Dr. Max Breazeal was born in Arkansas, and in 1960 he moved to the Memphis area. He attended The University of Memphis, graduating in 1979, then graduated from The University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1983. He is the second generation in his family to practice dentistry and has been in practice in Collierville, TN, for 35 years. Dedicated to excellence in dentistry, he is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Tennessee Dental Association (TDA), International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), and Memphis Dental Association (MDA). Dr, Breazeal feels it is important to keep up with advancements in dentistry techniques and technology, and to that end maintains an attitude of continuing education when it comes to general and cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign treatments, and placing dental implants. An experienced dentist, Dr. Breazeal utilizes tried and tested techniques with the latest in dental technology to bring his patients the best of all possible treatment options.

Dr. Amy Hill is a native of Tennessee, growing up in nearby Memphis. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Afterward, she went on to earn her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 2016, where she graduated with high honors and was a member of the Richard Doggett Dean and Marguerite Taylor Dean Honorary Odontological Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.

She decided at a very young age that she wanted to be a dentist so she could help people and has loved every minute of it. Dr. Hill enjoys learning new things in dentistry and attends many continuing education seminars. What makes dentistry special and exciting is not only learning new techniques but also the diversity of patients she is privileged to help. From her attention to detail to her insistence of providing the very best modern dentistry has to offer, Dr. Hill is committed to offering you a smile that is as healthy as it is beautiful.

Implants are a tooth replacement option that involves placing a new 'root' into the bone of your jaw. Once this titanium 'root' has fused with your bone it can be used to support a crown, bridge or denture. These implants can also be used to replace partials and other forms of dentures. The success rate for dental implants are extremely high and is due in part to the fact that root-form implants are made of a biocompatible material, titanium. Because titanium is accepted so well by the human body, it is also used for orthopedic implants, such as hip and knee replacements. Dental Implants have now become the standard for replacing older dentistry and missing teeth because they look and feel like your natural teeth and have a higher success rate than all other forms of tooth replacement. The initial cost is generally higher for an implant over other forms of tooth replacement, but the long term benefits easily outweigh the difference in additional cost. An investment in implant dentistry is an investment in overall health, appearance and well being, as it involves preserving the integrity of facial structures, as well as replacing missing teeth.

First, the gum tissue is opened and the jaw bone is tapped with a small drill and then drilled with a wider drill. The implant is inserted into place. The gum tissues are then closed and the healing phase begins. This may take anywhere from 3-6 months to ensure a strong base.
