I am very grateful for the care I received from Dr. Neel Patel and am pleased to recommend him as an oral surgeon. I was referred to Dr. Patel by my dentist after a tooth extraction went seriously awry. Dr. Patel removed fragments of tooth, patched a hole into a sinus, and sewed me up. He followed up with phone calls and subsequent office visits. Thanks to his expert care no further surgery is needed. As an added bonus I really enjoyed talking with Dr. Patel.

Had wisdom tooth extraction done and they didn't tell me that local anesthetic was even an option and they charged $1,060 for an hour of anesthesia before they had even operated and I wasn't even in the room on an iv for that long wife left room and got a text I was done and out in 1:06min during which time I went to the other room got ready waited got sensors then got the iv that's supposedly anesthesia but I sat there over 20min before they came to start anything and I was awake by the time wife got their text

Dr. Guttenberg's practice used to accept insurances and filled out forms to be sent to my insurance before I had 4 implants done with him. I called last week to ask whether I could make an appointment and get my insurance pre/authorization form filled out for the cost of 2 implant to be sent for preauthorization to my dental insurance and I was told by whoever answered the phone that they wouldn't do that and that I would find out the cost at the end of the procedure. This is very unsettling and discouraging since it used to be best practice for Dr. Guttenberg and most dentist office I would go to do major restorative work. How can someone get into treatment for $$$$$ without knowing whether and what the insurance would approve to cover?

Dr Guttenberg team was fabulous. You enter the office and you are met with smiles and a since of you are in the right place. No matter what the problem maybe before you leave the office you will have a course of action. Dr Guttenberg was just excellent he takes his time thorough examination leaves nothing for chance. The team/staff fantastic.

My treatment experience at Dr. Gutenberg's office was great. However, I was very disappointed because the receptionist they had at the time majorly misled me as to what my insurance would pay (they were fired later for doing the same to other patients). This resulted in me facing a large surprise bill that I cannot afford. Although the office admitted this error six months later, they refused to adjust my bill or provide assistance as a courtesy. Patients should take care to confirm costs with their insurance, but we also trust that our medical and dental offices will give us reasonable estimates, and work with us when snafus like these pop up. I am upset that despite the fact that a previous staff member made a serious mistake, the office is not willing to rectify the situation. I will likely be looking elsewhere for a different office. I wish I could give a five-star review, as Dr. Gutenberg did a good job with my wisdom tooth extraction. He has a good sense of humor and his office staff are patient and kind. However, I advise against coming here. If you must, do not trust anything the receptionist tells you.

I was referred to Dr. Guttenberg's office by Dunn Dental Group for my wisdom teeth removal. Though the surgery itself went well, I felt like I was tricked into paying an exorbitantly high price for a simple procedure: I paid $1,600 for two wisdom teeth to be removed, with local anesthesia. I was never informed about the price of the operation in advance. After being seated in the dental chair, given antibiotics, and told that surgery would begin in a few minutes, an employee from the business department came in and confronted me with the bill, insisting that I pay then and there. Since I was already seated (almost lying down), she "kindly" got my bag for me so that I could give her my credit card. I asked her if she had my insurance information, which I had already submitted. She said she wasn't aware of that. I insisted that she call the insurance company to ask how much the procedure would cost me, but she said it was too late and that I had to pay now. It felt like I was being pressured into paying for quite an expensive operation. Overall, it has been the worst medical procedure I have ever had in the United States. I highly discourage anybody from using Dr. Guttenberg's services unless you are ready to pay that much with no prior notice.

Dr. Guttenberg was amazing. I had never had any major surgery prior to having 4 wisdom teeth and 1 molar removed (not to mention I'm a bit of an anti-dentite), and I felt extremely at ease. The staff are unbelievably friendly and knowledgable, I never once felt rushed, and I had a very clear understanding of what was about to happen. As far as surgeries go, I sincerely hope that all of my future experiences are this lovely.

I had the most incredible experience with this office. You never want to go to an oral surgeon and the staff understands that completely. I am happy to say that because of them I will hopefully never need them again! I called the office on a Monday and asked if I could be seen that day for an emergency appointment to have my wisdom teeth removed. The front desk got me in immediately and had me ready to go within a few hours. When I came into the office, it is friendly and welcoming and the two individuals at the front desk are so sweet and understanding that you are in pain usually and want to feel better as soon as possible. Once I was being seen, Dr. Guttenberg and his team were professional, quick and friendly. Dr. Guttenberg is knowledgeable and sweet and always has a bowtie which makes everything better. They explained everything that was going to happen, step by step, listened to my concerns and joked and laughed with me to ease my anxiety of going under anesthesia. Once I came out of the fog, which wasn't much longer, the procedure only took about 20 minutes I believe, the staff made sure I was doing well, helped me out and about and made sure my post-op directions were in the hands of someone who had a clear head. I just went back for my post-op appointment and they remembered me and were so sweet and incredible about my recovery. I think I am recovering so well because Dr. Guttenberg did such an incredible job! I would recommend him and his team any day of the week. For such a stressful situation they made everything easier.

I had a flawless experience with Dr. Guttenberg and his team. Appointments were easy to make. Everyone from the receptionists, the support nurses and Dr. G were extremely patient answering my questions. Most importantly, the extraction of my four wisdom teeth was such an easier process then imagined. I had hardly any pain or swelling while heeling and know it was due to the doctors very careful work. I will be back with any future oral surgery needs!

The doctor and his entire office were wonderful. One of the best medical offices I've been to of any kind. I had my two wisdom teeth (only had two) removed, one was impacted and the other normal, and healed very fast and well despite the more complicated nature of the impacted tooth. Everyone was friendly and professional - they made me and my wife feel like I was the only patient at the office while I was there. I cannot recommend Dr Guttenberg and his team more highly.
