Originally a hockey-loving kid from Canada, Dr. Jay graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Knowing he had a passion for treating children, he specialized in pediatric dentistry at Boston University. For the past eight years, hes been practicing pediatric dentistry in the Hartford area, putting smiles on patients and parents alike.
Outside of work, Dr. Jay volunteers for Mission of Mercy, which provides free dental care, healthcare and prescription medication to uninsured people in Connecticut and other states. He also shows young children how to take care of their teeth through Head Start, a state-run early child development program. Dr. Jay is an instructor for the dental assistant program at Lincoln College of New England and a member of the Southington Dental Society. He also serves on the board of the Connecticut Society of Pediatric Dentists.
Born and raised in Plainville, Connecticut,Heidi wanted to be involved in healthcare since she was a child. She remembers enjoying her visits to the dentist as a kid, so pursuing a career in dentistry felt natural to her - particularly in a pediatric dental practice.
In 2011, Heidi graduated from Lincoln College with a degree in dental hygiene. Before and during her time there, sheworked at a local daycare which has provided her with great experience working with children. She really enjoyed watching the children in her daycare grow up in the area and similarly now likes to see how much her patients have grown in between visits.
Having grown up in Southington, Brittany remembers when our office was the Ponderosa Steakhouse! She graduated magna cum laude from Lincoln College of New England in 2012 and is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Association. Before joining our team, Brittany worked in general dentistry and continues to provide dental care to the elderly in nursing homes. Although this is her first pediatric dental office, Brittany is thrilled to be working with children. Having been a babysitter as a teenager, she knows all too well how difficult it can be to get kids to brush!
Brittany loves working in the dental field and has even traveled to Guatemala on a dental missionary trip. When shes not working, she is taking care of her young son, Cameron, and she enjoys reading, hiking, and keeping up with all of her favorite TV shows! She currently lives in Rocky Hill and has a yellow lab named Lucy as well as three cats.
Christina was born and raised in New Britain and currently resides in Bristol. She was in the fist graduating dental hygiene class at Lincoln Technical Institute in Southington. She has seven years of experience in dental hygiene, including five years in pediatrics. Her favorite part of her job is the kids she enjoys helping shape a childs perception of dentistry to be positive, uplifting, and fun. Christina is recently engaged and enjoys painting, hiking, snowboarding, and hanging out with friends and her two dogs, Jax and Peanut.
Katlynn grew up in Berlin, Connecticut. With an interest in working with children, she worked as an after school teacher and camp counselor after graduating from high school. She also found enjoyment working as a dental assistant in a practice that focused on treating children. Katlynn graduated from the dental hygiene program at Tunxis Community College and started at the Little Tooth Company soon after. Her favorite part about working in the office is the modern technology and being a proud member of our hard working team. Katlynn and her fianc, Brandon, live in Berlin and recently rescued a dog they named Jame-o.
Raquel brings years of experience as a dental assistant to The Little Tooth Company. She's passionate about instilling proper oral hygiene habits in our patients. Her secret: make taking care of your teeth fun.
It's no surprise that Raquel is great with children. After all, she has four of her own! Aside from being a busy mom, she takes care of two birds, a dog named Nalla, and a cat called Wishes. She enjoys reading and trips to the beach.
Whitney is the smiling person who greets you at The Little Tooth Company. Originally from Glastonbury, she keeps things running smoothly at the office, drawing on years of experience in the dentistry field. Prior to joining us, she also taught children from infants to 4 year olds at a daycare.
When shes not working, her two children, three fish, and big dog named Lilly keep her busy and smiling. Whitney loves the outdoors. You can catch her sledding in the winter, biking and hiking in the spring and fall, and relaxing at the beach in the summer. An avid traveler, shes visited lots of places, including El Salvador.

My youngest daughter usually clams right up with any dentist. I was desperate to find the best and came here. I was not disappointed at all!!! Extremely kid friendly and incredibly nice staff! My daughter saw both Dr. Jay and Dr. Sarah, both were absolutely amazing!! Jackie has never done so well at any other place. Also their office is very very clean, 10 out of 10 recommend!!

Awesome place , the hygienist Olivia was so good and gentle with my daughter and clearly knows how to work with kids. Dr Lisa is very sweet as well .

Decent place at first, I mean it's a dentist for kids. We've been with them for years and are happily going elsewhere. Seems if you cancel an appointment (yes we gave notice) they now require a down payment before any appointment. Due to work and us living 30+ minutes away and our entire family sick, having COVID-we had to cancel. They could careless.

I have been going here since my son was 1 and they have always been great with him. Now he's 4 and not scared at all and we finally got X-rays done and the dental hygienist and Doctor were patient with him which made it great.

Where do I even begin, Dr. Jay and his amazing staff have made my little girls visit one of the best by far, from the moment you walk in you're greeted by such a happy staff, they make coming to the dentist feel fun and not scary at all, Katlynn has been cleaning my little girls teeth since she was one year's old she truly makes my little girl feel so comfortable, she even does show and tell so she knows what to expect and reassure her that there is nothing to be scared of. Dr. jay's assistant Jessica has also made my little girls visit a breeze by doing show and tell when filling a cavity, she also explain to myself step by step of what they'd be doing so I can feel at ease as well. Thank you Little Tooth Company for providing outstanding dental cleaning &' work on my little girl. Ava can't wait for her next cleaning !

Can't say enough about this dental office! I took my son who is 3 years old here for one of his first dental visits. I tried a few places prior and they didn't turn out so well. The staff was so kind and friendly, they made us feel so welcomed. We saw Dr. Jay and he was the kindest dentist I have meet! My son loved him, he sat through X-rays and 2 filling!!!!! I was in shook! I left feeling so relieved, proud and happy that I have finally found a dentist and dental office my son loves. As a mom of a 3 year old that struggles with brushing his teeth, this was a big deal! We are so happy with this office can't wait to go back for our check up! Thank you Dr. Jay and Team!!!

We recently had our first appointment at The Little Tooth Company. They identified quite a few cavities during her visit, and i'll admit I was pretty overwhelmed since she is young. The doctor and hygienist did a great job at explaining the work they recommended for my daughter and did not make me feel pressured into committing to anything on the spot, I had a lot of questions and all of them were answered. They even gave me a sheet with "tips" for a first time filling appointment so both my daughter and myself know what to expect next time. I'm still a little nervous to have my child need multiple fillings, but I feel like we've landed in good hands here!

I bring my 2 year old son here and they are absolutely the best . The office Covid protocols are very reassuring. The office is very accommodating and Dr. Jay and the staff are wonderful . I can not say enough good things about this office.

This dentist office definitely has their bottom line in their interests rather than your child's dental health or any concerns you may have as a parent. When I declined x-rays for my small children, they mailed me a letter saying I had to find another dentist. My kids cried every time I brought them to their visits. The staff isn't that great with making the kids comfortable so we will be trying a different office that truly does know how to take care of children.

We brought our kids here for a while. There must have been a recent change of staff and the service now is absolutely horrible. No sense of urgency in their part. They canceled our appointment after kids were removed from school. They should re structure their employees because reality is there is really good competition out there. And for us who have been their patient for years to leave this practice that just means the service is no longer acceptable.

Today was our first visit with The Little Tooth Company and we could not be more impressed!. We recently moved to the area and I asked our previous pediatric dentist if she had anyone she recommended near our new home. She instantly said to bring my sons to Dr. Jay and that she knew him from dental school. I am a dental hygienist myself so I have high expectations when looking for dental providers for my family. The office was meticulously clean and all up to date with all the new technologies I like to see in dental practices. The front desk staff, hygienist and dental assistant were all so friendly and from the moment we checked in until we left the building I felt they wanted to give my son the best experience possible. He loved the fun waiting room toys and tv during his appointment and I also appreciated the age appropriate prizes and treatment he received. I am so happy we found Dr. Jay and his team to be our new dental home!

Office staff are cheerful and pleasant without being too fake, 'cutesy' or condescending towards the kids. Just genuinely kind-hearted, calm and trustworthy. The Dr is wise, kind, and very personable as well. They never seem rushed, they explain everything and they do not push for unnecessary treatments. Appointments are always on time, and in my experience they don't ever run behind schedule --which I really appreciate. My 4 children actually look forward to their cleanings every time!
