Dr. Thomas W. Waggener has been practicing dentistry in Waco for 30 years, and he has a loyal following spanning three generations. Dr. Waggener attended the Baylor College of Dentistry and opened his practice in 1978. Dr. Waggener is a Member of American Dental Association, Honorable Order of Good Fellow of the Texas Dental Association and a member of the Central Texas Dental Association.

Dr. Waggener is also a member of the Biomet 3i Synergy Training Program, a year-long mini residency in Restorative Implant Dentistry. This is a study group which is mentored by Nationally Accredited Specialist with emphasis on a team approach of patient treatment and care in the specialty of implant dentistry.

Being an active member of this group enables Dr. Waggener to keep abreast of the latest techniques from single tooth implant restoration to implant retained dentures that can be permanently placed just like natural teeth.

Dr. Waggener is also Certified from the College of Clinical Laser Dentistry accredited through The Nash Institute for Dental Learning in the field of laser dentistry which allows him to perform many procedures without numbing injections. Dr. Waggener is an avid photographer and the photos seen in the office and scrolling on our website are a sampling of his photos. He is a very active member of the Austin Avenue United Methodist Church and is married with two children.

When asked about what sets his practice aside, Dr. Waggener says, our office setting is very conducive to patient care and comfort. At the same time Ive always strived to keep up with the latest techniques, from laser dentistry to digital radiography to sedation dentistry. My goal is to provide my patients with the most comprehensive and comfortable dental experience possible.

Amy grew up in Llano, Texas and moved to Waco in 1990 to attend Texas State Technical Institute where she graduated as a dental assistant. She has been assisting Dr Waggener since February 1992. Amy lives in Bosqueville with her husband Russell and their youngest son Stephen, while their oldest boy Taylor attends the University of Texas at Austin. Amy enjoys trips to Austin to visit Taylor and attending Stephens baseball games.

Julie is part of our clinical team, serving as a dental assistant. She has over 28 years of dental experience with a focus in general dentistry as well as previous experience in oral surgery and orthodontia. Julie enjoys working at Thomas W. Waggener DDS specifically for the team atmosphere and dedication to patient care and well-being. She is married with three children, two grandchildren and two fur babies. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, supporting her husbands band, Phil and Bill Show and spending time with friends and family.

Bailey is from the big Crawford, Texas. After high-school, she obtained her bachelors in Education at Tarleton University. She continued her education at Texas State Technical College where she graduated with her RDA. She has been assisting since 2014. She has been a part of Dr. Waggeners team since October of 2016. Bailey loves spending time at home with her husband Scott and two daughters Taegan and Talen and their Great Dane, Moose. When they have free-time they love to spend it with their family and friends outdoors.

Jessica has worked in the dental field for over 12 years and obtained knowledge in multiple areas of the business. She proudly strives to exceed patient expectations by going above and beyond to assist with all insurance needs as well as advocating the necessary information to maximize your dental benefits to the fullest. Jessica lives in China Spring with her husband, Matt, two beautiful daughters, Kinsley and Kyndal, and two miniature schnauzers, Lilly and Trigger. Jessica is a member of First Methodist Church of Waco and enjoys spending time with friends and family, boating on the lake and being outdoors in general. Jessica says, I am thankful for the life I have and find it heartwarming to know I have the opportunity every day to make a difference in someone elses. To say the least, I am certainly blessed to know I am a part of such a loving and caring team of professionals here at Thomas W. Waggener, DDS.

Amy has been practicing Dental Hygiene since 2007. You will find that she is compassionate, able to put her patients at ease and ensures a positive dental experience. She loves educating her patients on their oral health and believes that creating a healthy oral environment leads to overall better health. When she isnt at work, she is found enjoying the outdoors with her husband, David, their two children Cutter Lane (8) and Cora Belle (3 going on 14), three dogs, and many various animals. They enjoy hunting, fishing, and watching their son play sports. She also LOVES to shop!

Veronika initially fell in love with dentistry as an assistant and has been in the dental field for the past ten years. She decided to further her education and graduated from TSTC-Harlingen as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She moved back to Waco to be close to family, which even today is very important to her. Veronika loves getting to know her patients and creating personal relationships with them. She takes pride in educating patients on oral hygiene habits and nutrition to help prevent cavities and gum disease. Her biggest goal is to make each dental visit a pleasant one. Veronika is married with four kiddos and has an active family life. They can be found on the soccer fields, basketball courts, parks, or Antioch Community Church.

Doctor Waggener and his staff take great pride in the community in which they work and live. They are involved in many community and civic organizations throughout the Waco area, and our proud to give back as much as they can. Doctor Waggener and Hygienist Jana at a Waco Elementary School
