Originally from eastern Kentucky, Dr. Shana Hughes moved to the area after meeting and marrying her husband, Jason, in 2004. The couple met while showing horses. Two things have remained the same for Dr. Hughes all these years later- Jason and horses. The couple share a son, Otis & a pink farmhouse.
In 2011, she graduated from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Soon after, she opened her own practice, founding The Tooth Booth in 2012. Dr. Hughes continued her education with the completion of a mini-residency in Implantology in 2017 at the University of Kentucky, and has completed countless hours of continued education in facial aesthetics (starting in 2013) by training with some of the best injectors from all over the world. Since 2018, she has been training other medical professionals in facial aesthetics being named 2021 Instructor of the Year for facial aesthetics (Botox + fillers) by her peers.
Coffee and Chick-fil-A diet lemonade are the only things that keep her 'hydrated,' and you can always find a jar of Nutella in her locker. Dr. Hughes enjoys taking trips to her favorite city (NYC), roller skating, a good bingo hall, long baths, true crime podcasts, and classic rock. Fun fact: she even missed her senior prom to see The Rolling Stones on their 40 Licks tour!
Kara grew up in Greensburg, KY. She graduated from Western Kentucky University's dental hygiene program in 2017. She has practiced at The Tooth Booth since 2019. Kara is committed to helping patients maintain their oral health and preventing the dental office from being a high anxiety experience. When Kara is not working with our patients at The Tooth Booth, you can find her snuggled up with her dogs (Tux and Lambeau), and in true @darylanndenner fashion, drinking a #LDC (large diet coke).
Our hygienist, Hilary, grew up in Elkton, KY. She has been practicing dental hygiene since July 2018. An alumni of the 2018 graduating class at Western Kentucky University. Hilary has a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Dental Hygiene.
Samantha is a familiar face at The Tooth Booth as she has been an essential team member since 2013. Samantha received her expanded duties dental assistant certification from the University of Louisville, and trained alongside Dr. Hughes during her implant residency at the University of Kentucky. Samantha loves being a part of every patient experience, especially complete smile makeovers and oral surgery.
Madison has been in the aesthetic industry for many years, graduating from Empire Cosmetology School in 2013. Madison is passionate about skincare and devoted to continuing education and training with the latest advancements in her field. While practicing for nearly 10 years, she loves to help patients achieve their skincare goals to ensure they feel more comfortable and confident.
'I 'm here to help patients figure out the best approach to their specific needs by teaching the use of medical grade skincare, as well as facial services including the latest in microneedling and CO2 lasers.'
Gabriele was born in Amberg, Germany. She came to the United States in 1984. Gabriele worked in a hospitality setting as hotel manager for 10 years, then as an electronic monitoring supervisor for 15 years. She has since found a new home at the front office of The Tooth Booth.
Originally from Georgia, Dianna and her family have called the Bluegrass sate home for over a decade. In 2019, this stay-at-home mom of three was ready for a new adventure and turns out the leopard carpet here was just what she was looking for! When not greeting patients you can find Dianna poolside cheering on her favorite swimmers or in the kitchen whipping up a batch of her famous red velvet cupcakes!
Ramona brings 20+ years of management, insurance, and accounting experience to The Tooth Booth, along with a lifetime of managing Dr. Hughes (it's funny because she's her mom). Ramona and her husband (Kevin) live in Columbia, KY. She enjoys riding and showing her beautiful horses, spending time with her family, cooking out, and riding on the back of Kevin's motorcycle. She's probably watched every episode of Snapped ever made. True crime seems to be a theme here.
Jason stays busy completing our office honey-do list that's ran by 12 women which honestly doesn't leave time for much else. In addition to being the office-wide handyman, he chauffeurs our team transport bus to conferences, continuing education, and team field trips. Jason is responsible for transport of our Training Academy guests as well. In his spare time, Jason trains and cares for the family's horses, manages the pink farmhouse, and is responsible for handling Dr. Hughes (a big job).
Annie, an Aussiedoodle, is the 'dog-tor' for the office! She completed her rigorous training to be a therapy dog in a medical setting! This lovely lady is no joke in the snuggle department. She loves meeting new people and aiding in a stress free experience for our patients. When Annie isn 't on the clock, she lives with Dr. Hughes, Jason, and Otis. She enjoys naps, her favorite stuffed animal, Bun Bun, and adding to her extensive bandanna collection.

I paid for my completed partial dentures but I was not allowed to take them because everyone was at lunch. There was no appointment necessary to simply pick up my partial. I was told to wait an hour so someone could hand them to me. The customer service was terrible. I am now standing here waiting for the employees to finish their lunch.

I want to correct the review I wrote. I was super happy and very pleased with the work Dr. Hughes and Dr. Coleman has done on me. While I was upset about an incident that had taken place, I should have ask to speak to the office manager or Dr. Hughes herself before I wrote my review. I do want to clear up that the services I received were absolute great and the treatment by Dr. Hughes, Dr. Coleman and their staff while I was in office was absolutely wonderful! I was so in love with and thrilled about my face and my lips!! I do not want to put my face or lips in anyone else's hands. I would have loved to return here and been able to explain the issue that caused some hurt. Otherwise, I have recommended my family, friends & co-workers to The Tooth Booth.

I have been coming to see Dr. Hughes since Jan 2021 and I know that doesn't seem like a long time but I followed @thetoothbooth for over a year before making an appt, I live about 2 hours away. Hands down, best decision I ever made. I initially came for botox but knew I wanted to address my chin(or lack thereof) issue. Dr. Hughes developed a full face comprehensive plan and we(she) got to work. She was 100% open and honest about the procedures/cost of procedures and answered every question I had. Fast forward 7 months and I have the chin/jawline of my dreams. I had seen her work and always admired it but when it's your face and it's what you've always dreamed of, it's different. Her skill and expertise blew my expectations out of the water. I cried the happiest tears. She's the Queen injector in my book and don't get me started on how awesome of a person she is outside of dentistry/aesthetics. I will never trust my face to anyone else.

Dr. Hughes and her team are so SO good at what they do and have been so welcoming and friendly from the moment I walked in! Just from doing my clear correct with them and watching via social media I can see how educated they are on what they do & that they always have their patients best interest at heart and in mind! I truly believe that. I am also a nurse and from a nurses point of view just from following The Tooth Booth on their social media, I feel like I learn so much from just keeping up with them! A great choice for dental or injection work in my opinion!

My visits to The Tooth Booth have been nothing short of excellent! I've had cleanings, a wisdom tooth pulled, and a crown for a tooth fracture (who knew there was such a thing!). I also had some botox to relax my jaw and relieve my clenching and grinding. All the staff have been pleasant, kind, and professional! I look forward to my visits and highly recommend them to all my friends and family!

As a former dental hygienist, it is important to me where I get my dental work performed at. The Tooth Booth is by far the best dental practice I have been to! Dr. Hughes will talk to you like you have been best friends forever! I have never seen Sam without a smile on her face! The hygienists are friendly and knowledgeable. Being in the medical field, I know it's not just about the one with MD/DMD as initials. It takes a team for a medical office to run smoothly! Dr. Hughes has that with her team at The Tooth Booth!

I have been coming to the Tooth Booth since September 2020. I had followed Dr. Hughes on IG for a while and was very impressed with her aesthetic before/afters, particularly with her great attention to detail, knowledge, and her skill! I decided to come in for a full aesthetic consult, in which a comprehensive & personalized treatment plan was made for me. Fast forward a year later, the best decision I ever made!! Dr. Hughes and staff are very welcoming, take the time to explain and answer any questions I have, and always make me feel so comfortable...not to mention the coolest professional office I've ever been in! Dr. Hughes even goes the extra step and checks in personally after a procedure, and makes herself available after hours if needed. I have also had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Coleman, Abbi, and Madi during my aesthetic appointments, and they are all so friendly and helpful! Thank you Dr. Hughes and all the girls at the Tooth Booth for all you have done for me! I truly would not consider going anywhere else.
