Dr. Tran is an active community member, volunteering his service for underprivileged patients with organizations such as the Berkeley Free Clinic, CDA Cares, Tzu Chi Foundation, and Remote Area Medical.
Dr. Thodas has been in private practice in the Bay Area since his graduation from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Dr. Thodas followed his father and uncle into the dental profession and has six dentists in his immediate family. Thodas dental care in the Bay Area dates back to 1932, a proud legacy.
Dr. Thodas serves on the Board of Directors of the Pacific Dental Education Foundation, University of the Pacific. He is the chairperson and co-curator of the Institute of Dental History and Craniofacial Study. He also serves as a dental consultant to Skyline College. He is a trustee of the Frances and John Wahl Charitable Foundation.
Dr. Thodas is an active member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Mateo County Dental Society, the American Academy of the History of Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Academy of Laser Dentistry.
Dr. Thodas is married to Dr. Gabrielle Thodas whom he met in Dental School. She is an Orthodontist who is the Clinical Director of the Orthodontic Department at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. They have four grown children and nine grandchildren. Dr. Thodas enjoys spending time with his family, fly fishing in the Sierras and raising Japanese Koi.
Patti grew up in Michigan with her two sisters & three brothers. Being the baby she was the only one to venture out and arrived in California in 1992. After college she worked at John Hancock Life Ins Co. for five years learning claim processing, various dental contracts & underwriting. One summer visit to Northern Ca, was all it took and she knew this would be her new home and arrived that October.
She joined Dr. Thodas a few years later and is now celebrating her 25th year. She joins the rest of the team attending classes and conventions keeping the practice state of the art. She proudly transitioned Dr. Tran into the practice.
Her love is travel being out of the country every year since 2002 & many trips home and in the USA. Her soul is in Europe. She is loves the prelude, the trip and post of all her travels. When she is not traveling she loves yoga, hiking and being with her friends. She is proud to work for an ethical office, many of the patients have become Pattis extended California family.
In Caitlins free time, she loves going on hikes & walks, baking, cooking, hanging out with her fiance & kitten, and spending time with family. She loves going to Giants games and watching the 49ers & Warriors. Caitlin is very happy to be working with a great group of colleagues & friends, and cant wait for whats to come in the future of the practice.
Alice attended City College of San Francisco where she received her certificate as a registered dental assistant. She later continued her education at UCSF and became expanded function certified. This is the equivalent of a nurse practitioner in medicine, and allows Alice to directly treat patients at the chair with procedures on her own.
Her passion and commitment for her work and patients goes beyond the office. Occasionally Alice will make special house calls for her elderly patients. Even with her constant desire for work, she manages to find time to travel to the Hawaiian Islands at least once a year.
During her downtime (if she has any), you can find her sewing quilts, cooking up new fried rice recipes, and indulging her imagination in a racy Danielle Steel novel. Alice is fluent in Cantonese and Vietnamese.
Georgia was born and raised in San Francisco. She graduated from Broome College-State University of New York in Binghamton studying Dental Hygiene. She currently resides in the Peninsula with her family. Georgia takes great joy in being a mom, traveling, camping, trying new restaurants and enjoying a nice glass of wine. She has been with the practice for over 16 years.
Georgia finds working for Drs. Thodas and Tranto be the most honest, relaxed and professional employers to work for. She approaches every patient interaction with gentleness and clarity, and she is always there to answer questions.
Georgias overall mission is to focus on education and teach patients about the importance of preventive care. Forming long-term relationships with patients is her favorite part of being a dental hygienist. Georgia give patients a dental experience that is educational, transparent, and safe.
Kim graduated from Mercy High School in Burlingame and earned her Bachelors Degree in Dental Science at UCSF. Kim was born and raised in South San Francisco but resides in the East Bay with her husband and their fourchildren. She is fond of a not so serious game of golf, snow skiing, attending and watching various sporting events.
Christine, a Registered Dental Hygienist, joined our practice in 2017, bringing over 25 years of dental experience to our team. Christine earned her BS in Health Science from San Francisco State University and completed her Hygiene degree at Carrington College, where she also teaches.

Thomas & Tran is an amazing dental practice. Not only are they a well-oiled machine of efficiency and professionalism, and super friendly people, they have investigated and taken care of my teeth in a way no dentist ever has in my life. (It just makes me think all my previous dentists were just phoning it in.)

I hav been visiting this office for 40 years! Dr. Tran has only improved this fabulous team of folks! My hygienist is by far the most skilled, gentle and thorough you could want. If I name her I will never get a chance to get an appointment! Dr Tran is fun and charming, interpersonally skilled and has made the transition from Thodas seamless. His new business is reliable, mindful and comprehensive. He is responsive snd you will get just the care you need- no unnecessary hidden costs! Easy parking! No downsides! All good!

The staff are professionals and treat you like family. I appreciate their attention to detail and the pride they take in their work. They are thorough yet gentle with their cleanings. It's a convenient location with parking readily available. I appreciate the complimentary toothbrush and floss with each visit, too. Options are provided and they are very supportive when navigating the insurance process. I highly recommend.

I have been going to this dental clinic for years, and I have nothing negative to say. The staff members are extremely friendly and Dr. Tran's patience and attention to detail is the best. His explanations are very thorough and easy to understand. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a friendly and knowledgeable dentist in the bay.

I was definitely nervous going to the dentist especially since I figured I needed a tooth pulled. Patti was so sweet and helpful when I called to set an appointment for the first time. Dr. Tran was so nice, and caring about my dental needs. Not to mention the office therapy dog put me at ease everytime I come in. Great staff, and outstanding work. Highly recommend!

I appreciate Dr. Tran's careful attention to every detail. I recently was fitted for a new crown, and he filed a chipped tooth at no charge. His business ethics are fantastic. You couldn't find a better dentist.

Dr. Tran and his team are the best! Dr. Tran helped me with my anxiety and nervousness about getting work done Invisalign and helped explain the process and costs clearly and thoroughly. He helped manage my expectations and let me know of the benefits not only cosmetically but with my bite. His office took all the precautions that make you feel safe during COVID. I'm finally done with Invisalign and couldn't be happier with the whole process thanks to Dr. Tran.

Dr Tran is simply the best. I've been to so many dentists who are too rough or simply don't care. Dr Tran will (if you're interested) tell you why he recommends certain things done and is transparent on cost. Also, the front desk staff is always nice so that's always a big plus.

Friendly, courteous, professional. Highly recommend this dental office. Front office is always helpful and flexible. Hygiene staff very thorough. Drs. Thodas and Tran trained on the newest procedures and thoroughly explain every step. Many patient have been with them for a very long time.

With COVID I feel completely safe with the Thodas and Tran team. I love Nami, their dental therapy dog. She makes going to the dentist something I look forward to! I would recommend this place to everyone!

I had a tooth pain while out of town for business and needed to find a local dentist. From the google and Yelp reviews I decided to try dr. Thodas and Tran. They were professional and I felt completely safe. They take all the precautions. Unfortunately I had to do a root canal....but that was my fault. Scared from all the stories it was quite the surprise dr. Tran was super gentle and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! Love Nami the dog! She made the experience even better! Highly recommended

Dr. Tran took great care of me. Growing up I had a lot of dental phobias but after my experience with Dr. Tran and his honest and caring personality I felt comfortable I made the right choice. If you are on the fence, I highly recommend giving the Thodas and Tran team a try. You won't regret it

I didnt know my prior dentist was taking advantage of me and Ever since I've gone to Dr. tran things have been a thousand times better! The equipment is up to date, appointments are scheduled appropriately and billing is transparent which is huge. The staff are very kind and personable. I'm thankful I found this dentist.

Dr. Tran and the staff there are amazing. I feel like they really care about not just my teeth but my general well being. I get a courtesy call before my scheduled appointments just to check if my schedule has changed. I really like that since my schedule is always changing. Would highly recommend if you're looking for a trusted dentist to spend an hour inside your mouth.

This dentist office has changed my perspective on dentistry! I loathed my dentist growing up, so I didn't go to a dentist for ten years in my twenties!! However, when I got married, my wife couldn't pipe down about how much she loved her dentist... She wasn't wrong! It is always the warmest welcome walking in the door!

I have my dental service at this office for more than 10 years. Dr. Thodas and Dr. Tran are very professionally, friendly, excellent to take care all dental problem. Definitely will continue come back even it takes me 45 minutes drive one way for an appointment. Good well done job, especially thank to Dr. Tran. Highly recommend to everyone.
