Dr. Thomas is a Montgomery native, born and raised. She is a product of the public school system where she graduated from the Lanier Academic Motivational Program (LAMP). She loves this town and has always wanted to give back to her community in any way she can. Thats what led her to study dentistry and return to Montgomery to practice.
She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Fisk University, located in Nashville, Tennessee, where she graduated summa cum laude. She earned her Master of Science Degree in Biology from Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama. In 1998, Dr. Thomas obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry.
After dental school, Dr. Thomas entered private practice as an associate dentist. Now, shes been working in dentistry for more than 21 years and has achieved her dream of building a thriving practice right here in her hometown.
Dr. Thomas is truly passionate about dentistry and works hard to not only serve those around her but to do her work with the highest possible standards of excellence. She does this by staying current with the newest techniques, latest trends, and most recent diagnostic equipment as well as by continuing her education and attending trainings each year. She uses the knowledge she gains at these trainings to make the dental experience better for her patients.
In addition to her Montgomery practice, she still dedicates time to providing dentistry for non-profit clinics. In these clinics, she offers emergency and restorative care to those who need her many talents. Also, Dr. Thomas provides comprehensive dental care to veterans and members of the United States military. Serving the military is a cause that is close to her heart because Dr. Thomas served as a member of the Alabama National Guard. Dr. Thomas has also spent time in a school-based dental clinic, where she did what she could to change the lives of as many kids as possible.
When shes not busy changing the world through dentistry, Dr. Thomas actively attends Mount Zion AME Zion Church where she participates in a number of outreach programs and charitable organizations. In her spare time, she is a sports enthusiast and enjoys exercising, playing golf, and keeping up with football, baseball, basketball, and golf tournaments especially when she gets to share them with family and friends!
Since 2002 Bertha has been taking care of the behind-the-scenes part of our dental office. As the CEO and an office manager, sometimes her jobs such as working with the finances are a little less than glamorous. However, they are absolutely vital, and so is she!
From keeping track of costs to working with marketing, Bertha doesnt just keep the office alive; she keeps it thriving, thanks in part to her extensive education, administrative certification, and experience in the dental industry.
Bertha has four granddaughters of whom she is immensely proud. In fact, the oldest was recently accepted into Coastal Alabama College with a softball scholarship, the second oldest is at the top of her class in school, the next oldest is very active in competitive cheerleading and other school activities, and the youngest is a very gifted toddler. When she isnt spending time with her family, Bertha likes to take a little me-time by shopping or traveling.
From the moment you walk through our door, youll get both amazing customer service and sound financial guidance from Sherrelle. Her number one professional goal is to help each patient get everything they need from their dental visit.
At home, Sherrelle has four kids who keep her on her toes. Aliyah is twelve, Lauren is seven, and the twins Devin and Justice are four years old now. She loves shopping, traveling, and making as many amazing memories as possible with her family.
Faye has been one of our excellent dental assistants since 2015. She is a people person through and through. Whether youre a staff member or patient, she will always do her absolute best to make you feel welcome and comfortable in our office!
Faye graduated from Trenholm State Technical College with the professional goal of helping everyone she can to fulfill their dental needs. Were glad to have her here with us as she accomplishes that goal!
When she isnt at the office, Faye loves to spend her time reading, cooking, shopping, visiting other places, and keeping up with her favorite TV shows. She is also very dedicated to her church and enjoys singing in the choir.
Mary has been with our office since 2018. As a registered dental hygienist, Mary carries a great deal of responsibility and does an amazing job! This includes working individually with patients during cleanings and x-rays.
She makes an amazing addition to our dental office by always keeping a positive attitude and giving her all to everything she does. Although she only recently joined our staff, we hope to have her here for a long time to come!
