really early (a few hours before opening because I was so worried!) and left a voicemail since I had a job interview that afternoon and really needed it fixed. They got me in before my interview and had it fixed in time. It actually looks better now. It's been a year or two, give or take, and I haven't had any issues with that crown. As a matter of fact, I've never had any issues with any of his work. It always looks great and the same is true of the quality. He's also very understanding, takes time to answer questions and isn't judgemental at all. I love his staff as well. They are all so kind and efficient. Overall, they are a great office. No complaints! Would highly recommend!!!

Best dental experience I've ever had. This is a veteran owned multigeneration family business. A person I trusted referred me and my expectations were exceeded. They actually took the time to show me how to get better results from my current dental hygiene efforts. The atmosphere was warm and friendly which was a refreshing change from the cold and sterile environment I have experienced at other dental offices.
