Dr. Kingstone Shih received his BA in biological science from UC Berkeley, his DDS from UC San Francisco School of Dentistry, and his certificate of endodontics from Temple University. He is a past president of the Mid-Peninsula Dental Society, assistant clinical professor at UCSF dental school, clinical consultant with the VA Palo Alto hospital dental program, and has clinical privileges at Stanford Hospital, Lucille Packard Childrens Hospital, and El Camino Hospital. In his spare time he enjoys personal fitness, travel, and cooking.

Dr beddawi is absolutely wonderful and her clinical assistant Gladys is the bestest! My entire experience was perfect (considering I was there for emergency root canal!) I am so grateful for dr beddawi! And kassndra at the front desk is so nice and welcoming. Everyone there is simply outstanding.

I LOVE this place!! Nobody likes getting an emergency root canal, but this place of amazing people made it informative, easy, quick, and believe it or not...FUN! The fromt desk were very cheerful, and professional, and did their best to explain the details of insurance,process, etc. Thank you Kasandra! The assistants were so sweet and thoughtful! Thank you Gladys and Jennifer. The doctor (Dr. Beddawi) FANTASTIC!! She was caring, explained everything before she did it, so you felt comfortable and there were no surprises. She was quick, efficient, and funny! As I was getting my root canal, I was tearing up we were laughing so hard. I'm sure this is not the normal experience when getting a root canal, in fact, I've had 2 others..and they suck. Thank you ladies for caring and being so good at what you do. I was referred to this Dr. by my own dentist, and I'm so thankful I was. She will be the ONLY dental surgeon I go to now!!

Magnificent team! Dr Beddawi is amazing as doctor and as person. Her assistant Gladys it's very kind. I brought my mother for a root canal treatment and the attention she received was wonderful in all senses. I really recommend this place!

My first visit to Dr. Beddawi's occurred after I had an emergency procedure done at my general dentist's office. As soon as you walk to the Modern Endodontist's clinic you feel at peace. The staff immediately welcomes you with big smiles, the orchids and white Decor give off a spa like vibe, and the light entering each rooms set up a great ambience. Once you are escorted to your room, Dr. Beddawi and her assistants explain in detail what the procedure is, if any pretest/assessments will be done, and what the expected outcome and possible worst case scenarios could be. She does so in a very thorough manner that puts even the most nervous at ease. You always know what to expect. Unlike other practitioners that have seen me, Dr. Beddawi performed the procedures without an ounce of hesitation or doubt. My first experience seeing her was to correct/finish a root canal someone else had started. She immediately knew what to do and the whole process took less than half an hour, and was completely painless. My second time around I didn't even sought to see my general dentistry provider. I went straight to her. She performed several pretests to determine the cause of my tooth pain while exhaustively explaining what she was doing and her diagnosis. As soon as she identified the problem tooth, she performed the root canal. The whole process from arriving to leaving took 1 hr and 10 minutes. I felt no pain or discomfort during the procedure. She explained that given my case she had to do some additional work and my gums might feel a bit tender and provided advise and medication for the road in a personalized envelope with instructions . All the symptoms she predicted occurred, but I was prepared thanks to her and her staff's foresight. I highly recommend a visit to Dr. Beddawi. She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and ( I can't repeat this enough) she performs every step without hesitation or doubt. The later makes you feel safe when she is performing the procedures. I feel i can actually sleep (which I did) while she was doing her work. Five stars, two thumbs up, a golden star. This is the place to be for all your endodontist needs.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Yarah Beddawi at The Modern Endodontist. Dr. Beddawi was able to quickly identify that my tooth sensitivity required a root canal - something my dentist couldn't figure out. I had been dealing with sensitivity to cold in that tooth for years. I am finally pain free. Thank you so much, Dr. Beddawi!

HORRIBLE experience here. I had a failed root canal here. Yarah only gave me antibiotics. I called for an emergency visit and spent an hour and a half talking to her receptionist I was told to come in the same day at but all of a sudden the doctor refused to see me and was making me wait a WEEK. I am not going back there. Failed root canal. Horrible pain. Doctor refused to have be seen for an emergency visit. It is sad to think our family dentist referred us to her, as we will be telling him about our experience.

I was very happy...receptionist, dental assistance, and the Dr Beddawi were very kind and knowledgeable... Dr Beddawi made me feel comfortable as I was being treated... The office is beautiful and also playing low calm music to make you feel confortable.
