Easy to get appointments, EXCEPT when the braces come off, and only do it 2 times a day and not on fridays. Usually quick visits. Only thing I'd change is there's no interaction with the parents. I like to know how things are going changes etc, and never really got those, however my daughter loved going there and LOVED the music while she had her braces adjusted, changed etc.

Dr. Thompson and his staff are always very friendly, and professional! We look forward to going because every visit is a positive experience. My daughter and I both have work done, and our teeth have been well cared for-we love Dr. Thompson!

If I knew then what I know now, I would stay far away from this orthodontist. I wish I could get the money back and have more dental work today. I saw Dr. Thompson for two years from ages 13 to 15. I'm 25 now. I was young and didn't speak up at the time. This doctor has ruined my jaws. I've had constant jaw problems (grinding, clicking, misalignment, TMJ, etc.) during and since he worked on my teeth. First, he is very rude, very abrupt, and the same goes for his staff. He works very quickly with no consideration for whether or not you are in pain. I screamed out in pain several times purely because a utensil slipped because he was working too quickly and carelessly. He constantly hums/sings to himself while he's working and looks away. I asked him to be more gentle once and he just said "Okay... I'll try" after giving me a condescending look. He put an expander into the roof of my mouth to space it out. It came out twice, causing me serious pain. After the second time he just gave up. I would constantly have cuts in my mouth after my appointments or because he didn't trim my wires. Today, my jaw is completely skewed to the left, I still have an underbite which he didn't even attempt to fix, and my teeth are still slightly crooked. I'll start seeing a new orthodontist in January to fix his mistakes.

I spent 2 years driving from Louisville to Huntington just to see Dr. Thompson. It was worth every hour spent in the car. I had a severe overcrowding issue and my bite was horrible. The results from my braces were far beyond my expectations. Moving teeth is an art form and Dr. Thompson is an artist. The office is very clean and conveniently located close to downtown and not far from I-64. The staff heavily influences a 5 star review. They are all professional and nice. Payments are flexible and they work with each individual situation and will help you work through getting your balance paid off. Overall, I would drive back to Huntington for Dr. Thompson to take care of my children if need be. Qualtity experience all the way!

Dr.Thompson has been my primary orthodontist for years now. Him and his staff have always been very professional and have always treated me with respect. He gave me the smile I have always dreamed of and I am so grateful. I highly recommend this team for all your smile needs. Plus he plays good music :)

Great experience! Dr. Thompson was quick to help anytime I had an issue. He even came in on a Saturday to fix one of my brackets! He is very knowledgeable and friendly. He made my crooked teeth look great! Highly recommend.

DR. Thompson has been great. He evaluated my children for 2 years prior to orthodontia treatment. He did not charge for this service until they needed braces. He is very nice and his staff is also. I recommend him highly.
