Having worked in his older brother's orthodontic office growing up, Dr. Thomas hoped to be an orthodontist at an early age and wanted to receive the best education that was offered. Dr. Thomas began his undergraduate training at theUniversity of Floridawhere he received a Bachelor of Science Diploma majoring in zoology. He then earned his dental degree at theMedical University of South Carolinawhere he won the American Association of Orthodontists Student Award and theHinmanAwardfor dental research.
Dr. Thomas advanced his dental education by completing a general residency program at theUniversity of Pennsylvania. He received his Orthodontic Certificate and Masters in Science Degree at theUniversity of Detroit Mercywhere he learned the most advanced techniques and was educated directly from one of the founders of modern orthodontics,Dr. Ronald H Roth. Dr. Thomas is proud to be one of the first Tampa orthodontists to becomeInvisalign certified so he could offerInvisalign treatments for his patients.
What's more, Dr. Thomas has published articles in two orthodontic journals Research Article 1 Research Article 2. In addition to his excellent education and experience, he remains committed to continuing education by spending two to three weeks per year learning the latest and most advanced techniques. Dr. Thomas and his staff are great. Both of my sons are patients and we couldn't be more pleased. Consistency in the staff, so we've gotten to know them well. Everyone is very friendly, professional and helpful. Great experience.

The staff and the doctor have been fantastic . Every visit seems to be better than the last the quality of there work has been flawless, very professional,accommodating an all around pleasant and safe stress free experience during these trying times..so far our 6 or seventh visit all has been exceptional.. highly recommend five star for sure..

Thomas orthodontist has excellent staff, & doctors. I feel confident in their knowledge. All of the staff we have spoke to, have always been great. They have been flowing my 7 year old, for future treatment he will need. I have confidence in their doctors. Thank you

I've recently started the Invisalign program with Thomas Orthodontics. The team have been incredibly friendly and helpful at every appointment. I highly recommend Dr Thomas and his amazing team if you're in need of care that requires an Orthodontist!

I am so happy I chose this place based on the interactions staff and Dr. Thomas has with myself and my daughter initially. It has only gotten better with the professionalism and positive atmosphere the staff there has each visit. We drive from Clearwater to the New Port Richey office but its only every 6 weeks for the most part. People told me I better choose a place close to home because we will ALWAYS be there, SO not the case and even if it were, I would choose Thomas Orthodontics EVERY TIME. I am happy I entrusted them with caring for my daughters beautiful smile.

5 stars for this office. Great experience. Thomas and his staff were so pleasant and friendly. They went above and beyond for me during my visit. Thomas took my x-rays and saw things that not even my dentist saw and it explained so much of what I have been experiencing. So glad I went to this consultation.

Dr. Thomas and his staff are great. They are very personable and friendly. I especially found the treatment coordinator, Melissa, very honest and helpful. I am very pleased with the convenience of the evening hours and the ease of scheduling appointments. All in all a fantastic experience thus far.
