Jon Moles, DDS, is a skilled orthodontist with more than 30 years of experience serving patients from all over the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area. He treats men, women, and children of all ages with compassionate care from the welcoming office of The Village Orthodontist in Frederick and Thurmont, Maryland.

Dr. Moles received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of New Mexico before obtaining his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. As a commissioned officer in the United States Navy, he furthered his dental education by completing an orthodontic residency at Fort George G. Meade. Despite retiring after over two decades of serving the oral health needs of sailors, marines, and their families around the world, he continues to lecture and consult the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, Maryland.

Now, as a practicing professional catering to the residents of Frederick County and beyond, Dr. Moles is the leading orthodontist in the area, particularly when it comes to straightening smiles. He offers a variety of innovative techniques to enhance crooked or otherwise flawed smiles, including SureSmile, Propel and Invisalign.

A leader in his community, Dr. Moles is the former president of the Frederick County Dental Society and former president of the Urbana Middle School PTA. More recently, Dr. Moles has held leadership positions at the Maryland State Dental Association and is very active with the Southern Frederick County Rotarians community projects.

Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. You can often find him volunteering at community events and helping local youths become future leaders with the Interact club. He also loves to play golf and has a dream of finishing his hot rod 54 Chevy pick-up one of these days.

Dr. Moles is supported by a team of highly qualified professionals who are committed to providing each patient with compassionate and individualized care. In addition to being friendly and helpful, our technicians are well trained and experienced in chair side clinical assisting, infection control and digital radiographic procedures. All of our technicians are Certified Orthodontic Assistants and Certified Dental Radiological Technicians licensed in the state of Maryland. To stay abreast of the latest advancements in orthodontics, we all attend numerous continuing education courses, both local and sponsored through the American Association of Orthodontists.
