Every aspect of everything we do at the Medford Center for Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry is based upon our patients of all ages and stages of life. Our dental home is devoted to restoring and enhancing the natural beauty of smiles, using conservative yet state-of-the-art treatments.

Our patients and their parents deserve access to dental care with high standards of excellence, but thats also down-to-earth and personal. We want patients of all ages and needs to feel comfortable, whether theyre pediatric dental or orthodontic patients. When they need help with their smile, our team can help provide you with a comprehensive treatment plan that makes sense for you. Our office is also extremely dedicated to safety for both patients and our team. To protect our patients and ourselves, we strictly maintain sterilization and cross contamination processes using standards recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and the Center for Disease Control (CDC).

We dont simply focus on treating cavities and sending kids on their way. Were dedicated to their overall health too. Thats why we strive to provide dental health care vs. disease care. We want to prevent issues before they become problems or diseases so that your childs smile reflects how happy they are on the outside and how healthy they are on the inside.

It all starts with a comprehensive exam. We make them comfortable, yet thorough because so is the quality of our care. We take the time to assess teeth, gums, oral cancer risks, orthodontic issues, and more because we want to prevent disease and other health risks.

Dr. Eric Gheewalla earned his D.M.D. from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he went on to complete his orthodontic residency in 1993. Since then, he has been in private practice, serving the residents of Medford, Boston and Chestnut Hill. Dr. Gheewalla is a specialist in Orthodontics, a Certified Provider of Invisalign and has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston.

Dr. Gheewalla is an active member of The Medford Rotary Club, The Medford Chamber of Commerce and The Tufts University Alumni Association. He enjoys spending time with his family, biking, tennis, travel, reading and photography.

Dr. AnnaMarie DeFeo, originally from Michigan, completed both her doctorate in dentistry and her pediatric dentistry specialty training at the University of Michigan. She has a special interest in dental material science, and has obtained her Master of Science in this area from the University of Michigan.

Dr. DeFeo also works with the volunteer organization Project Stretch. She maintains staff positions at Franciscan Childrens Hospital and Massachusetts Hospital School. She is an advocate for accessibility to oral health care for children in Massachusetts. Dr. DeFeo enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband and two children.

Danijela earned a business degree in economics from the University of Novi Sad in Serbia. Shes no stranger to dentistry having worked in the field since 2005. Shes been a part of our dental family since 2015. While overseeing all of the various aspects of running a successful dental office, Danijela also works hard ensuring everyone from our team to our patients is happy when theyre in the office. She says she chose a career in dentistry because it allows her to help and work closely with people, two things she enjoys very much. Danijela has a love of numbers and analyzing reports, so being an office manager is the perfect fit for her as a career. If she wasnt working with us, Danijela says shed probably travel the world as a photographer. Our team members and patients alike love Danijela because shes friendly, reliable, trustworthy, ambitious, and compassionate. Outside of the office, Danijela enjoys spending time with her husband and baby boy. She also enjoys exploring new countries and cultures and says that reading books is the best way to relax.

Julian has been working in dentistry since 2012 and has been a valued part of our dental family since 2018. As a dental assistant, hes busy at the office preparing patients for dental work, helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures. You might also find Julian assisting the dentists in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary. When asked why he wanted to work in this field, Julian says its because he loves all things dentistry. If he wasnt helping patients in the dental field, Julian says hed probably be working in IT. Youll find that Julian is friendly, loyal, social, ambitious, and determined. When hes not busy at work, Julian likes going to the beach, spending time with family, swimming, and cycling.

Krysta is a graduate of Middlesex Community College and has been working in dentistry since 2012. Shes been a part of our team since 2015. As one of our talented dental hygienists, Krysta is responsible for all things oral hygiene including education, cleanings, and providing patients with optimal care. One of the things Krysta loves best about her job is working with children. She says dentistry was interesting as a career choice because it gives you the power to be a health care provider and help people stay healthy. As soon as you meet Krysta, youll find that shes hardworking, motivated, active, outgoing, and reliable. This mom enjoys working out, teaching spin classes, and hanging out with friends and family when shes not in the office.

Laurie is a graduate of Boston University with postgraduate training from Kaplan University. She knows a thing or two about the dental field having worked as part of it for over 20 years. Laurie has been with our office since 2013. As a treatment coordinator, some of Lauries duties include overseeing and helping out with the daily flow of the dental assistant and dental hygiene needs. She also provides valuable training. She decided on pursuing a job in dentistry when she was attending Northeast Regional Vocational and enjoyed working in the dental lab. However, Laurie says if she wasnt working in the office shed probably be a real estate agent or a life coach. Besides being a treatment coordinator, Laurie is also a certified dental assistant and certified in safe CPR administration. Laurie is always reliable, loyal, friendly, social, and persistent. When shes not helping out at the office, Laurie enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs. She also loves traveling, shopping, and checking off boxes on her bucket list.

Katherine is a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute with post-graduate training from Quality Dental in Charlestown and Joseph J. Milavec, D.M.D., M.P.H. Shes been working in dentistry since 2016. As one of our talented dental assistants, youll find Katherine stocking and sterilizing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments and tools, assisting during procedures, weekly maintenance, setting up trays for treatments, and typing up patient records. When asked what she loves most about being a dental assistant, Katherin says everything! She knew she wanted to pursue a career in dentistry after helping her mother on the weekends when she worked in a dental office. When you meet Katherine, youll find shes kind, caring, organized, responsible, and motivated. Outside of the office, she enjoys relaxing and cooking.
