Compassionate, meticulous and highly skilled are only a few words that describe Dr. Stanley Tang. Dedicated to oral health education, Dr. Tang spends extra time and energy to ensure that his patients understand their choices for dental treatment. He wants them to have the knowledge and tools to make choices that are best suited for them. By empowering his patients with this decision-making about their treatment, patients appreciate and have come to trust him..
Dr. Stanley Tang graduated with distinction from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. He elected to pursue advanced dental education at Hennepin County Medical Center with an emphasis on treating medically compromised patients.
One of his peers has described him as having 'the combination of being very knowledgeable, highly skilled technically and also very careful and conscientious.' While in dental school he received several honors: Allan Bluhm Award for Leadership and Scholarship, Irwin Epstein Award for Excellence in Endodontics, and Outstanding Table Clinic at the Minnesota Dental Convention. His commitment to dentistry was exemplified when he returned to the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry as an assistant professor. His past experience includes working as a part time faculty member teaching at Pierce College Dental Hygiene Program in Lakewood, WA.
Dr. Tangs passion for learning and growth is still evident today. He has attended nationally recognized dental education centers - The Dawson Center for the Advancement of Dentistry and Dr. Mark Pipers TMJ Management course. His studies include neuromuscular therapy and cosmetic smile design at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute of Advanced Dental Studies (LVI Global). Dr. Tang is also well versed in the treatment of oral facial pain and the management of TMJ/TMD. His most recent studies include implant surgery at the California Implant Institute and the completion of the Implant Fellowship Program through NYU/dental XP.
His current dental interests and exceptional skills lie in cosmetic and esthetic dentistry, same day crowns with CEREC, dental photography, TMJ disorders, occlusion management and neuromuscular dentistry.
Dr. Tang values the importance of service and leadership. He has volunteered at the Pine Medical Community Health Fair and the King County Library System. Furthermore he has provided free dental services in the Give Kids a Smile Program (GKAS), Medical Teams International Mobile Dental Clinic and the Remote Area Medical Volunteer Corps.

With all the many advances that dentistry has gone through and with careful artistic planning, I hope to be part of making The Smile Institute a place that you can smile about. Outside of work, I enjoy taking walks, badminton, cooking and yoga. I love spending time with my children because I believe that they are our future.
Hello, my name is Sarah. I received my dental education from Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center. I enjoy working with Dr. Tang and making your experience at The Smile Institute the best possible. My goal for the future is to become a dental hygienist and I am taking steps to make that happen. My first step is to complete my AAS at Everett Community College. I find dentistry fulfilling and seek to help patients with their dental needs. My hobbies consist of ballroom dancing, singing, riding horses, and playing with my dog.
Hello, Id like to introduce myself. My name is Donita. I am a Registered Dental Assistant with the State of Washington as well as a Certified Dental Assistant with the Dental Assistant National Board. I have made a great career of dental assisting with over 30 years of experience.
I feel extremely fortunate to be a part of the team at The Smile Institute. It is important to me personally, to hold to the highest of standards in the dental field which is what this dental office embodies. This includes taking the best care of our patients possible, caring for my fellow teammates, and keeping up to date with the newest and best technologies available in the dental field. Continuing education is also a critical part of holding to the highest standards in which I am happy and proud to participate.
Monroe is where I call home and I am fortunate to be able to work in the same town in which I live. Quality of life is important to me, and by not having a long commute, I am a happier person. When Im not at work, my favorite place to be is home. A creek runs through my back yard, where deer are free to roam and eat my roses. Joking aside, I do love gardening as well. My other hobbies include watercolor painting and taking care of my dog and cat with the possibility of chickens in the near future.
My name is Jillian and I am a dental insurance coordinator. My mother and older sister are both in the dental field which is how I was first introduced to the dental industry. I love being part of an amazing team to provide our patients with the best care we can give! I enjoy helping patients find financial solutions so they can feel comfortble in investing in their dental health and helping them understand their dental insurance coverages.
My favorite part about working in the dental field is seeing people get their confidence and smile back and how their face lights up when they receive the care they wanted. When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my lovely daughter and taking her on walks or swimming in our pool. Family is very important to me so most of my free time involves enjoying it with loved ones. My favorite quote is Let your smile change the world, but dont let the world change your smile I look forward to meeting you all!

My 79 year old teeth are a complex maze of implants and crowns. On Labor Day weekend I contacted Dr Tang and he met with me on Labor Day to find a fractured tooth between two implants, however he indicated I could go on a planned vacation and come back in 2 weeks for extraction, which also happened to be not a regular open day, but an administrative day for the office. I have no idea how he did it, but the tooth is now pulled and prepped for another implant. There was no pain during the deadening, or the extraction, and no swelling, bleeding, discomfort or pain afterwards. The entire process and possible alternatives were discussed in detail as well as his consultation with other experts in the field, as there were alternative methods of a long-term solution.

Dr Tang, along with the entire staff are AMAZING , so kind. I have visited different dental offices and all I can say is Dr Tang does an amazing job , I always leave the office happy!!

Dr. Tang is the best dentist I've been to yet! He walked me through the entire procedure and was super kind and professional! He even squeezed me into his schedule when I needed last minute work done. Can't recommend this practice enough! Such a great experience!

This was such a wonderful pleasure. I couldn't believe Dr. Tang actually called me to try and find an appointment time that would work for me! The cleaning was great and, Bethany, the hygienist asked ME if it felt like my teeth felt clean. This office was very clean, friendly, thorough and considerate.

Dr Tang is the most thorough dentist I have ever had. He really takes the time to talk to his patients. I have a special needs son, and he was wonderful with him- patient, gentle, and got the work done- despite my son's disabilities. I will never go anywhere else for dental care for myself and my family.

Dr. Tang is always so thorough, his quality of work is much better than anywhere else I have ever been! You can tell he takes a LOT of pride in what he does! And he explains things to me in a way I can understand! He shows me, and tells me why we need to do a certain procedure and gives me a couple of options, but offers his professional opinion as to which one will have the best outcome for my overall health! He is amazing! I will not go anywhere else, and when my kids out grow their baby teeth, they will only be seeing Dr. Tang as well! His staff is equally as helpful and friendly! Going there is always a very pleasant experience! Even when you have to get a filling!! I recommend The smile institute to everyone I know! :)
