Dr. Russo was the first dentist in Baton Rouge to open a Dental Spa in 2004. At the Smile Spa they incorporate complementary spa amenities at every visit for all the patients. The Goal is to make your dental experience more comfortable and enjoyable than you ever thought possible. In 2017 Dr Russo did it again! Something unprecedented for this area, becoming the FIRST to add a licensed laser aesthetician to the practice to enhance the beautiful smiles she creates with beautiful skin.
As you can see from this picture, Dr. Russo is very close to her family. Her Mom, Patsy, began working at The Smile Spa, after she retired from the Pointe Coupee School board. She still comes in sporadically to help out when she is not playing with all her grandchildren. Her Father is a retired Pharmacist that still does some relief work. Both parents along with her and her two siblings are very loving, christian, and hard working,
Dr Russos brother, Michael, works in the Baton Rouge City Police Department, Motors Division. As of January 2020 our family is so happy to have the baby sister, Dr. Alexis Russo, and her boys back in Baton Rouge practicing with her sister at the Smile Spa. Dr. Russo has 4 nephews that she adores, Harlen, Hudson, Enzo and Eli.
When she is not making peoples smiles fabulous, Dr Russo along with her husband, Marcus, and their two sons, Spencer and Scout, enjoy spending time on their boat and at the beach. They also love snow skiing and traveling to see new places and new adventures. She also enjoys returning to her first LOVE, Dance, and performing in many local events and performances for fundraisers and just for fun. She is pictured above as the 2018 Judges Choice Dance Winner for Dancing for a Cause. The Fundraiser was to benefit The Arc of Ascension.

First time visit, I went for tooth pain. I had two cracked teeth, leaving the next day for vacation. They fit me in the same day for a crown. Amazing bed side manner. Their entire staff was amazing and friendly and put up with my dental anxiety. Would highly recommend.

The Smile Spa has made me a new man. I was ashamed of my smile due to missing and damaged teeth. Their staff was so friendly in walking me through what was needed to bring my smile back. I'm just 1 month in and my smile has come out of hiding. I now have the confidence to show my smile with teeth! If you are considering fixing your your smile, I can assure you this the best place on the planet. I'm still in awe of the changed and look forward to my next appointment. Don't sit back and wish things were differnt, take action and go for a consultation. It's the best health decision I've ever made.

I was really surprised at the good treatment I received. Everyone was super nice and the waiting room an dental area for very clean and orderly. I think this is the best dental experience I've had in my 70 years. I don't give compliments unless they're warranted and the staff and doctors are justly deserving of this good report. Fred

Terrible experience. I originally went in for a chipped tooth due to grinding. She wanted to wait months to fix it. I kept telling her it would get worse, and she said it wouldn't along with a crown that popped off. The chipped tooth started to get worse, and when she worked on the tooth next to it, she actually chipped off more. I was not in pain when I went to her. Now I cannot eat or barley talk. She told me I needed Invisilign. Wanted to wait until that was over with to do what I originally came in for. She told me I needed my back molar removed. Went in for an extraction, while she was training five different people without my consent, and did not numb me correctly. I felt everything She told me that I was costing HER money for all the numbing shots she failed to administer correctly. The chipped tooth she said she could no longer work on because she decided to wait. DO NOT GO TO HER.

I am go to this place to make my dream crown on very damaged tooth. I was very excited and happy to get new crown and completely trusted doctor Aimee Russo. They did job on my tooth and make crown by Cerec technology in office. Crown was not fit the bite and doctor Aimee without asking and telling me any word decide to grind my other healthy tooth on upper side in front . I was shocked by this, but she tell me it's ok and she doing it EVERY day, and enamel is 4 millimeters and nothing happen. So she grind almost half size of my HEALTHY tooth and and even leave it short and sharp. Even cutting half of my other tooth was not enough , she anyway decide to do another crown- small and shallow. So I get my crown and finally go home after 5- 6 hours I spend there instead of 2 hours like they tell you. New crown was small but ok. But my other tooth - healthy tooth in front that she is grind start to bothered me and hurts me every day. So I come back to office in few weeks and doctor Aimee Russo talk with me couple minutes and agreed to make another crown for this healthy tooth that she is ruined by badly grinding. I paid 1200 dollars to restore healthy tooth that she is ruined by her job. She is made second crown in big hurry, like to make crown for person for 10-20 years to wear as much as fast as possible is her goal. She badly damaged my gums - I was in big pain for few weeks . Crown she did was huge and don't fit bite, so I come back 3-4 times to correct bite, she corrected and polished so many times so it take away all anatomy from this crown and make new crown for 1200 dollars flat . Other doctors was surprised to see this flat crown without any anatomical model. Crown was so uncomfortable so I ask her to take it off and make another one. She was very mean and refuse do it and even CANCEL my appointment to her. It's ridiculous . Doctor canceled appointment because don't want to see her patient and make her terrible job redone. So I go to another doctor and paid another 1100 dollars to redone terrible crown that she was willing to do for my tooth, that was my own natural healthy tooth before I meet doctor Aimee Russo. I have all documents and x.rays to proof it. Don't believe wonderful smile people who work there and fancy office. Be aware of doctor Aimee Russo. Please, I ask you if you choosing doctor now , avoid and be aware of Aimee Russo.

I've waited since August 2021 to leave a review for the Doctors at Smile spa. I originally went in January 2021 for teeth cleaning and X-rays and I had no pain or discomfort. I needed braces and I wanted to get any minor fillings done before I started braces. Smile spa made me aware of 12 small or old fillings and dark spots that would need to be done before my braces . Almost every filling I had done with smile spa, I've had to have them redone or more work done. I've had to have 1 tooth pulled 2 crowns and 2 root canals. I have been in major discomfort for over 6 months. In the beginning I went back in multiple times for adjusting and discomfort but were never able to solve it. I am very disappointed on how they handled their clients. I called to get a refund on a remaining balance and they mailed me a check without any contact to find out why I wanted my money back. I don't think Aimee Russo- Mounger is experienced enough and I will not be returning. I would like to receive my money back for their in house insurance I purchased at the very least. I've spent triple in dentistry trying to be able to just chew on the left side.

Where do I start! I met Dr. Alexis Russo at my Job, AT&T of Towne Center. Even as an AT&T client, Dr. Russo exuded great personality and poise, and after building rapport and finding out about her profession in dentistry; Spirit confirmed to me that The Smile Spa would be the place for all of my dental work. The Queens were just magical! I want to give a 10 to DR's Russo & Russo, Kristen on the X-rays/finance, Ashley on the Dental Hygiene, and to the ladies in the front who welcomed me with opened arms & great smiles! Today was my first appointment of many more to come, and I feel so secured that I made the right decision. I'm so excited about the outcome when the Queens are done with my smile! If you are inquiring about a Dentistry home, LOOK NO MORE! I send a huge Thank you to The Smile Spa family.
