Dr. Jonathan Silverman attended the University of Maryland at College Park where he majored in Chemistry. He received his D.D.S. degree from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1984.
He then began his pursuit of advanced dental education. He spent a full year in an Advanced General Dentistry Internship at the University of Maryland where he learned to treat more complex and advanced cases and handle more complicated dental situations.
Dr. Silverman continually attends advanced education courses to maintain and expand his knowledge and ability. Staying on the leading edge of dentistry, his level of commitment to education far exceeds the requirements set fourth by the Maryland State Board of Dental Examiners. After completing his undergraduate work at the University of Maryland in College Park, he went on to achieve his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. He then spent a year completing an advanced internship at the University of Maryland where he was able to gain greater knowledge and clinical skills.
He then began his private practice but never stopped advancing his skills. He chose to study with the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) and completed more than 500 hours of continuing education. The AGD recognized his achievement by awarding him a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
A few years later, after completing another 600 hours of education in eleven separate disciplines of dentistry, he was recognized with a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Silverman has since focused much of his education on dental implant technology due to its considerable benefit to patients.

Doctor Silverman's office staff outstanding group just an outstanding group I recommend them to any and everyonei had a craced front tooth around 18th july, i was very ipset had a trip to california planned. DR.Silverman got me in and stayed with me being a Vietnam era Veteran, that he would not charge me for visit. Thank you Dr. Silverman you are along with staff. Are Truly Second to None. HAD FOLLOW UP TODAY 29 SEPT WITH Dr.Silverman for my Invisalign has I am so very very pleased with them thanks Dr.Silverman for new and improved smile. Saw Dr.Silverman today Oct 24th 2022 he has an Assistant Shanna she was very Professional, and very knowledgeable of her Dental assignments I was very pleased with the prep work today. When I tell you doc did his thing!! Literally got 2 extractions on one day and went back the very next day for a root canal and ain't felt a thing!!!! I promise you he's the best! I do not like pain at all so if I'm saying it painless then please believe me! He did amazing! And staff made sure that I was more than comfortable during both of my procedures. I'll be back on next week for my implant, I'm nervous but I know I'll be ok because I'm in good hands.

Exceptional practice, very well run. The facility is well staffed and uses the latest in dental equipment and technology. Dr. Silverman is an expert in his field and his work is second to none. I've had work done by his associate, Dr. Parsana who's attention to detail was so impressive, I always feel I'm in excellent hands no matter who is performing your procedure. With such a friendly and welcoming staff, you would be hard pressed to find a better organization if your looking for a dental practice in the area.

I feel really comfortable with this dental office , from the time I called in to make an inquiry the operator made me feel at ease . On appointment day when I arrived at the office everyone was so nice ! Dr.Silverman answered each and every question I had and I love how he listened to all of my concerns and didn't rush me ! When I came here I was hurting, and having a lot of pain before I left that day I was feeling 100% better. All the rest of the time it's been uphill all the way. Dr. Silverman and staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and I was impressed with the thoroughness of Dr. Silverman's exam and explanation of my treatment. I overheard him in teaching mode while I was waiting and was impressed with his methods and his ability to teach and treat all at once.

I have only visited 3 different dentists in the past 5 years I've come to the US. And so far this has become the best one. Started off with Katie, she has the most gentle hands when it comes to deep cleanings. She has done my 2 deep cleanings without having me experienced awfully pain. Very professional and knowledgeable. Besides that I have a couple very bad and complicated cavities that needed to be fixed, Dr. Parsana and her assistants were very nice and did an excellent job on them. She made sure I was appropriate for the work and ensured my safety during our procedure. She is very very knowledgeable and helped me with the best solutions she could come up with. I greatly appreciate all the hard work!!

I was a former patient of Dr. Silverman's. I say former because I can no longer support a business that treats patients with such disrespect and disdain. I first went to Dr. Silverman a few years ago for Invisalign service and subsequent cleanings, which was great. However, my mother, a retiree whom I referred, had a completely opposite experience which breaks my heart, since I referred her. My mother, Francine Nickens, visited Dr Silverman's office this past June for corrective dentistry work. Her very first visit, the staff were extra friendly, informative and helpful. Fast forward maybe a few weeks, my mother realizes that the practice is out of network and therefore no longer affordable. Once my mother informed the staff, Dr Silverman and the office manager she no longer wanted to continue treatment because she couldn't afford the out of network costs, that's when all communication stopped. My mother has called the office numerous times asking for a statement of charges as well as a refund on the credit account she signed up for through Dr. Silverman's office. Patient beware - Dr. Silverman's staff will strongly encourage you to sign up for their credit card company and pre-bill all of your work to this card, however if you ask for a printout of charges, you will be ignored. We have been trying to rectify my mother's account and receive a credit for the work she did not receive, but was pre-billed for, and my mother's messages and calls go ignored, unless she agrees to continue the work she cannot afford. My mother has been paying a $300 a month bill for a breakdown of charges she never received, she has never received nor swiped this card to know what the bill is and why. I am completely disgusted with Dr. Silverman's and his staff's behavior. We have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Dr. Silverman nor his staff have responded with a statement of charges. Next, we will be filing a complaint with the Attorney General's office as well as reporting Dr. Silverman to the appropriate parties with the (Maryland) Board of Dentistry.
