Dr. Theodore Hadgis graduated with honors from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry and is a former Assistant Clinical Professor in Restorative Dentistry at his alma mater. He has published and spoken on many different dental subjects including Prosthetic Dentistry and Cosmetic Dentistry.
As an Accredited Member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and an LVI Fellow of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, Dr. Hadgis is one of a select few cosmetic dentists nationwide to have passed the arduous requirements for both of these awards. He combines neuromuscular dental techniques with state of the art cosmetic dentistry to treat TMJ and myofascial pain while restoring a beautiful smile. He is unique within his field as the only Accredited member of the AACD who is also skilled in neuromuscular dentistry in the state of Michigan. He has had great success treating patients with a history of chronic headaches, neckaches and TMJ, by means of non-surgical orthognathic jaw repositioning.

I am a clinical attending in a post-doctoral residency program and on the clinical faculty of NYU School of Dental Medicine/Langone Hospital. I also maintain a private practice and have been in practice for 40 years. I recently examined a patient new to the state and my practice. She had been treated eight years ago by Dr. Hadgis. At that time she had four anterior veneers placed. I was so impressed by this treatment rendered eight years ago that I personally called Dr. Hadgis and expressed to him that these were some of the best veneers I have ever seen in my 40 years of practice. Dr. Hadgis is a devoted husband and father of three sons and enjoys golfing in his spare time. He is a past president of the Grosse Pointe Rotary Club and remains an active member with perfect attendance for over 30 years.

Shawn discovered her love for dentistry in high school. She was involved in a dental co-op program and was surprised by how rewarding she found it. That experience was her first step in a successful dental career. After high school, she took dental assisting courses in college, as well as post graduate courses at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. The most satisfying part of her job is knowing she is a part of changing someones life by giving them a new smile. She has been with our office for 28 years. In her spare time, Shawn loves playing tennis, swimming, and reading.
Marthas very first job was as an after school dental assistant in Dr. Hadgis office. She stayed in this position for several years while she obtained her bachelors degree at Wayne State University. She worked in the business world for a few years, but really missed the dental environment. She later entered the University of Detroit where she received a bachelor of science with a certificate in dental hygiene. Her favorite part of her job is the personal interaction with the patients. She loves getting to know them and helping improve their dental health.
Lisa grew up just south of Detroit in Southgate. After high school, she graduated with a Dental Hygiene degree from Lansing Community College. Shes worked as a hygienist since 1999 and has been with our office since 2017. She makes it a personal goal to put patients at ease in the dental chair while improving their oral health.
She loves the Grosse Pointe area, especially the architecture of the homes and the sunrises on Lake St. Clair. Lisa married in 1999 and is the mother of 3 children. She strives to be the best mom she can. When shes not working, she and her family love trying new restaurants and traveling to new places.
Jan and Dr. Hadgis married in 1975 and have been a team ever since. Both are passionate about providing excellence in care and service to all patients. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Jacksonville University and has been office administrator for over 35 years, bringing the same level of expertise to the running of the office that her husband once brought with his skills as a dentist. It is a joy to witness a patients happiness with their beautiful new smile and improved function.

I have known Dr. Hadgis for over 35 years. I have been a patient for over 25 years. Dr. Hadgis is a phenomenal dentist. Without going into the multiple procedures that I have had over the years, the most recent being a crown this past week, every aspect of every single procedure and outcome has been nothing but perfect. Dr. Hadgis and his staff are extremely accommodating and caring. Every visit, Dr. Hadgis takes the time to discuss all aspects of exactly what he will be performing from start to finish. I highly recommend Dr. Hadgis. Absolutely the BEST!

I have known Dr. Hadgis for over 35 years. I have been a patient for over 25 years. Dr. Hadgis is a phenomenal dentist. I always wanted to address the tetracycline stains on my teeth resulting from antibiotic use during my childhood. With age, the stains had become much more prominent and, as an experienced dental hygienist, I knew my case would be challenging. Dr. Hadgis' extensive expertise and his attention to detail were the reasons I trusted him to create the custom veneers needed to address the stains and create a natural looking beautiful result. I am so happy with my new smile and have received many compliments. Thank you, Dr. Hadgis, for your exceptional work!

I don't know if I can put into words what Dr. Hadgis and his staff have done for me. I had been thinking of getting cosmetic and reconstructive dental work for years, but like many, was apprehensive. I wanted to find a dentist with the highest credentials/experience, and one that would have my best interests in mind. I was so blessed to have found Dr. Hadgis; to say that I felt comfortable with my decision after my first appointment would be an understatement. I knew I was in the right hands. Dr. Hadgis was very caring, generous with his time, and went to great lengths to ascertain and provide the correct treatments and procedures. The results are more than amazing. A beautiful, natural looking, and - equally important - healthy smile! Thank you, thank you, thank you, Dr. Hadgis. And to top it off, the office staff (Jan, Shawn, Lisa...)couldn't be kinder. During my 30's I had braces twice. Years later after the ortho treatments were completed, I noticed considerable recession of my gums along with the narrowing of my face and smile. Over the past few years, my smile and the width of my upper arch continued to narrow, so at age 67, I decided to see if there was something that could be done to improve my overall facial structure. I live in Phoenix, Arizona where a friend from Michigan showed me the restorative work that Dr. Hadgis had done for her. After meeting the Dr. a few weeks later, and feeling comfortable with his expertise and experience, I decided to have a full mouth restoration. In order to accommodate my travel schedule, Jan scheduled four separate full days over a three month period. I am extremely pleased with my new beautiful porcelain crowns along with the incredible improvement of my smile, the shape of my mouth and face but also the improved function of my bite. Dr. Hadgis and his assistant, Shawn were efficient, professional, and made sure I was comfortable throughout all the procedures. After making four separate trips from Arizona to Michigan, I can confidently recommend Dr. Ted Hadgis. He truly is a "masterpiece artist" who creates works of art. I love my new beautiful smile!! Over 20 years ago, I used to have terrible headaches and took pain reliever every day. My jaw clicked badly when I opened my mouth, it was painful. Dr. Hadgis diagnosed me with TMJ and explained a procedure that he could do to fix it all. Unfortunately, I didn't have the financial means to complete the procedure, but Dr. Hadgis found a way to help me within my budget by creating a temporary appliance that I wore in order to keep my jaw in place. It took me a long time, but I saved the money in order to complete the procedure so that my TMJ would be permanently fixed. Dr. Hadgis and his staff have helped change my life. No more headaches, I very rarely take pain reliever and I now have an absolutely gorgeous smile. I get compliments every day. One of my coworkers told me that her father is a dentist and she's seen a lot of dental work. She said my smile is the best she's ever seen. A friend of mine told me I look absolutely radiant. In the 15 years she's known me, I've never looked better. Dr. Hadgis, Shawn and Jan really cared about me and, I will always be so grateful for their help.

I came to see Dr. Hadgis about 17 months ago for a front tooth implant. I was devestated to here from my previous dentist that I had an infection in my front tooth and it needed to be pulled. After much research I found Dr. Hadgis and made an appointment to see him. As they say "first impression is everything." Dr Hadgis and his staff made me feel welcome they were very kind and understanding of what I was feeling. From that appt. on Dr. Hadgis always made me feel that I was his number one priority. He took time explaining the process and the procedures to me so I felt less worried and upset. After every procedure his staff always called me at home and made sure I was doing 'ok'. Dr. Hadgis is an outstanding dentist. I see him as a perfectionist- he attends to every detail. My final procedure was in January , my front tooth implant is in and it is "perfection." As a child I experienced many bouts of strep throat and was constantly at the doctors. I was treated with medication over the course of 8 years that contained tetracycline prior to having a tosilectomy at age 13. Unfortunately the damage was done. My teeth had been severely stained. For the last 43 years I had wished I could do something about my smile but something always "came up" that prevented me from taking action. This past year I decided that it was now or never and I proceded to start searching the web for a dentist that could help me. During my search I discovered that the particular dentist I needed was a certified cosmetic dentist, not just a dentist that does cosmetic dentistry. To make a long story short, I found Dr. Hadgis and boy am I glad I did my homework. He and his staff were professional and warm from the moment I walked in. After my consultation I decided to have a complete smile restoration. What a great decsion that was!! I wish I would have done this sooner.
