It all started in 1948 when Dr. Edwin Thomas started Thomas Family Dental Associates. After years of serving the community, his sons, Drs. Richard Thomas and Brian Thomas, joined the team. Our dentists and team proudly offer comprehensive dentistry in Medfield, Massachusetts, helping patients throughout the region create healthier smiles.

Dr. Collins grew up in Southern Maine and received his bachelor degree from St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH. He then attended the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Collins is known for his gentle manner and the care he provides for his patients. He enjoys hiking, Boston sports, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.

Dr.EricaDavis graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2016, and then completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the Providence VA Medical Center. For the past four and a half years, Dr. Davis has been providing dentistry for underserved populations in Dorchester, MA in a public health setting. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially doing esthetic cases and working with children of all ages. She will be joiningthe practice part-time in November. Dr. Davis has a personal connection to the town of Medfield, as it is home to her horse Ted, who she visits daily. In her spare time, she also enjoys cooking, fantasy football, and spending time with her family and friends.

Dr. Richard (Rick) Thomas has been practicing in the area since 1986. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame in 1982 and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Georgetown Universitys dental school in 1986. His commitment to continuing education remains a hallmark, and he is involved with the Dawson Academy of Continuing Education. He attends the Yankee Dental Congress in Boston, Massachusetts, annually.

For over 30 years, Dr. Brian Thomas has worked in this community providing high-quality dental care. He is a graduate of Providence College, completing his Bachelor of Science in biology in 1977. After completing his undergraduate studies, Dr. Brian Thomas earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Georgetown Universitys dental school in 1981. He is dedicated to continuing education, and is part of the Dawson Academy of Continuing Education.

Dr. Peter Rider has been providing dental care for over 30 years and practicing endodontic care since 1977. After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree at Providence College in 1967, he went on to receive his DMD degree from the Tufts University School of Dentistry in 1971. Dedicated to furthering his knowledge of endodontic care, Dr. Rider then completed his degree in Specialty of Endodontics at the University of Buffalo Dental School in 1977.

Born and raised in Yeadon, PA, Dr. Rider went on to marry his wife, Debbie, and they have two children, Matthew and Daniel. Residing in Boston, MA, he enjoys skiing, playing tennis, cycling and gourmet cooking.

Dr. Gyusik Cho provides high-quality periodontal care for our patients. He received his Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University in 2005, then went on to pursue his Doctor of Dental Science from New York University College of Dentistry, graduating in 2012. He then received his Master of Science and Periodontal Certificate in 2015 from Boston University.

Every year, Dr. Cho continues to keep up to date on new techniques and procedures that will benefit patients and their smiles. He has received advanced training from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine, completed his post-graduate periodontology program in 2015 and has a certificate in periodontology. Dr. Chos goal is to treat every single patient with care.

Dr. Chos primary focus of treatment is on non-surgical and surgical periodontal therapy such as osseous surgery, crown lengthening, bone grafting, soft tissue surgery and implants. He has been practicing in the area since 2015, where he lives with his wife and child. They love to travel and spend time together.

Heather has been part of the team since 2009. She is close with the team and loves getting to know our patients. She consistently contributes her knowledge of insurance to answer all patient questions.

Larisa joined the team in August of 2000. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Moscow State Art and Cultural University in Moscow, Russia. She also has an associate degree in dental hygiene from Middlesex Community College in Massachusetts.

She lives in the area with her husband and daughter. Her wonderful mother and sisters family still live in Moscow. She says that she is blessed to have other extended family members all across Russia. In her free time, Larisa enjoys music, fine arts, literature and spending time outdoors.

Melissa has been with our team since 2012. You can find her in both of our dental offices. At our office, patient care is the number one goal for our team, and Melissa contributes to that, providing the best possible care for our patients. She loves being a dental hygienist, educating patients and helping them with their individual oral care needs. Melissa finds great joy in helping our patients have success with achieving healthy teeth and gums, and is always concerned with helping her patients stay relaxed with a positive atmosphere.

Pat has been with the practice since 1993. She enjoys working at a family practice as she gets to work with patients of all ages. Pat established an OSHA program and safety and first aid program. For Pat, the most satisfying moments working as a hygienist at Thomas Family Dental Associates have been witnessing firsthand young patients growing up in our practice and establishing good preventive dental health habits early. Pat believes that a persons dental health care habits are embedded early by their parents and dental professionals. She believes its a value system which carries over through generations. She has witnessed that the Thomas Family Dental Associates philosophy was established early by the doctors parents, and simply stated, is Put your patients first, deliver quality and consistent dental care and be charitable. This commitment has been the key to the success of the practice, and Pat is proud to be a member of the team at our office.

Peggy has been with us for over 10 years. Prior to joining our team, she completed her studies at the Forsyth School for Dental Hygiene. She is a team player and is able to help in all aspects of the office. She is kind and considerate of our patients.

She has four sons, Mike, Matt, Pete and Steve, and two daughters-in-law, Christine and Rebecca. Peggy also has one amazing granddaughter, Scarlet. If she isnt at work, you can usually find her with a book in hand because she loves reading.

Anne has been with us for 25 years. She is married with three adult children and four grandchildren. Outside of work, she enjoys boating, riding snow mobiles and visiting the Adirondack mountains with her family.

Barbara joined the Thomas Family Dental Associates team in July of 1981. She is a graduate of the Boston Public School Dental Assisting Program. She enjoys talking to patients and making them feel more relaxed and comfortable. Barbara is friendly with patients and tries to help the dentists as much as she can. She keeps the team on schedule and has everything organized and prepared for our patients.

Barbara is the youngest of nine children, with six brothers and two sisters. When she is not working, Barbara enjoys swimming and boogie boarding in the ocean. She also enjoys photography and going to the movies.
