After high school, Dr. Mejia was awarded as a National Hispanic Merit Scholar and subsequently earned a full tuition scholarship to The University of Texas at Dallas where she received her Undergraduate Degrees. She graduated in 2011 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelors of Arts in Biology. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry. During her time at Baylor, Dr. Mejia served as Co-President to the Hispanic Student Dental Association.
Dr. Mejia was born in Cali, Colombia and moved to the United States when she was 5 years old. Ironically, she learned to speak English by offering candy to fellow classmates! Ever since she moved to the states, she has been a tried and true Texan! She went to High School at Plano Senior High where she enjoyed playing the violin with the schools Orchestra and graduated in 2007.
Dr. Mejia wanted a career in the healthcare field where she could help guide her patients towards better health (health is wealth after all!) and one in which she could have an ongoing relationship with her patients, sharing major milestones with them and their families (weddings, babies, new jobs, etc!). She also wanted to do something that could be artistic. She found all of this in the dental field and enjoys helping to make beautiful, healthy teeth!
Dr. Mejia is certified in oral and laughing gas sedation as well as Invisalign. She is comfortable working with patients of all ages and loves kiddos! Dr. Mejia invites you to get involved in your oral health and feel empowered to ask questions. She is eager to provide you with quality dentistry in a comfortable environment.
She has been in dentistry for 30 years. Terri grew up on a ranch in west Texas. She graduated ASU 1994 and started her dental career right away. Her favorite cases to work on are cosmetic cases. She loves to see her patients light up when they see their new smile! She loves working with Dr. Mejia and is blessed to be part of a team that is truly making a difference, not just in patients lives but in our Plano community.
Keni has been in the dental field since 1995. She started as a general assistant in the United States Air Force then moved on to become an endodontic assistant and later an oral surgery assistant. She recived her associate of applied science degree from Tarrant County College in 2005.
Meet our newest team member Aubrey. Aubrey has been in the dental industry since 2013. She started out as a registered dental assistant where she later moved on to become a front office assistant. Aubrey will be the first face you see when you enter our office and can help you with all of your treatment, insurance and scheduling questions. When she is not at work she enjoys exercising, traveling, interior decorating and spending time with her son Daelynn.

Both of my daughters and I have been going to Dr. Mejia at The Plano Dentist for several years. We love her and her staff because they are so gentle, friendly, and professional. Throughout the pandemic, I was really impressed about the safety precautions they put in place to protect their patients and themselves. We highly suggest The Plano Dentist!

The staff here is amazing! They are helpful, attentive and make you feel so welcomed. I was also in and out pretty quickly but never felt rushed. I fully recommend this office.

I simply love this place. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The dentist and her assistants are all very welcoming and professional. I literally drive nearly 40 minutes to go to this office as it is, in my opinion, the best dentists in town. Big shout out to Jahaira (I hope I'm spelling your name right) for doing an amazing job on my teeth today. You were awesome!

This was one of the best experiences at a dentist office! Kenny was so informative about the entire process and made sure there was no discomfort during any of it! Dr. Mejia was so sweet and informative about the issues with my teeth and how to make it better! All staff were incredibly kind!

It's been a long time since I found a dentist who actually does a good job. The hygienist cleaned my teeth with perfect precision. I didn't get stabbed at all! The hygienist was very friendly and didn't ask questions while her hands were in my mouth. Both the dentist and hygienist made sure to explain everything they were doing.

I was just there to put crown back on and she noticed I had another problem and brought to my attention. I asked more about it and she was able to show me on the x-ray and went into detail on how to take care of it

Let me start by saying the staff is very nice and welcoming. I feel bad giving such a bad review, but I want to warn anyone who comes here. I went here a couple months ago for my first dental cleaning since covid. I expected to have cavities, but only a few. I was completely shocked when I was told by the dentist that I had 12 cavities. 12??? More than I've ever had in my entire life. They were saying I was going to have to spend $4,000 total to get them filled. At my old job I couldn't afford that. I saw an old review from someone who said they were skeptical about the amount of cavities this place said they had, so they got another opinion from a different dentist only to find out this place was pretty much scamming them. So I decided to do the same thing. I showed my xrays to THREE other dentists who all said I didn't have as many cavities as this place claimed I had. I have 5 which is still a lot, but nowhere near what they were saying. Shame on you guys for trying to get so much money out of people who might not even be able to afford it. And please don't call or email me about this review, and don't try and say something about being preventative or whatever. When 3 dentists tell me they disagree with you, it stops me from believing a word you're saying

The Plano Dentist isn't your typical dentist office where you drag your feet to go. Actually, Dr. Mejia is very pleasant, kind and considerate. The staff, always helpful and the hygienists always super upbeat and willing to go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I'm not a huge fan of dentists, as I'm sure most of us aren't either! Honestly, thought this has been my most positive dental experience thus far in 42 years, they put me on a plan of action due to a couple of necessary procedures...i.e: crown and fillings, explained the costs and the order in which we should proceed and have taken great care of me. I wish more Dentist offices were this considerate and helpful, maybe we wouldn't hesitate to go so much!

Being new to Plano meant finding a new dentist and one who took my Medicare plan! What a blessing to have found Dr. Mejia AND her staff. They are so friendly and caring, and each time, I feel like they take their time with me, answering questions and explaining everything thoroughly. Dr. Mejia clearly believes in the team concept as she will jump in and answer the phone if the need is there. Her skills and caring approach are top-level. I highly recommend this practice.

Definitely a great doctor with an amazing staff. Nice and welcoming, gentle and very thorough hygienist. Loved the fact that the doctor takes the extra step to take pictures of the teeth besides the panoramic and other X-rays. Being able to see my own teeth, side to side the X-ray pictures, as the doctor thoroughly pointed out the conditions of my teeth was SO REAL and easy to understand the work that needs to be done. Thank you, doctor Mejia and staff.
