Dr. Yolanda Wright-Lowry, DMD was born in Peoria, Illinois, and is a graduate of Limestone Community High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Indiana State University. She went on to the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry, where she received a Deans scholarship for her academic success and graduated with a doctorate in dental medicine.
Dr. Wright-Lowry completed her dental residency program at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, where she provided service for the underserved population, medically compromised patients, children and physically and mentally disabled patients.
Dr. Wright-Lowry is an active member of her local Peoria District Dental Society (PDDS), where she is an Illinois State Dental Society Delegate alternate and sits on the Give Kids a Smile (GKAS) committee. She is also a long-time member of the American Dental Associate (ADA). She has engaged in several continuing education seminars covering the topics of implant placement, cosmetic dentistry, and holistic dentistry.
Dr. Wright-Lowry and her husband, Ryan, have four children and reside in Peoria and are committed to serving the Peoria community through various local organizations. Dr. Wright-Lowry enjoys exercising, outdoor activities, travel and spending time with her family and friends.
Over 2000 hours of continuing-education courses, including Teeth Whitening, Porcelain Crowns, Bridges & Veneers, Mercury-Free Fillings, Porcelain Bonding, Nonsurgical Periodontal Care, Intraoral Camera, Digital Xrays, Ultrasonic Cleanings, and Implant Restorations. Our practice welcomes children of all ages.
A general dentist who has earned the designation of 'Master' of the AGD (MAGD) has completed a structured and demanding set of requirements. To attain the MAGD, your dentist must first be a Fellow in the AGD. Your dentist must then earn an additional 600 approved continuing education hours (including 400 hours of hands-on courses), while meeting minimum requirements in certain dental disciplines.

Came in today to get a new crown. Entire procedure was painless and I left feeling great! Dr Yolanda Wright- Lowry is absolutely amazing, kind & down to earth! I would highly recommend this dentist office to others!!!

I'll start by saying I really liked this office and the staff at my first appointment, although I ended up going somewhere else for insurance purposes. I initially came here due to having pain and was supposed to come back to get fillings the dentist said I needed done. After dealing with insurance, I went somewhere else about a month later (by this time I was in excruciating pain) and they told me I may need a root canal done. It was confirmed yesterday by a specialist that I needed a root canal and most likely didn't happen within the month of coming to this dentist office in April and seeing a new dentist in May . I went to get the tooth pulled today and now have to take antibiotics but I finally got a lot of pain relief . This was a filling I needed a year prior but that is completely my fault for being negligent the entire year. I'm not saying this is a terrible office, but in the end, I'm glad everything worked out the way it did and I ended up seeing a different dentist because The Smile Center did Not catch that I needed a root canal.. and I can only imagine how much worse everything would have turned out if I had only gotten a filling.. Update: Since I have left this office, staff is not as friendly as they seemed to be at my 1st appointment. And after going to different dentist, others have told me I did not need all the work The Smile Center claimed I needed. Wondering if this is another office that tries to get as much payout as they can...

I have always had a pretty big fear of the dentist office, which resulted in avoiding it all together for far too long. I shared this w/ Dr. Wright-Lowry, and she put in the extra effort to make me feel comfortable. Since the initial visit, her and her staff have continued to provide a welcoming, gentle, and thorough experience. Knowing what to expect (and having a positive experience each time), has me back into the standard schedule of care!

Dr. Wright-Lowry, and her Amazing staff took really good care of all my dental needs and beyond. Knowing that I have a fear of dental procedures Dr. Wright-Lowry and her team did an Awesome job putting my fears to ease, acknowledging my sensitivity to lights due to me having Epilepsy. I can honestly say that I am so Thankful that I have Dr. Wright-Lowry to take care of all my dental procedures for now on.

Dr. Wright and her team are excellent! She recently completed replacing my #8 tooth with an implant. I could not be more pleased! The entire staff are professional, friendly, informative, and wholly on task. I have been looking for a permanent dentist since coming to Peoria eight years ago. I am looking no further! I had an amazing experience here at Dr Boyd"s office. I am so impressed I plan on switching over to him for our family's dental care. Staff is super kind and caring. I love the privacy of the rooms vs open dental chairs with no walls at other places I've been to. Outstanding service!! I Strongly recommend this facility to everyone.

Dr. Boyd has been my dentist practically since my first baby tooth. Not only is he kind, but he and his staff also work hard to truly educate their patients on dental health. I literally come down from my now-home in Chicago twice a year just to see this staff. It's worth it to have a dental provider you can trust.
