Having worked in his older brother's orthodontic office growing up, Dr. Thomas hoped to be an orthodontist at an early age and wanted to receive the best education that was offered. Dr. Thomas began his undergraduate training at theUniversity of Floridawhere he received a Bachelor of Science Diploma majoring in zoology. He then earned his dental degree at theMedical University of South Carolinawhere he won the American Association of Orthodontists Student Award and theHinmanAwardfor dental research.
Dr. Thomas advanced his dental education by completing a general residency program at theUniversity of Pennsylvania. He received his Orthodontic Certificate and Masters in Science Degree at theUniversity of Detroit Mercywhere he learned the most advanced techniques and was educated directly from one of the founders of modern orthodontics,Dr. Ronald H Roth. Dr. Thomas is proud to be one of the first Tampa orthodontists to becomeInvisalign certified so he could offerInvisalign treatments for his patients.
What's more, Dr. Thomas has published articles in two orthodontic journals Research Article 1 Research Article 2. In addition to his excellent education and experience, he remains committed to continuing education by spending two to three weeks per year learning the latest and most advanced techniques. When we met Dr Thomas we instantly hit it off. He is communicable and treated my teen son like he was the patient and not a child. My son felt immediately comfortable and is ready to start orthodontic treatment with Dr Thomas and his Clinic. The entire team is kind and responsive. I truly feel that because Dr Thomas has a great personality the staff follows his footsteps. Every person that I saw were kind and spoke to me like they were my friend or family. All non judgmental and genuine. Thank You. Best part- you can go to Ross while your kid is at their appointments.

We will be starting treatments for my son soon. It was so refreshing to meet an Orthodontist, who is honest and open about costs, and the appropriate type of braces for my child. He was our 6th consultation, after other offices upcharged because we have insurance, or pushed invisaline, which we are not interested in. Dr. Thomas and his staff are very kind, and make it clear they are here for what's best for you, not just looking to make a buck.

Dr. Thomas and his staff are amazing. Very friendly and personable. My oldest son completed his round of braces and my second son is currently undergoing treatment. They have great hours which helps working parents. I highly recommend Dr. Thomas and his staff.

So glad I chose Thomas Orthodontics for my daughter's care. Dr. Thomas and his staff are super professional and friendly. Good vibes all around. I wouldn't have imagined enjoying myself at an orthodontist appointment! I could have stayed and chatted for longer, but my kid was tugging at my arm Plus, evening appointments. They make it so easy for our work and school schedule. Highly recommend!!!

After going to smile direct club and being told very wrong information that almost led to me being scammed, I was relieved to find this place. Everyone is very nice and honest. This is the best place ever Staff is always sweet and caring. Dr Thomas is an amazing person he is always truthful but caring a perfect place. I drive 2hr 30 mins to see them. That shows how much I love this place
