Raleigh dentists Dr. Ben Thompson and Dr. Susan Thompson met at their dental school interviews and were married in November 2004. After working in separate practices, the husband and wife team decided to open their own office in 2006. With friends, family, and school ties (particularly North Carolina State University) in the area, Raleigh was a natural choice. Dr. Ben and Dr. Susan take tremendous pride in the practice they have built together.
Lossie the four legged member of theThompsonFamily Dentistry Team. She came to us in 2018 and loves to spend time in the doctors office curled up in her bed. If a patient needs comfort or cheering up, shes happy to pay them a visit, just ask!
The youngest child of a military family, Ben was raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He graduated magna cum laude from North Carolina State University with a bachelors degree in Zoology before following in the footsteps of his father and sister by attending dental school. Dr. Ben earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2004.
Dr. Susan was raised just outside of Charlotte in Kings Mountain, North Carolina and graduated from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics in Durham. She attended Washington and Lee University and graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude with a bachelors degree in Chemistry. She then went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2004 with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Martie has been part of our practice since October 2007. She earned a bachelors degree in health and promotions from East Carolina University in 2002, and an associates degree in dental hygiene from Wake Technical Community College in 2005.
Amanda is originally from Michigan and moved to North Carolina in 2002. She has been a dental hygienist for almost 25 years. In her free time she enjoys hiking, working out, and spending time with her husband and two boys.
Hilna earned her bachelors degree from Wofford College in 2009 and completed the dental hygiene program at Greenville Technical College in 2011. She joined the team in January 2021. She and her husband enjoy outdoor activities and traveling.
Gena earned her certificate in dental assisting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2006 and has been with the practice since the doors opened that same year. She and her husband Gre, have one son, Cameron. They are all Harry Potter fanatics!
Brooke earned her certificate in dental assisting from Triangle School of Dental Assisting in 2019 and joined the practice in 2021. She and her husband Austin enjoy spending day son the lake as much as possible. They also have a golden retriever named Millie who loves to play fetch with her toy pig.
Erin joined our team in August of 2007, but left in 2011 to pursue her background in dental consulting and software training. She welcomed a daughter in 2013 but remained part of the Thompson and Thompson family. Her love for our team and patients brought her back full time in May of 2016.
