Welcome to The Smile Zone! For over 25 years, Dr. Un Lee-McDaniel and Dr. Joseph Godinez have provided patients of all ages with quality care in a comfortable and welcoming environment. When you visit our practice, our team will take the time to help you feel right at home and will work with you to create individualized treatment plans that meet your needs. We are always working to improve our treatment techniques, instruments and knowledge, so you can rest assured that you are receiving the highest possible quality of care each time you visit us.
Dr. Lee-McDaniel has been in the medical and dental fields all her life. Her father was a medical doctor, and her mother was a dentist. Her mothers work always fascinated Dr. Lee-McDaniel. She followed in her mothers footsteps and decided to become a dentist. Dr. Lee-McDaniel graduated from Loma Linda University in 1996, then opened up her own office here in Palm Springs shortly after graduating. Although Dr. Lee-McDaniel loves cosmetic dentistry, she has expanded practice by continuing education by attending Temple University and the Misch International Implant Institute in Michigan, and she attends Progressive Orthodontics in California. In order to provide the best dental care for her patients, she constantly is continuing her education to keep abreast with the latest and most current technology available in dentistry.
After 27 years in private practice, I feel, as a doctor, it is important for one to connect with their patients and to understand their dental needs and concerns along with developing a relationship of honesty and trust.
I want to focus more on patient care and deal less with the business aspect of dentistry. Therefore, I decided to close my office and merge my practice with The Smile Zone and Dr. Lee-McDaniel. We share the same philosophy and strive to provide the best patient care possible.
Aside from dentistry, I have a passion for animals and for the outdoors; I can often be found hiking or biking the trails around the Coachella Valley and enjoying the beauty of the desert that surrounds us.

I recently had my 6 month check-up at Smile Zone, and as usual I enjoyed going. How many people can admit they like going to the dentist? I can. It was my hygienist's first day but you would never know it. She was so welcoming, professional and competent. Afterward my cleaning I saw Dr. Lee McDaniel. My time with her is never rushed. She is relaxed and conversational. I highly recommend Smile Zone.

In the past I have received so many different procedures from braces to numerous root canals etc. I love this place!!! I cannot express how wonderful everyone is, including the best dentist in the world. I look forward to coming there each appointment, that's how great they are. My teeth were horrible when I first arrived there. Now I can smile and that is everything to me. This is the best place to go.

Dr. Lee is the nicest doctor. Diego the assistant did my temporary crown and it came out so great. He is one of the best assistant. Diana the front receptionist is every welcoming and friendly.

It was easy to get scheduled. My teeth cleaning and exam was pleasant. I told Dr. Un-Lee that my lower teeth are very sensitive and my last dentist usually put topical. She obliged and everything went well. I will definitely go back to her.

I absolutely love this place for my dental work!! Doctor Un T. Lee is not only gentle but caring, and very good at what she does! I've now had four implants from her. She's very professional. I highly recommend the Smile zone to anybody looking for quality dental work.

I have been going to Dr Lee for years. I trust her completely. She will make recommendations for what needs to be done but never pressure's you to do it. She leaves it up to you.

Had a great experience with Smilezone and especially Dr Lee. The team was able to get me in the same day for a cleaning appointment. Didn't have to wait long when I arrived for my appointment, and Dr Lee was very helpful while doing the cleaning. I highly recommend the Smilezone!
