Dr. Thomas Pray earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology as well as Master of Science degrees in education and molecular genetics from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Buffalo, graduating with double honors in pediatric and operative dentistry. He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentists.
As a marathon runner, national rowing champion and triathlete, Dr. Pray brings a devotion to fitness and healing to his practice, inspiring patients toward optimal health. He and his wife Rhonda live on a former dairy farm in southwest Saratoga county where they grow acres of vegetables to share with friends and patients. During harvest season you are likely to end your visit with an armful of naturally sweet treats: home grown sweet corn or ripe tomatoes!

Dr. Pray is the best! I called early morning with extreme tooth pain, Naomi fit me in, no problem!! Dr. Prays office has friendly and profession staff and the latest technology in dentistry. What more could you ask for?

I always have a positive experience when visiting Dr. Pray. His staff including receptionists and dental hygienist all are professional and informative if I have a question. Office and surrounding areas are always very clean.

I moved to the area in 2019 and just googled "dentist near me." I selected a dentist who did work on me. I was in horrible pain and over the course of 3 months visited this dentist 4x to try and fix the problem. When I lost all confidence in that dentist I took a gamble with Dr. Pray and I am so glad I did. Not only was he able to fix my issue but he explained everything to me and made suggestions that I have implemented and my teeth have never been better! Dr. Pray is so down to earth you almost forget he is a dental genius. His front desk Naomi is so nice and patient to everyone, at the desk, on the phone, in the waiting room. They hygienist Gabby is awesome- you get such a good cleaning with no pain and no bleeding. This office is so great my husband and my 4 kids (ages 12, 10, 8, and 5) all see Dr. Pray. I don't write many review but Dr. Pray deserve 5+ stars and when you google "dentist near me" hopefully you read the reviews. I wish I did.

I'll be honest; I only went to Dr Pray because he could get me in quickly, and he was a friend of a friend. However, his office staff, hygienists, and assistants were wonderful. I had a great experience and recommend him to all my friends in the area. My treatment was cost-friendly, and he was very honest about potential outcomes. I recently moved and transferred to another dentist, but I will always remember my first positive dental experiences here!

Made the decision to seek out a new dentist. Dr. Pray's practice was recommended by a friend. What a delightful experience. How often do you say "delightful" when talking about going to the dentist? Great team of professionals who genuinely enjoy working together. Explained my priorities and then put a plan together, step by step, and got started right away. Identified some issues my prior dentist never considered. The feel of a hometown practice with the latest technology in an incredibly safe and personable environment.

First time to Dr. Pray's office was great. Excellent staff including the receptionist and the hygienist Asma. Asma was fantastic and highly recommend. Dr. Pray was precise and very up front about everything. Looking forward to many more trips to this office.

Dr. Pray, and his staff, are very professional, courteous, and thorough. I love that I can go in to get a crown and be done with it very shortly after. No two separate appointments needed. He is totally dedicated to safety when it comes to Covid19, so I feel secure in going there for treatment.

Great job as always, I've been going to Dr. Pray for 30 years now and have always had a great experience. Today was no different, they were friendly, knowledgeable and aware of how I was doing and when I needed a break. Very accommodating and they always make sure the outcome is perfect. I appreciate the staff for making me feel comfortable throughout the process. They make sure they are following all safety measures when you arrive and when you are being worked on. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!!!

Dr.Pray and his staff are the most caring and compassionate dental office you will find. I have been a patient for over 4 years, and anytime I have ever needed an appointment I am in within a day or two. When it comes to dental pain the doctor will even try to get you in the same day! I had a molar extracted at an oral surgeon and they cracked the tooth ahead of the tooth they pulled. I could not get a response from the oral surgeon at all after days of calling. Finally I gave up and called Dr. Pray, as usual he got me right in the first apt I could make into the office and sealed my tooth before any decay could happen. You are greeted with positive energy and upbeat friendliness always, I 100% recommend this practice to anyone in need of a reliable and empathetic dentist!

Got a crown done in one visit, they have their own CNC mill to make the crown while you wait. Whole visit was only 1 hour. The crown looks and feels perfect. Dr. Pray is great and the rest of the staff is wonderful. Highly recommended.

I have been a patient of Dr. Pray's for more than 15 years. He fixed all the botched work I had done by previous dentists and taught me preventative action I can take to continue to improve my own oral health. Anytime I've had to have work done by him or Dr. Joy it's always painless and it's always sustainable, lasting many years. Crowns are completed in the same day by their cool technology that they have and pre covid you could even watch the process. Doc and all the staff all have the same positive and friendly energy every visit. My only recommendation for improvement would be to go non toxic for cleaning products as well as asking staff to be scent free.

I had just recently went to see Dr. Pray to have a crown installed. Him and his staff were able to quickly make me feel comfortable and at ease with the procedure. They were able to make the crown right there at the office, so the fit was perfect and I was out of there in no time. Dr.Pray and his staff are absolutely amazing.

Dr Pray and his staff have been nothing short of phenomenal in the care they have provided me. I began seeing Dr Pray shortly before the covid pandemic and Dr Pray was able to maintain his business to such high standards throughout the pandemic I have always felt safe when I go. Just an idea of how well suited they are to handling any issues: I had a crown from a tooth I broke many years ago while eating popcorn. The crown always bothered me and would routinely come off. I wasn't happy with the crown and when I started seeing Dr Pray I mentioned the crown was coming off during one of my cleanings. He examined and realized I needed an emergency root canal. He was able to perform the root canal and when I came back just a short while later he was able to install posts, build a foundation, build and install a crown right in his office in a single visit. Was effortless and fast. One thing I want to make sure I add is that I really appreciate the Sunday calls from Dr Pray, this is where he calls patients he's seen during the week just to see how they're feeling and if they need to stop in. Was always a nice touch. Thank you for everything Dr Pray.

Dr Pray and his staff are top notch! Since moving from Maine three years ago it has been difficult to find quality service in many aspects of life and people who meet our expectations of excellence. However, Dr pray and staff (especially our hygienist awesome Asma!!) have been nothing but people of excellence, knowledge, integrity, and wonderfully kind & personable. They have been a breath of fresh air since we have relocated to NY and we wouldn't go anywhere else for our dental needs!!
