Dr. Genz has been perfecting smiles and helping people protect, rebuild and rejuvenate their oral health for over 14 years. She is an alumna of Plano East Senior High School in Plano, TX, Tulane University in New Orleans, LA (B.S. Neuroscience), and Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX (Doctor of Dental Surgery). She is also a graduate of the highly esteemed Kois Center in Seattle, WA, an advanced graduate didactic and clinical program for practicing dentists.
When she isnt playing tooth sleuth and sculptor, shes probably pursuing adventures with her daughter, son & husband, tending to her garden (sunshine + good + love = growth for plants & family both!), or dumping all of the pickled onions and cotija cheese she can find on some tacos. She is a creative at heart, with a love for clever wordplay and puzzles; shes always looking for ways to turn things upside down + inside out in an effort to restore natural rhythm, beauty + harmony.
Dr. Genz loves live music, conversations + connection with fellow humans, practicing yoga + meditation, and decorating pysanky. She always has at least two books going at once, and is perpetually pursuing new knowledge, experiences and skills, within and beyond the dental realm. Life and wanderlust have allowed her to live at all points of the compass - Alberta, Canada, New Orleans, LA, Alexandria, VA and Puyallup, WA. Somehow, all roads always lead back in Texas, where she and her family have happily dropped roots and settled into her home in Lake Highlands. Cant beat a good patio, some sunshine & margs!

Dr. Genz went above and beyond for my son who was so scared of hands in his mouth. No only did she work with us after hours answering questions, but delivered amazing service that put us all at ease. Thank you to Dr. Genz and the staff at The Whole Tooth.

I've been going to a "holistic" dentist since 2010 but just now found The Whole Tooth and I'm totally converted. My last dentist never once tried to figure out why I was having the problems I've had. Yes, they recommended and used non toxic products, but that's about as holistic as they were. The Whole Tooth has been amazing. I have only had my initial exam so far (follow up is coming up!), and even in that basic intro exam, they checked things that NO ONE has ever once checked on me. I plan on switching my kids over soon as well! Everyone I met was also extremely nice! 11/10!! Highly highly recommend them!!

The end-to-end patient experience with The Whole Tooth is unmatched by any other health practitioner. From the dedicated time spent getting to know me, ensure that my questions or concerns were addressed and even had follow-up next steps lined up to the attention to little details like samples and a proprietary blended tea to-go! Dr. Genz & her staff are absolutely amazing. I decided to switch dentists almost a year ago and it was without a doubt a wonderful decision. When you walk into her office, it is calming & welcoming. My favorite part when getting a cleaning is the dim lighting & blankets they make available if you would like. I recently received a filling & the attention to deal & level of care I received was unlike any dental experience I've ever had. Dr. Genz takes time to explain everything to you in detail and ensures you fully understand. Her staff is professional & personable, and for the first time in my life I look forward to going to the dentist.

I have been frequenting The Whole Tooth since they opened and am extremely pleased with the entire experience. Sara, Erica and Dr. Genz are all extremely knowledgeable, very professional, and use state-of-the-art equipment. My first experience involved a new crown (I was midway through the implant process when Dr. Genz took over this practice.) They did a fantastic job. My adult daughter also now frequents The Whole Tooth. I highly recommend!

Another fantastic experience at The Whole Tooth this morning. Having been to several dentists in my life, I can confidently say you will not find a better dental practice in Dallas. This is not a corporate office that's looking to make a buck out of you, it's friendly faces that genuinely care about their patents and keeping their smiles healthy. We found Dr. Genz and her staff to be much more thorough and engaged than any other Dental office we've visited. They worked hard to make us feel welcome, booked plenty of time and interacted with each child as people, not just patients.

Was struggling so hard to find a good dentist in my area, I'm so glad I gave this clinic a chance. These girls will remember you and tailor your plan of care accordingly, they also take the time to listen to all of my concerns and are very professional and friendly! Not like a factory dentist office where they forget who you are every single time, highly recommend them :) They also have dental plans for persons without insurance which I had never heard of before, but sounds great for those who need it.
