Dr. Crystal Ellis is a native of The Bronx, NY. She became a resident of the Washington DC metro area in 1998 when she decided to attend Howard University Undergraduate Program to study biology and chemistry. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree in 2002, her love ofresearch took her abroad to the University of Ghana in Legon, Ghana to do research at theNoguchi Memorial Institute for Medical research.
In 2003 Dr. Ellis was accepted into Howard University College of Dentistry where she later received her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2007. After receiving her degreeshe returned to her hometown of Bronx, NY to further her education and training at The Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center General Practice Residency Program. Dr. Ellis spent a year in residency providing comprehensive treatment to a diverse patient population in areas of dentistry including Oral Surgery, Pedaitric Dentistry, Endodontics (root canals), Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics (Crowns, Bridges, and dentures) Periodontics (gum health), Implant restoration, and Cosmetic dentistry.
Following the completion of her residencyDr. Ellisreturned to the Washington DC metro area, a city she grew to love, and continued her passiongiving people healthy, beautiful smiles. In July 2012 Dr. Crystal Ellisestablished The Smile Suite so that she could give her patients a pleasant dental experience in a relaxing and aesthetic environment . Dr. Ellis is a very compassionate and gentle dentist and she takes pride in providing her surrounding community with quality,affordable dental care.She is a member of the American Dental Association, Maryland State Dental Association, and Southern Maryland Dental Society.Her training includes Invisalign, Six Month Smiles Cosmetic braces, Lumineers, Snap on Smile, and Hiossen dental implant placement.
