Providing world-class dentistry and improving my patients dental function, overall health, and aesthetics is extremely fulfilling, both on a personal and a professional level. Even after practicing dentistry for 33 years, each day continues to be unique because each case and every patient is unique. Practicing in the heart of the melting pot of the world, Ive met and have come to know many people from all corners of the globe and have had cultural exchanges from a unique cross section of New Yorkers, all of whom enrich me personally.
I completed my undergraduate education at Brandeis University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology in 1978. I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1981 from New York University College of Dentistry. While my formal education is complete, my thirst for knowledge is never ending. I attend numerous forms of continuing education every year and I am always incorporating new and improved advanced dental equipment, materials and techniques to improve patient care and satisfaction.
I work in association with Donated Dental Services, a program for disadvantaged people with dental needs that have neither the financial resources nor public assistance for their dental care. The smiles and grateful responses I receive from these patients are the warmest and most sincere of all, sometimes even accompanied by tears of joy upon completion of their care. These add to some of my fondest memories from my years of practice.
While I may be passionate about my Green Bay Packers and, over the past 33 years of establishing Herald Square Dental & The Denture Center as one of New York Citys premier dental offices, my practice is of great importance to me however, the reality is that I am most passionate about my family. Both my wife, Joan and myself come from very close families and we are the proud parents of three grown young men, James, Joshua, and Lucas, and our wonderful dog, Riggs. Although little league baseball, recreation league basketball, Jazz band, and forensics has faded into spirited debates about politics and our beloved NY Mets, it is always with love, warmth, and passion. My hobbies of hiking and traveling would be empty if I were not sharing those with the one I am most passionate about, my wife Joanie!

Everyone at the smilest is great the place is very clean and their service is unmatched. I waited no longer than 5 minutes before they called me in the back. The dentist was very informative on everything he was doing. I can't say enough amazing things about this place they really are great.

Came into The Smilist today and was immediately brought in , not like other health care places where when you are on time you still have to wait , other than that i was greeted by my hygienist (colton) and he took real good care of me , was very knowledgeable and skilled! Loved the experience i had to today , definitely will be returning

The Smilist Dental of Huntington, is hands down one of the best dentist offices I've been to. The staff are all smiles and friendly and my hygienist was great talked and laughed the whole time during my cleaning. Great vibes

Smilist staff make you feel welcome and are highly personable. I highly recommend a visit to this dental practice. During the pandemic We all stayed away from visiting surgeries but our dental health is essential for healthy living. Smilist staff have taken a hands off approach to encourage me to come back and in doing so have made me feel welcome. Do not delay your appointment and book a check up today. I visited them today and I am so glad I did.

One of the most unorganized places I've attempted to go to in a long time. My original appointment was today 9/6/22 @ 11am. I called to say I was running 30 minutes late. They said come at 3 pm. 10 minutes later the office called me back and said the dentist will see me after his 11:30 appointment. I informed them I will be there before 12pm. Because I turned to head home after our first conversation. Theu said that was fine. So I drove an hour to Huntington. At 11:40 I was 2 mins away. When the office called and told me the doctor can no longer see me. In which I informed the rude lady on the line I'm in excruciating pain I just drove an hour to get here. She said I cannot seethe doctor until 3pm. These people are extremely rude and unorganized. And quiet frankly they don't care. I could of went to another place or found help this hole time. But Instead they preferred to play with my time. And made me suffer even longer. Maybe it's funny to her. That someone is In pain and I have to drive in this horrible weather .

Hidden Gem Honestly! Both receptionist were very nice and respectful, my hygienist Colton was a breath of fresh air omg he was so sweet and kind and caring and explained so much to me that I didn't know, his gf is a lucky woman!! Dr.G was great he apologized that I ended up waiting even though I came early!! He was very kind got straight to it, was in and out but also told me what I need to do and left me in the hands of Colton who was great at thoroughly explaining all my stupid questions and showing me new ways to brush! I will be coming back asap!!

This is a gem of a top notch doctor with all the modern technology complimenting his expertise ....... The complicated procedure was seamless and the perfect experience I wanted for my child ....... The doctor is kind and compassionate and really listens and quiets any disquieting thoughts like dental jitters ....... Wonderful staff of sweet ones ...... Everyone at The Smilest in Huntington is very professional. Dr. G is great dentist, he did a excellent job on my teeth. Marie the receptionist is always very helpful and polite when you call. Clayton was my dental hygienist. He was very thorough and did a great job. I would highly recommend The Smilest of Huntington.
