The Kids Dentist in Renton has been serving generations of South King County families since the 1970s. We strive to make going to the dentist enjoyable and something your child looks forward to. Our goal is to establish a relationship of trust and friendship that helps your child gain confidence in going to the dentist and the importance of lifelong oral health. Our hope is to be an integral part in helping your child to live life smiling!

Dr. Brian, a board certified pediatric dentist, grew up in a small town in rural Utah. He attended dental school at the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio Go Buckeyes! After realizing that pediatric dentistry was his favorite part of his dental education, he completed a 2-year pediatric dental residency at Nationwide Childrens Hospital and a masters degree at Ohio State focusing on oral health of premature infants and children with special needs.

He was raised hiking, camping, and four-wheeling all over the Rocky mountains. He enjoys the great outdoors and getting some fresh air in nature. He played basketball and football growing up and still coaches his kids in basketball, baseball, football, and soccer. Dr. Brian and his wife, Rachel, have recently relocated to the Pacific Northwest from California with their three children.

If you ask him why he went into pediatric dentistry, the answer is simple. He loves kids! His first rotation in dental school was in pediatrics, and he knew instantly that nothing else in dentistry would be as rewarding to him as working with children. He genuinely enjoys laughing and joking with kids all day. He believes that instilling confidence and self-worth in a child can start at the dental office with caring and compassionate pediatric dentists.

Dr. Jared Roberts completed a Bachelors degree at Brigham Young UniversityIdaho and then went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry (Dr. Brians favorite University of all time, GO BLUE!). He practiced as a general dentist in Auburn where he found a passion for working with the pediatric community and decided to complete a specialty training program at the University of Rochester, Eastman Institute for Oral Health, becoming a certified specialist in Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Jared is a Washington native growing up in the Auburn and Lake Tapps communities. After graduating from high school, he spent two years in Argentina serving the people there in many different ways and came back fluent in Spanish. Dr. Jared is an avid mountain biker and outdoor enthusiast. He is always ready to go explore nature, go on a white water rafting adventure, or play on the water with family and friends. He and his wife, Crystal, are thrilled to be coming back to the PNW with their 3 children in tow.

As a pediatric dentist, Dr. Misas goal is to provide an enjoyable experience for your child and entire family! I truly believe growing up with safe, fun dental experiences will benefit your little surfer for the rest of their life.

Dr. Misa received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Washington School of Dentistry. When she realized childrens dentistry was her passion, she completed her postgraduate training in pediatric dentistry and masters in oral sciences at the University of Illinois Chicago.

We have been coming here to TKD since my son turned 1 years old (12 now) and it has always served us so well! We have always enjoyed every assistant and dentist along the way. I ran into some insurance challenges, and my insurance tried to force us to a different practitioner and it was a very frustrating process trying to get the insurance to understand that I did not want to switch providers. I'm a school employee and the dental coverage is not quality coverage at all. Today was our first appointment after the expiration of my insurance and I was so grateful for everyone's patience as I went through the whole back and forth ordeal with Delta Care.

(Translated by Google) super good attention, they are very careful with the children and very efficient, above all they respect the decisions of the parents and give us options to help our children with the required treatment The most important thing is that they are very professional and careful with the children and give us options for the treatment required while respecting our decisions as parents. Yesterday was the kids first visit here. We were quickly greeted when we entered. Waited not too long, before we were called in.They gave us a tour of the place. Everyone is super nice and attentive. The kids were extremely excited for the prize at the end. They definitely put the kids at ease here. Would definitely recommend.

We absolutely love the professional care and customer service from The Kids' Dentist in Renton. They were great with helping my 4 year old deal with the anxiety of getting 2 teeth pulled. Their terminology and explanations about the process were easy for her to understand so it wasn't a scary experience. I highly recommend them.

I've been taking my kids to this place for long time but, this last time we went I was soo disappointed of their service. so My 3 years old daughter has been having a severe tooth pain so I called them to let them know so they gave me a appointment, my daughter didn't really let the doctor check her tooth but, he said she have cavity in 2 of her teeth and that she needed some kinda of medication for the cavity to stop growing and stop the pain which was the most important to me since as a parent you don't want to see your kids suffering. So I was agree with him and do the treatment which they told me the insurance would not pay for that, and it was $384 I had to paid out pocket and here we are my daughter has been crying since the day they did the treatment that treatment didn't work.. Im trying to called them and the emergency number they have doesn't work ... so what do I do know... I paid almost $400 for nothing... worst service ever I'm soooo mad

BEST DENTIST EVER!! I have been coming here for years with my kids. Dr. Jared and Dr. Brian are amazing. The staff and assistants are wonderful as well. I know a lot of kids dread going to the dentist, but I don't have that problem my kids are actually excited to go to the dentist!

Similar issue to the other 1 star review I see here. They recommended a treatment using anesthesia for our 3 year old. The insurance company denied it and called me to say that they thought this dentist was not on the up and up. Someone from this dentist then called me, same day, and told us not to come back. I never mentioned anything about the procedure or what had been said to me by the insurance company. But apparently whatever had been said between the representative of the insurance company and the dentist staff was enough to earn me a ban. I guess I lucked out. I honestly would have gone along with the treatment assuming that the dentist knew more about it than me, but the dentist we ended up at, after being sent packing, didnt needto anything nearly as invasive.

I love The Kids' Dentist for my kiddos. We've been coming here almost 10 years now. The assistants are always so kind and speak softly. Both my boys enjoy coming here. My son Niko likes "the video games, the prizes at the end, and the movies they let you watch" (while they work on your teeth). Today we even got randomly serenaded by carolers! We highly recommend The Kids' Dentist!

Looking at the reviews for this place, clearly something is amiss. We had been bringing our sons to the clinic for 2 years. They had always been very kind and gentle with our children, who are both terrified of "the dentist". Our time taking our boys there had truly helped. Our oldest has even come to enjoy going. So, our opinions had always been very positive of this place. Unfortunately the story does change from here... I'm not going to fault everyone on staff. They're wonderful. But, I need to bring something VERY important to attention of parents who bring their children here. Get a second opinion. I cannot stress this enough. Here's the story... our youngest had his 2nd... maybe 3rd visit there. One of the dentists (owner I'm assuming), took a look in his mouth to check on how his teeth are doing etc. Simple check. Not invasive. Only this time, in the grand span of roughly 30 to 60 seconds, this time he made the "professional" opinion that our child needed, not 1, not 2, not, 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not, 7, but 8 teeth worked on! How, in the space of 6 months do you go from no work needed to suddenly needing 8 crowns!!! And on a 5 year old child no less. The scariest part about all of this - our youngest is very frightened of the dentist, so they said "We have to put him to sleep" in order to do all the work. We're not opposed to this as we have had our oldest do a crown under anesthesia in the past. So... Ok... what is the procedure for doing this on very small children? who administers anesthesia? Are they used to working with small children? Where is this done? A million questions started swirling, but at the heart of it all, I simply kept thinking that something felt off about this. I'm sorry, and I'm no professional, but how does 5 year need 8 crowns? Especially in light of needing no work 6 months earlier, and this discovery having been made in a matter of seconds? The whole experience was very strange. To wrap... We followed our intuition and got a second opinion, roughly 2 weeks later. We brought the "dental work sheet" to the new office and they were absolutely shocked at the unnecessary and extensive work that had been listed. As it turns, out our son did NOT need all this work. He had two small fillings and that is all. Not the 8 crowns under full sedation. We will never return to The Kids Dentist Renton. I'm grateful we had the good sense to get a second opinion. If something doesn't feel right, there's usually a good reason for that. Putting children's health at risk for the sake of squeezing extra insurance money out of someone is totally unacceptable and unethical!
