Our Vatech Green CT 2 is a multi-functional digital x-ray imaging system that is able to perform CBCT (cone-beam computed tomography) and 3D scans, as well as panoramic x-rays, all with low levels of radiation. This enhanced imaging technology allows us to accurately plan and place dental implants, complex root canals, evaluate airways, diagnose TMJ, vertical fractures, and so much more!
At #thesmiledoc, we also utilize our Primescan and Medit-i500 intraoral scanners to take digital impressions of your teeth and gums, doing away with the messy, goopy, and uncomfortable putty impressions of yesteryear. These quick digital scans can be used for any and all things made at the lab, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and clear aligners.
But our technology isnt just for imaging. Dr. Reid is able to perform laser therapy for deep cleanings and oral surgery with our diode laser. Laser therapy is the best way to actually remove and kill bacteria beneath the surface of the gums. It also makes surgeries less invasive with incredible healing times, when compared to using the traditional scalpel.
Dr. Reid is giving back to single parents in Leander. Parents often neglect their own dental wellbeing, always putting their children first. This was THE BEST dentist experience I have ever had!! Everyone was so friendly and personable, I felt cared about and heard, and the dentist was honest and very thorough in his explanation of things. To top it off, the office is beautiful, clean, and they even ask what kind of music you want playing in your exam room while you are getting your cleaning! This will definitely be my permanent home for dentistry, and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist!!

My fiance and I just came to The Smile Doc, Leander, for the first time and were both extremely satisfied with our experiences. See below for details. Dr. Reid was extremely professional and polite. I appreciated him discussing issues with me and seeking logical plans of action to address my dental health. All the staff members were friendly as well. My dental hygienists, Hannah and Maggie, did an amazing job. Zero pain with the cleaning portion and quick with the x-rays. Overall it was the best dentist experience I have had in 37 years across seven states. I would highly recommend. Additional notes: the entire office is extremely clean, equipment was new and appeared top of the line, with in network insurance prices are extremely affordable, dental chair is comfortable, televisions are a nice touch, and they let you customize the music playing in your room, appointment scheduling was easy, appointment reminders were helpful without being intrusive (pre appointment text reminders).

I can not say enough great things about Dr.Reid and his staff. They are so welcoming and make you feel like you're at home. I've always hated going to the dentist until going here. My whole entire family goes here and he always looks out for us. They are honestly the BEST!!!!!

I had called different dentist to get an emergency extraction. But I kept getting referred to specialist and it made me feel like nobody wanted to help me. Luckily I was able to find The Smile Doc, I felt heard and they gave me options and I finally felt relieved. I felt welcomed from beginning to end. I will definitely be coming back for future services. 100% recommend.

I was introduced to The Smile Doc, earlier this year, and thought, okay, maybe I'll check him out, (in reluctance). I am so glad I did! State of the art equipment and a staff so welcoming, you'd think they were long lost Family! Dr. Reid was ver thorough and I wasn't treated or handled like a number. He actually expressed genuine interest in my questions concerning my personalized treatment plan and respective priorities. I definitely highly recommend him!

For most people, going to the dentist can be a stressful experience. From the moment you walk through the door, you are greeted with smiles (pun intended)! The staff always recognize me, and I feel like I am catching up with old friends. The office is absolutely beautiful, and they all do everything in their ability to make you feel comfortable, welcome, and safe. Dr. Reid is so personable and warm, yet he's straightforward with you about your dental health in a way that's completely refreshing. I had my first dental check up here today and everyone was amazing! The customer service was top notch from the second I walked in the door until I left. The dental hygienist, Hannah, who cleaned my teeth was fabulous and I can't believe how gentle the cleaning felt. And Melanie, the office coordinator, was so genuine and really seemed to care that I had all the information I needed to continue having great experiences with them in the future. I am very excited that I found this dental office since I recently moved to the area and I will definitely be recommending them to anyone who is also in the area! The office is also incredibly clean, modern, and aesthetically pleasing which makes the whole experience more calming. They also allow you to choose whatever music you would like to listen to in your pod while having your teeth cleaned. Going to the dentist used to be such an uncomfortable experience, but it isn't anymore thanks to everyone at #thesmiledoc. Incredible experience, five stars!
