How can a Dentist trulymeet your needswithout understanding your concerns? Without good communication Dentistry becomes a mechanical process. Communication between Doctor and Patient is everything! Your needs, expectations, and goals play a large role in the sucess of your dental care. One of the greatest causes for failure of a good Treatment Plan is lack of communication between the Doctor and Patient.

I always strive to listen to my patients so that together we develop a treatment plan that best meets your desires while still addressing all areas of concern.Your Treatment Plan is thendetermined outof our mutual decision, and therefore budgeted within your expectations.

I believe that it is best to clearly explain all of the possible benefits and potential complications of treatment so that all of your questions will be answered before we begin.I never force patients to accept treatment that they are not ready for. I believe that patients have rights when properly informed to decide their own course of action.

I also will notdiscourage a patient from realising their Cosmetic Dental dreams despite the difficulty of the case, but I will be honest in explaining the limits of today's available technology. I will make every effort possible to give my patients the results that they want. I will endeavor to give you the very best quality and value for your money. I make this promise whetheryou are asking forthe Mecedes-Benz of Dentistry, or only a simplefix thatsafely stabilizes a problem in a cost effective manner.

On August 29th, 2003 Wayne J. Yee completed the Continuum Level II course of study at The Pankey Institute for Advance Dental Education in Key Biscayne, Florida. Intensive training is provided in State-of-the-Art facilities, with nationally recognized faculty. The program offers a comprehensive learning experience for Dentists who desire a more proactive and patient orientated approach to advance dental techniques. The goal is service to patients with the highest quality care. The Institute's reputation is world renown and recognized by leading State and National Dental Associations.

A Certified Dental Oncologist by Training: Dr. Wayne Yee completed his Post Graduate 2nd Year Fellowship (PGY-2) at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to become a certified Dental Oncologist. A Dental Oncologist is a sub-specialty of Oral Pathology trained to treat cancer patients. Pre-treatment, present, and former Cancer patients have special Dental requirements due to their compromised immune system. Dental Oncologistsare trained to meet the needsof treatingALL cancer patients regardless of the type of cancer. Changes in their oral health can greatly effect a cancer patient's quality of life, and prognosis. Therefore acomprehensive oral exam by a Dental Oncologist is strongly recommended prior to receiving chemotherapy or radiation treatment.

is a Nonprofit website that I highly recommend. It is dedicated to educationon the dangers of oral cancer in a straight forward and unbiased manner. This website is supported exclusively from publicdonations. Please click on the logo to the left to go to their website.

Experienced in Reconstructive Treatment of Facial Trauma: Dr. Wayne Yee completed his 1st year of Post Graduate Residency at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center (A University Hospital Campus of New York Medical College). There he studied a comprehensive Residency in General Dentistry, and Hospital Dentistry.Working in the Emergency Room helped him todeveloped his skills in the primary closure of Facial Lacerations and Fixation of Broken Jaws.

His 52-76 hours/week Residency Program also provided practical experience in General and Concious Sedation, Operatory Room Surgery, Day Surgery Unit, Control of Infecious Diseases, Pain Management, Oncology, Emergency Room Medicine, Reconstructive Oral and Maxilliofacial Surgery.

Even before Dental School Dr. Wayne Yee showed an interest in Dental Research. He served Marquette's Psychology Department as a research assistant, while an undergraduate in Experimental Psychology . His project was Dental related in the study of the Auditory Responsein Hypophosphatemic Mice.

Hypophosphatemia is a rare inherited disorder characterized by impaired transport of phosphate and diminished Vitamin-D metabolism in the kidneys. Quite often this affects the way the bones in the ear transmit sounds.

The study's goal was to determine if different frequencies of sound could be used as a diagnostic tool in identifying patients with Hypophosphatemia. This in turn could help identify dental pathology caused by the disease. Unfortunately, Dr.Yee had to graduate andtransfer his project to another student research assistant before completion of the work.

Former Dental Research Assistant (1983-1986) under William O'Brien, PhD; Dr. Wayne Yee co-authored aResearch Paper published in the Journal of the American Dental Association on transillumination of blue light through hard and soft tissues of the oral cavity. Early researchcontributed to a practical use in dental diagnostics 10 years later.
