Dr. Thompson is a native of Central Louisiana, beginning in Olla, LA. Dr. Thompson attended Alexandria Senior High School. After high school, he received Bachelor of Science Degree from Louisiana College. Dr. Thompson attended LSU School of Dentistry where he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1987. Dr. Thompson has practiced General Dentistry in Alexandria since June of 1987.
Marcia has been employed as a Registered Dental Hygienist for Dr. Thompson for 25 years. She earned her BS in Dental Hygiene from Northeast Louisiana University of Monroe, LA in 1990. She lives in Georgetown, LA with her husband Jack and their son Colby. Marcia is a member of Beulah Baptist church and enjoys running, shopping, and traveling.
Savannah lives in Moreauville, LA with Jonathan andtheir son's Zeke, Zane, Zaiden, and Zeth. She is a great team member that is our Receptionist as well asserves as a Registered Dental Assistant when needed. She has been working with Dr. Thompson Family Dentistry since April of 2016. She attended Alexandria Dental Assistant School and graduated August 2015. In her free time, she loves to sit back and relax by the fire with family friends.

Dr. Thompson & his staff are always on time & friendly. Dr. Thompson takes the time to get to know you as his patient as well. I had a chip in a filling that I was sure needed to be redone, however after he smoothed it out, it looked brand new. I love that he did what was necessary without causing an unneeded expense! Highly recommend

Saw the dr norm today. Absolutely the best dental office I've ever been to. Had a wisdom tooth cut out. No dis comfort at all. Will definitely be back

Amazing experience. Dr. Norm and his entire staff were the friendliest I've encountered. He got my girl in super quick after she broke her 2 front teeth when her dentist couldn't and repaired them beautifully. I can't say enough good things about this office and will definitely be switching my children to this office.

I`ve had this bad tooth in my mouth since last year(2020), but covid-19 prevented me for services. The tooth site started to hurt and i needed a dentist immediately but all other dentist office had to schedule me for a later day. I went on-line to google local dentist and found Dr, Thompson j Norman DDS on 2238 worley dr. alexandria, la 71301. He`s located behind the alexandria mall or jc penney. The receptionist told me if i can get there soon, she may be able to schedule me in that same day. It was late that afternoon. Finally things started to work for me. I was surprise how extraordinary Dr Thompson and his staff was. They were very friendly, caring and professional which is hard to find these days. I would definitely recommend Dr.Thompson and his staff for your dental needs.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Thompson is hands down the BEST dentist in Cenla! Went in with a broken tooth and he did a Root Canal same day, was and is ALWAYS the best experience. While visiting in Alexandria, I got a horrible toothache. I called Dr. Thompson's office and they were able to squeeze me in. He took the time to do a root canal instead of scripting me out. Dr. Thompson and his staff are very caring and awesome. I highly recommend his office to anyone looking for a family dentistry.

Dr. Norm Thompson and his crew are the best and all have great attitudes and I love going to visit them. Very child friendly and are fast at their jobs. They're the reason why I want to go into a dental program when I attend college.
