Dr. Heuerman has been practicing dentistry for almost 30 years. He enjoys the challenge of dentistry and making long-lasting relationships with his patients. In addition to general dentistry, Dr. Heuerman loves providing a range of services, including orthodontic services.
He received his B.S. in Pre-medical Science at Eastern Kentucky University and went on to receive his D.D.S. from the University of Detroit School of Dentistry. Dr. Heuerman has extensive continuing education on endodontics, orthodontics, periodontal care, cosmetic dentistry, veneers, and dental implants.
Dr. Heuerman enjoys spending time with his wife and children, cheering on his son and the GVSU Mens Tennis team, traveling, music, and predicting the winner of every grand slam tennis tournament. He is also a guitar player, an active band member of his church, and enjoys writing new songs. He has published an album titled Dental Doc and The SpiTunes, an album of dental covers.
Dr. Ratz has been practicing dentistry for 20 years. He prides himself on taking the time to listen and get to know his patients. He received his B.S. in Psychology in 1986 at Michigan State University and then continued his studies at the Marquette University School of Dentistry. He is a member of the Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity since 1988. Dr. Ratz also has extensive continuing education to keep updated on the latest in dental treatments and techniques.
Away from the dental office, he loves reading, watching movies, listening to great music, and cooking for family and friends. Dr. Ratz is also a Detroit Red Wings Fan, an MSU Spartans fan as well as an avid comic and action figure collector.

I am always nervous going to the dentist but Dr. Ratz and his staff make you as comfortable as possible. He explains everything and gives you time to ask questions. I highly recommend them.

Dr. Ratz is the best. He puts you at ease as soon as he enters the exam room. The staff are always pleasant and professional too. I would highly recommend going to this office. If you have any fears of going to the dentist, they surely make them go away.

I've been going to The Waterford Dentist for a couple years now and I will say it's the best experience I've had at any medical like appointment ever. Everyone in the office is so kind and they don't talk around you like most people in the field do. They are also very quick. They get you in within ten minutes of your appointment time and the actual cleaning isn't more than 20 minutes ever. I will say if your someone who's typically very anxious about seeing the dentist, The Waterford Dentist is good place to go for a smooth worry free visit.
