Dr. Alena Larios DDS, MS, to The Orthodontic Center family. Dr. Larios, a Board Certified Orthodontist, is an undergraduate of UC Berkeley, earning her dental degree at UCLA and her Orthodontic specialty degree at UCSF.
Originally from southern California, Dr. Larios now enjoys and calls Oakland her home. She is committed to excellent patient care and results in both Invisalign and metal braces and is a part of a local study club which focuses on interdisciplinary treatment planning. Dr. Larios is actively involved in continuing education courses with an emphasis on 3D Airway Analysis and Advanced Smile Esthetics. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cycling, running, is a yogi and a self-proclaimed wine connoisseur.
Sylvia has been the office manager since 2007 and enjoys working alongside her husband Dr. Carrington. She will help you understand the complicated world of insurance companies and will assist you with any problems you may encounter along your path to a perfect smile. When not at work she enjoys spending time with family, hiking, dancing, traveling, and sharing good food.
Maria has been in the Orthodontic field for over 15 years. She genuinely enjoys assisting the patients to achieve the great smile they deserve. She is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and loves spending time with her family. In her free time, she enjoys making jewelry, reading and watching great movies.
Sarah has worked as an RDA in the orthodontic field for over 20 years and weve been fortunate that most of those years have been with The Orthodontic Center. Sarah enjoys reading and spending time with her family when not at work.

Entering the Carrington Dental office the environment is safe, clean and peaceful. The staff is professional, warm and caring. Dr. DDS. Carrington is very thorough and concise with gathering the facts of your Orthodontic concerns, while contriving a precise, clear and solid corrective Orthodontic plan for his patients. The reception staff is not as professional and organized as the previous group. And they come off as Disingenuous. I also find the general service is not what it was. I often must ask questions at the end of my appointments as opposed to having everything explained, which is expected. I like Dr. Carrington, but things have changed the worse.

Professional, friendly, and very competent staff. Orthodontist is at the top of latest technology and practices. Results are beyond expectations. Makes children feel at ease and everything is explained.

Very Bad experience.( Ironic on the bad reviews disappeared) I received service years ago while working and paying more then my monthly payment for my braces was expected of me because with my JOB benefits at that time I was able to. I was laid off in 2008 with the big lay offs so course I lost my job and benefits so I STOP going because my benefits was GONE and no solid job to afford the service with benefits. I finally got a permanent job new benefits 2022 had to get my brackets off by the same people who placed them on. Called and the office manager told me I needed to pay 6-700 dollars before being seen with no explanation in a condescending tone. Had to go through a whole claim process with my insurance and THEY had to explain to me what happened. Came to the office to get the brackets off..No one still sat down to explain to me what happened. And this is located where the parking SUCKS. The Dr is nice and professional but its to bad there's a office manager who lacks professionalism and communication skills.Thank You for getting the brackets off but do better! update: Your response was non genuine. If anyone cared,when I complained about the SERVICE and I requested to speak to someone that day,No one was WILLING to help me nor offered an opportunity to get a call back.And told me that I could NOT receive any more services. There is a MAJOR disconnect with this office and sometimes a NEW STAFF usually resolve issues like this.Do better!

Love Dr. Carrington and his staff. From the ladies at the front desk to the assistants. Very professional attitude and their appearance. Very clean office. You're taken back at the time of your appointment no extended wait times. Talk about knowledge. OMG! Doctor Carrington is amazing and it is apparent he has taken his staff under his wings because those assistants know their job. My treatment is not yet complete but I can definitely see the transformation and I am happy. I was referred to Dr. Carrington by my neice. She and her son were patients of Dr. Carrington. Both had an amazing experience and their smiles are everything. I would recommend this office and Doctor to anyone in need of orthodontic treatment. They are one of the very best in the Bay Area.

This is my second round getting braces so I guess that should say something. I have going to Dr. Carrington for a long time and I would definiately recommend his office. Always friendly, always clear. I appreciate them!!

First time getting Invisalign and would recommend this Orthodontic Center to anyone. They provide great service and also are very understanding when rescheduling appointments. My sister and dad have also went here and recommended that I go. I am glad that I did.

The Orthodontic Center has been great to work as my daughter goes through the process of straightening her teeth. Staff is constantly explaining the process and work being done when I ask additional questions. They are also really friendly and knowledgeable. I also enjoy the early morning appointments making it easier to work around school & work.
