Orthodontics is a passion thats deeply rooted in my DNA. My mother is a dentist, and she started taking me into the office when I was just two years old. For me, theres nothing more fulfilling than helping my patients attain a healthy, beautiful smile and seeing their self-confidence blossom. I love getting to know each person who sits in my chair, and I want your experience at The OrthoBee Orthodontics to be both comfortable and rewarding.
As a native of Orange County, California, I feel privileged to establish my practice, The OrthoBee Orthodontics, in Fountain Valley, next door to Huntington Beach where I grew up. Im proud to serve the residents of Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, and other communities in the Orange County area.
I graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine, where I received my bachelors degree in biology. After traveling to Spain on a Fulbright Scholarship, I continued my academic journey at the renowned Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, where I graduated with top honors with a doctorate in dental medicine. I went on to complete my postgraduate residency at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and became board certified in orthodontics.
For me, continuing education and lifelong learning help fuel my commitment to excellent patient care. Thats why I strive to stay involved in professional and academic activities. This includes instructing students at the University of Southern California School of Dentistry, as well as giving lectures at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and at local dental study clubs. I am highly involved in several national and local dental societies and have served on the board of the Orange County Dental Society and the Harvard Alumni Association.
We know that choosing an orthodontist is a very personal decision. Orthodontic treatment is a long-term, ongoing process. Knowing this, we strive to make your orthodontic treatment in our office a positive experience. We believe that the 'customer always comes first!'
Our office is technologically advanced in the field of orthodontics. We offer not only digital photographs, records and models, but also digital X-rays. Digital X-rays produce 80% less radiation that the traditional variety. Our office is nearly paperless, allowing us to provide our patients with faster and more efficient service.
There are new and exciting treatment modalities in orthodontics. In the past, orthodontists would use heavy forces to move the teeth. Today in orthodontics we utilize light forces and low friction to move teeth faster and more gently than ever before. The results are outstanding. The American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), founded in 1929, is the oldest and most prestigious specialty board in dentistry. It is the only orthodontic specialty board recognized by the American Dental Association. The ABO's goal is to elevate the standards of orthodontic practice and to protect the public against irresponsible and unqualified practitioners.
Dr. Bui proudly supports our local community by sponsoring sports teams, dance academies, anti-bullying campaigns and various charity events. She hosts the annual Halloween candy buy back event to help the local PTAs and sends care packages (which include the candy and dental care products) to our troops aboard. Dr. Bui is as passionate about helping animals as she is about people; she donates her time and money to the Orange County Humane Society.

Dr.Bui is amazing! Since the beginning of my treatment she has always been really kind, flexible, and clear on my Invisalign treatment. Dr. Bui made my ortho treatment run as smooth as possible and even during the Covid shutdowns she made sure I was getting my treatment completed while at home. It was easy to reach Dr. Bui whenever I had questions or needed to set up an appointment for tray adjustments or check ups.

I'm an ortho patient of Dr. Chi Bui. I'm currently half way into my clear aligner treatment (Spark) and I'm already thrilled by the result thus far, all thanks to the treatment and recommendation of Dr. Bui. I have moderate overbite with an implant on one of my two incisors from an accident. I went to many orthodontists to straighten my teeth but they all refused to provide me treatment because of my implant (which is fixed, so not much could be done to fix my smile). I went to Dr. Bui and she gladly accepted me as her patient. She closely followed up with me and gave me recommendations on how to improve my smile. Her assistant is also very nice and she works around my schedule for my appointments. I'm very happy with the result at this time and can't wait to see the final result!

After years of wanting straight teeth I finally decided to check into it! Dr. Bui started me on clear aligners and it's going great! I can already start to see a difference! They are not noticeable and I feel comfortable wearing them in all social situations and can sleep with them on easily! The kindness, caring and expertise shown by Dr Bui have made this an easy process!

Dr.Bui is very good at her job. She makes her patients feel comfortable and taken care of. I had some anxiety getting my braces done and she did everything to make sure I was calm and in control. My dentist complimented her on her excellent banding skills. I like how it's a one on one experience instead of having another person treat me, makes it more personal and builds a trusting relationship.

Dr. Bui takes great care of her patients. She is genuine, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. My braces came off 5 years ago and she still sees me once a year to make sure my smile is as perfect as the day she removed my braces. She keeps up with the latest technology and research so her practice is never out dated. I highly recommend her to anyone contemplating braces.

Dr. Bui was awesome! Having braces as an older adult takes a skilled and patient orthodontist. Dr. Bui worked with my dental team to insure the best outcome...and she achieved that! She is sweet and personable as well as her staff. Highly recommend her!

I had never been to an orthodontist before and am so glad I was referred to Dr. Bui! She is awesome at what she does, she makes you feel so comfortable, she's also very funny and helps you relax! She is extremely personable and would recommend her to everyone!! Dr. Bui is the BEST!!!!!!

At the very beginning of my orthodontic experience, I remember many orthodontists suggesting the use of a palate expander; my parents would have to retighten it every night. It was not a very appealing solution. Dr. Bui was one of the few to suggest anything different. Another thing that stood out about Dr. Bui was her personality. At every visit, she not only has a welcoming smile on her face, but she also remembers many of the things discussed at previous visits. I always find that appointments with Dr. Bui run smoothly and efficiently. Wait times before my appointments have always been under ten minutes, typically even less than five minutes. Overall, I have had a wonderful orthodontic experience with Dr. Bui and her staff.

Dr. Bui is seriously the best! She really cares about her patients - she goes out of her way to work with their schedule and is always making everyone feel welcomed. You are not just a number, you are treated like a guest or a family member to her and her staff. Dr. Bui also goes above and beyond to ensure that you are happy with your smile. I've been wearing my Invisalign with less than a year and I couldn't be happier with my smile and with Dr. Bui's work.

I used to go here and did the "part 1" of braces...DONT DO THE "PART ONE" IT IS A BIG SCAM ! I DID I T AND NOTHING CHANGED ! The staff are friendly, but nor the price nor the progress/outcome!
