Dr. Alvarado was born in San Antonio, Texas. He completed his graduate study at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Beginning his practice in 2001, Dr. Alvarado and the Lakes Family Dental have continued his tradition of dental excellence by proudly serving the greater McAllen and Edinburg area since July of 2001. Dr. Alvarado holds the 2019, 2020 and 2021 BBB Mary G. Moad Ethics Award. He is also the only Platinum Invisalign Provider in the region , Certified with the Engle Institute for dental Implants, and holds a certificate for Academy in Sports Dentistry. He is also listed on America's Guide for Top Dentist, and is an open care choice winner for best dentist.

Dr. Alvarado is also very passionate about both youth and community organization; he currently serves as a sponsor for the RGV Snake Charmers for the Professional Vipers NBA-G league team . Dr. Alvarado has also donated custom athletic mouth guards for the football programs of the following valley high schools; McAllen Memorial, Nikki Rowe, PSJA North, Edinburg Bobcats, Robert Vela H.S, Economedes H.S, Sharyland, Palmview and Juarez-Lincoln. He resides in Edinburg Texas with his wife Erika and has two sons Ryan and Andrew.

Dr. Gregorio Salinas was born in Nuevo Laredo and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. He finished his dental training at The Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon in 2001. He moved to Puerto Rico where he trained at The University of Puerto Rico Graduate Prosthodontics Program in 2004. Dr. Salinas stayed for 10yrs as a faculty member to teach and train dental students in all aspects of Prosthodontics. In 2007 he received Outstanding Resident and class of 2010 Faculty of the year.

Dr. Salinas interests and hobbies include spending time at the beach and rock climbing. He moved to the Rio Grande Valley with his wife and daughter to share his experience and knowledge of the many services he can provide with the community.

Working as a Registered Dental Hygienist for the past 20 years has been a blessing for Aleida. She loves what she does and takes pride in knowing she helped her patients achieve a healthy dentition. Our patients know the quality of work Aleida provides and are excited to see her every time they come back. On her time off from work and her kids' hectic schedule she enjoys spending time with her family and going to church on Saturdays.

After 20 years of tending to patients' oral hygiene, Jennifer has learned and grown greatly; making people smile quickly became her specialty. Jennifer has a loyal following of patients who ask for her by name and love the way she cares for them, which truly shows her devotion to her practice. Jennifer devotes countless hours serving the community and is active in her children's extracurricular activities. When she's not working, you can find her out traveling, finding new adventures with her two kids, Sydney and RJ.

After 11 years in the dental field, Cathy has mastered office management and proudly leads the team to always reach their goals. She has two awesome kids and is the proud Glam-ma of one adorable little boy. On her spare time you 'll catch her at the beach or yelling 'GO PANTHERS' all football season long.

Erika has been with our practice since 2009. Her advanced knowledge of every aspect of our dental office enables her to provide broad guidance and training for our staff. She works hard to assure that things run seamlessly and our patients leave with a great experience. A fun fact about Erika, she was a cast member for Walt Disney World as a Character performer. She also worked with Edinburg CISD for 10 years as a Choreographer for the Fine Arts department.

One of our highly skilled treatment coordinators, Ercilia is always happy to help! Her can-do attitude and quick-learning abilities allow for her job to be done efficiently. When shes not at work, she enjoys shenanigans with her silly daughter and spending time with friends and family.

Using her education in Biology at UTRGV, (Go Vaqueros!) Anelly has shined bright since her addition to our practice. She loves to travel (she even studied abroad in Scotland and London!) and has a 5 year old puppy named Peaches.

Jasmine been at the lakes for over a year and has been a registered dental assistant for 7 years. She chose the dental field because she enjoys helping people smile with confidence. When Jasmine is not at the dental office she enjoys spending time with my husband and her two princesses Aranza and Isabella.

At just 18 years old, James was groomed into dentistry and has been making everybodys life easier at The Lakes Family Dental for 11 years. James is well on his way to dental school, and we couldnt be prouder! When hes not at work or in school, James enjoys fishing, playing guitar and quality time with his wife, Aly and their dog, Bobo.

Moad, who was the first to establish the Better Business Bureau in South Texas and is given to the BBB Accredited business that holds and displays the most ethical values toward their staff, clients (patients) and community.
