Thomas Covington, Family Dentistry - General dentist in Plymouth, MI

Dr. William Covington took over the practice from the late Dr. Todd, formerly located at 376 S. Harvey right next door to the current office. The old building was demolished and is now the parking lot for the real estate office on the corner. Who would have imagined in those early years, that one day Covington Family Dentistry would go on to include three generations of dentists.

Thomas Covington, Family Dentistry - General dentist in Plymouth, MI

Growing up as the son of a dentist, Tom Covington saw first-hand what was required of a small town dentist. He liked the patients, he liked working with his hands and the pride of work well-done. So after his undergraduate work at Michigan State University, he continued on to the Dental School at University of Michigan. He started working together with his dad after graduation in 1987. A few years later, the elder Dr. Covington gradually retired. The current Dr. Covington still sees patients from his fathers original practice.

My former dentist in Southfield retired, and the one replacing him encouraged additional dental work. I switched to Dr Covington, and he assured me that I didn't need the extra work at this time. He was able to replace a filling instead of doing a crown, and was able to repair a chipped tooth. He and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional, but are also very gentle and calming. I feel very fortunate to have switched to them.

Dr. Tom is the best! I have been a patient for 20+ years. After 3 east coast dentists, my kids fly home to see Dr. Tom! He's the greatest!

My son had been seeing one of the new local dentists for quite a while. I was stupid not to take him somewhere else a long time ago. They were terrible with his braces, his wisdom teeth extraction was terrible, two infections and a small hole left in the gums. They never came out to talk to me about his treatment and kept telling me he had cavities. Then they would do them in fifteen minutes with no novacaine. One of them even fell out and they didn't even notice! Then they told me he had four cavities! I looked on the website for my subdivision and asked who was good and well established, and three people said Dr. Covington was great. My son liked him and he came out to talk to me. And guess what? He didn't find any of those four cavities! I'm calling today to get myself an appointment!
