Dr. Jojo Manato started his academic dental career atCentro Escolar University, Manila, Philippineswhere he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1989. He then became a Faculty member/Clinical Instructor of Oral Surgery and Prosthodontic Department. He also attended Graduate School and finished his Master's Degree at the same University. He continued his Post Graduate education by attending atKyushu University, School of Dentistry, Fukuoka, Japan where he received his Clinical Oral Surgery and Laboratory Research Certificates. During his stays in Japan, Dr. Manato received threeScholarship/Fellowship Grants:The Japanese Ministry of Education (Monbusho), JDA (Japan Dental Association)andJASCAA.Furthermore, Dr. Manato received many blessings from God Almighty, one of them, his acceptancefrom thethe University of Colorado, School of Dental Medicine where he graduated and received hisDoctor of Dental Surgery(DDS) with flying colors.
After Dr. Manato graduated from University he started practicing in the Philipines as an Oral Surgeon and General Dentist as well. He was also a visiting Oral Surgeon at the United Doctors' Medical Center (UDMC). After spending some time as a ClinicalInstructor/Faculty Memberat Centro Escolar University, he moved to Washington, DC to work for various dental practices until finally opening his own practice in Waldorf, MD in June 2012: THE MANATO FAMILY DENTISTRY, LLC.
He continues to further his knowledge in current dental technologies and procedures and volunteers his time to assist dental students in various seminars. He has also been awarded honors for showing excellence in his Continuing Education Programs. He loves to attend Continuing Education Seminars.
When he's out of the office, he spends quality time with his wife, Maribel, and his son, John Michael. John Michael likes to play Baseball. He got his Second Medals in ARCHERY. At present time, he wants to explore the field of SOCCER. His biggest dream is to play SOCCER in Madrid, Spain. He is eager to see Christiano Ronaldo or CR7.
Maribel earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine in Centro Escolar University, Manila, Philippines. She also finished her Master's Degree at the same school. She went to Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan for Post-graduate studies in Endodontics through study grants from Japan Dental Association and Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Administering the day-to-day activities of the dental office is part of her role in The Manato Family Dentistry. She likes to attend continuing education courses in practice management. She loves to take her son to sports activities.
My name is Brittany and I am currently a Registered Dental Hygienist. I have my degree is Applied Sciences, speciliazing in Dental Hygiene. I started my dental journey when I was 17 years old as an assistant. I have been working with Dr. Manato since 2012 as his assistant, before going to Dental Hygiene school and returning as his hygienist. I am very passionate about my career and I strive my best to be as gentle, but proficient and comprehensive as I possibly can when performing all dental procedures. In my spare time, I love to be outside with my two beautiful daughters.
I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I studied at the University of Maryland where I earned my Bachelor's in Dental Hygiene, and local anesthesiology. I have been in Dentistry for almost 24 years since 1998. I started as a Dental Receptionist. I love helping people, and seeing the smile on their faces. I love to spend time with my family and friends, laugh, read, and eat a variety of good food. I love to see you all at The Manato Family Dentistry.
Viana graduated from University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts in Womens Studies. She loves traveling, taking pictures, listening to music, and binge watching tv series and films. She will also do anything for her goddaughter. Viana is content to be working here at the office, learning new things, and meeting you all.
Hi everyone. I took a dental assistant course through The College of Southern Maryland and I have fell in love with dentistry ever since. On my free time I enjoy painting and watching tv series. I am looking forward to meeting everyone!

The Manato Family Dentistry has been great to me and my family's dental needs. Even during the COVID pandemic, we have the confidence that the office is prepared for us safely on every visit. The hygienist and Dr. Manato are always informative to our dental health. I would definitely recommend their dental care.

I've been going to them for three months, and they've been fantastic. I've had a cleaning and fillings and have had pleasant experiences each time. The entire staff is delightful and makes each appointment enjoyable. Would recommend to anyone.

I discovered this office in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, and couldn't be more impressed with my overall experience. The office follows CDC guidelines, staff is friendly and all areas are clean, Furthermore, Dr. Manato ensures you have a full understanding of services being performed by explaining before, during and after the procedures.

I can't say enough great things about this practice. Dr. Manato and staff are extremely nice and professional. They always try to fit you in to their schedule to accommodate you better. I've had various procedures at this facility from regular dental cleaning to chipped tooth repair, and I leave very happy with the results. I highly recommend this practice to everyone. THE VERY BEST EXPERIENCE!! I love the Manato Family Denistry! They are professional, clean, kind and well organized. I was referred to them by my brother-in law. I first took my son, and he loved them. Then I took my daughter, and she loved them. Now, I'm seeing them myself and I love them. I had an appointment today 5/17/2, my tooth has been receding from my gum-line since I was a teenager. I'm now 44years old. Yes, I've had precious dentist, but none like Manato. No one ever mentioned what I could do about my gum receding from my tooth. I've been in pain at times over the years from the sensitivity due to the exposed tooth. Very close to my nerve. Manato Denistry noticed it immediately :-)!! I arrived today to have it filled. Guys!! It looks so beautiful!! Very well done! I'm so pleased. After all these years, one trip to Manato Denistry took care of an issue I've had for over 34years. I'm so happy!! Thank you Manato Family Denistry!!

I recommend the Manato Family Dentistry to everyone. The entire office is very professional, attentive to patient needs, family-oriented, and courteous. Even during this pandemic, the office has followed CDC guidelies to ensure social distancing, temperature checks, hand sanitizing, eye/nose protection during your dental service, & wearing facial masks.

Knowing that there is a pandemic happening. I cant believe how un professional this establishment is. I came in and a front desk wasnt wearing a mask. Additionally, the staff was very rude. I just wanted to go to the bathroom during my stay and I was given attitude. Also, they had a problem with my insurance which I completely dont understand because it is one of the best. Very unfriendly. I was enticed by the amount of good reviews but my expectations were not met. Never coming here again. Save yourself the trouble. Find a different dentist!

My kids go here and we love the staff. Just moved a year ago and finding the right dentist can be a as challenge. Luckily we found Manato Family dentistry the first go around. Everyone is so friendly and the prices are affordable!
