Each patient quickly comes to understand that they are the one in control, that there are going to be no surprises. All treatment options are decided upon by the patient with our help and guidance, in the patients best interest.
Our team is filled with dental care and administrative experts that share many years working together. There is a jovial atmosphere among the staff, a lightheartedness that only comes from working with our friends and doing what we love. Consistent, quality care is our main focus.
In his 20-plus years as a New Hampshire resident, Dr. Schell has built a solid reputation for giving back to the community. A long standing participant in the Give Back a Smile program which provides free dental services forvictims of domestic violence. He is also a strong supporter of programs such asyouth hockey and a volunteer supporter/underwriter for the Upper Valley Humane Society. A perpetual student he also enjoys teaching as an adjunct faculty member at the Dartmouth Medical School where hes sponsored dental elective courses for medical students. Dr. Schell is most interested in complex restorative/prosthetic care, cosmetics and obstructive sleep apnea.
His educational degrees include honors and awards from Fairleigh Dickinson College of Dental Medicine, as well as a residency program through Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has continued to further his education in the various specialties of Dental Sleep Medicine and prosthetics by attending numerous seminars and classes in this field. Dr. Schell has delivered a lecture at the annual meeting of the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine in Seattle and was asked to representthe academy on a media tour in NYC. He has also lectured on the topic of dental sleep medicine at Brigham and Womens Hospital and Mass General.
Dr. Schell is an avid artist in many mediums including ceramics, sculpture and painting, outdoor adventurer and naturalist. He brings a well-rounded and sensitive touch and eye for esthetics to his profession. When you visit the practice you can clearly see his love of nature, symmetry and beauty abound with many different pieces of art adorning the practice from paintings to sculptures. (Some he even painted himself!)
Dr. Schell lives in Meriden with his wife of 20+ years, Stephanie and their three wonderful children in an antique 1797 farm. Aside from working on the farm (they do their own haying) he enjoys spending his free time with his family, hiking in the mountains, biking and spending time in his studio throwing pottery on the wheel, doing sculpture in a variety of media including marble and painting with acrylic and oils. They have 6 rescue cats, 1 dog, and lots of sheep, chickens, cows, goats and piglets.
Dr. Yazdani joins us as an associate Dentist from Bangor, Maine and originally from northern Virginia. He was trained and educated at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC where he also worked as a research assistant. He then went on to gain additional residency training in Bangor Maine at Penobscot Community Health Care where he evolved into leadership among his team and into a position as an attending provider. An avid volunteer and community advocate, Dr. Yazdani is both jovial and enthusiastic, as well as sensitive and perceptive. He and his wife Sahar are looking to settle into the Upper Valley and make it their home. Dr. Yazdani is a joy to be around and we all feel so very lucky to have his level of skill and good natured buoyant personality on our team.
Our team is filled with dental care and administrative experts that share many years working together. The office atmosphere is warm and fun. We are more then just co-workers, we are friends. We enjoy what we do and we enjoy working together to do it!

Very efficient practice, with well trained staff. As a new patient who had a broken crown replaced by Dr Yazdani, they made me feel comfortable by explaining the procedure and options. A full exam showed some issues to watch, but nothing so pressing it needed immediate attention. The hygienists who have examined and cleaned my teeth were gentle and thorough. I am very happy to have found a great dental practice.

My husband and I have been clients of Dr. Schell for years. Their service is above and beyond especially during the Covid Pandemic. All of the staff is attentive, know the answers to any questions you may have and well trained on the latest equipment and trends. Dr Schell is an excellent dentist.

The assistant, hygienist and dentist were all kind, thoughtful and lovely. I didn't feel rushed and they all took their time getting to know me. I have been searching for a dentist for years that I felt was a good fit and I definitely think I've found a winner.

My appointment was at 9:00 AM, but because of an unavoidable dental emergency, Dr. Schell was running about 15 minutes late. And I had a meeting that I just needed to be home for at 11:00 AM. Once Dr. Schell understood the situation he worked quickly, efficiently, & maybe most important, good naturedly, to do what needed to be done & get me on my way in a timely manner. In fact, he was able to do more than scheduled, saving me another visit. Thank-you Dr. Schell!

I have always been extremely satisfied with the dental care I have received from Dr. Schell, and my hygenists, Judy Strong (now retired), and now Dawn. The entire staff is super friendly and caring - they make each visit a pleasant experience and make sure all my questions are answered and my concerns addressed, even when I'd rather be hiking, golfing, gardening, horseback riding, or quilting!!!

I have gone to Dr Schell for over 20 years. Tom has always been a perfectionist and very skilled with things like crowns. Beverly has been my hygienist forever too and I am fond of her as well as being carefully attended to with skill and good humor.

Dr Yazdani is terrific! I enjoyed meeting him and laughing with him and his assistants. I was there to have a crown replaced and because of Dr Yazdani's skill I was able to save some money. And they got the work done correctly the first visit. They are clearly a very talented team.

Absolutely amazing staff. Im a travel nurse from IL and had a filling come out. They were able to see me as a new patient the next day. Started antibiotic and came back 6 days later to have tooth extracted. Dr. Schell was very caring, made sure I was as numb as possible, and helped me feel so much better. His assistant was just as amazing. Cannot praise the entire office enough. From check in to check out....great experience.
