Natives of small towns in West Virginia, we met while attending the West Virginia University School of Dentistry. Prior to dental school, we both practiced as dental hygienists; collectively, we have over 20 years experience in the dental field.
Our mission is to provide personalized comprehensive care in a calm and soothing atmosphere. Dental treatment can be complex and often specific to each individual. We believe patient education is a vital aspect of each visit so informed decisions can be made.
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Amanda moved to Raleigh four years ago and now considers this her home. Going into her tenth year in the dental hygiene field, she still loves learning new ways to help patients succeed at improving their oral health.
Amelia was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina. She completed her dental hygiene degree in 2019 at Wayne Community College. Amelia truly loves her work in dentistry and enjoys getting to know every patient individually.
I feel most accomplished when I can make people comfortable that previously had a negative memory of dentistry. It is my goal to educate them on their personal oral care needs and ensure they leave happy and on their way to a healthy smile!

In her aspirations to better connect with the people around her and expand her passions in learning, Sienna started her career in dentistry at NC Dental U to become a Dental Assistant. She is a recent graduate in September 2020 and our newest member to The Smile Shop team.
NC born and raised, Durham is home for Ashley. She started her dental career as a Dental Assistant, graduating from ACC in 2011. Over the last 3 years, Ashley has transitioned to the front desk. In 2019, Ashley joined The Smile Shop as our Treatment/Insurance Coordinator. Outside of the office, you will find Ashley with her husband, their son, and 2 dogs.
From Puerto Rico, Jomary discovered her love for dentistry a little over two years ago. As an aspiring Dental Hygienist, she enjoys teaching others about the importance of great dental health. When not in the office, she enjoys watching anime, going to amusement parks, and relaxing at the beach, which reminds her of her home island.

My gratitude to The Smile Shop's team is FAR beyond what words could ever convey. I have avoided the dentist for years. Though I recognize the importance of oral health, I stressed and neglected to go because my previous experiences had involved several costly, painful procedures that were either done incorrectly or later deemed unnecessary by other dental professionals. My dentist anxiety is SO REAL. Though I am grateful to the offices that helped me repair work poorly done, none of these offices come anywhere close to the experience I had today at The Smile Shop. A huge shout out to Ellie for beginning my appointment with a gentle spirit and attitude that significantly helped secure my initial trust in the office, to Dr. Bonasso for easing my anxieties and clearly communicating my dental plan, to Amelia for being the funniest, kindest, gentlest, most comforting dental hygienist and changing my future outlook on dentists (seriously, she's SO good at what she does!), to Ashley for kindly and patiently providing me with every detail I needed to know, to Amanda for her words of affirmation all throughout, to Dr. Dolin who seems to play a significant role in the happiness of her staff and overall positive atmosphere in the office, and to the new girl at the front desk (whose name I unfortunately did not catch) who ultimately motivated my initial decision to choose this office over others in the area. This place brings individualized service to an entirely new level. They are honest, helpful, and will cater to your every need. I'm so relieved that I no longer have to stress about maintaining my oral care!!!

Look I am afraid of dentist and when I tell you the atmosphere was pleasant as soon as I walked through the door. And the receptionist was very nice. When I went to the back after introducing herself I was confident that I was in good hands she was so good and my nerves were at ease. I just loved everything about this place doctor,, hygienist I was so happy with everything . One happy patient

Went in for a cleaning and everyone was friendly and accommodating. The hygienist was very knowledgeable and made the cleaning as painless as possible. The dentist was also friendly and explained everything perfectly. Definitely recommend if your looking for a new dentist.

Amelia and Dr. Dolin were absolutely amazing in taking care of me for my dental emergency!! The front desk staff was also amazing!! I will absolutely be going to them for now on and would highly recommend. Made me feel like family on first visit!

We followed our favorite dental hygienist Amelia to this office-- she is extremely skilled and also a joy to work with. Huge bonus to have met Dr. Spriggs who is a fantastic dentist. I appreciate that he doesn't recommend fillings unless they are necessary. We also appreciate his professionalism and great personality. The desk staff is also always helpful & kind when calling or interacting with them in-person. Highly recommend this team!!!

Dr Spriggs is highly disrespectful and unprofessional. My wife was promised a dental filling procedure that later was denied. He simply raised his hands and said "we will not be able to serve you. you need to find a different doctor." For five years we kept on going there for dental cleaning for my entire family. He was all great because it was easy job easy money. When we asked why the filling service is denied he says your jaw has shifted. Jaw shifted in a few days and that's too for dental filling??? When we expressed our feelings to him over phone he was all "sorries and apologies" but then he had the audacity to send a letter stating that he is terminating services. NO apologies for his and his staff's rude and disrespectful behavior in the written letter. All his hypocritical sorries from phone conversation went away from the letter. On top he is saying he is terminating his services ... when in reality I told him that with this low level of professionalism I will never ever step in his business. I repent... why did I keep on going to him for over five years without validating his professionalism? I would never recommend him to anyone.
