Brandiegraduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2010 with a degree in Dental Hygiene and has been practicing in the greater Milwaukee area ever since. Brandie feels education is the key to obtaining good oral habits, no matter what age! She is patient and compassionate with her patients, treating them all as if they were her own family.
When she is not at The Kids Dentist, she enjoys attending Brewers games, Admirals games and watching the Packers play. In the summer time, she loves to get away from the city and go camping with friends and her dog, Gemma.
Kim graduated with her degree in dental hygiene in 1997 from Waukesha County technical College. She has worked with both adults and children, but finds her true passion is working with kiddos. The most rewarding part of her day is watching kids overcome their fears of the dentist and walk out with the biggest smiles on their faces.
Karina graduated from Milwaukee Area Technical College with a degree in dental hygiene in 2010. She enjoys helping kids and parents learn good oral health habits while also having fun! She is very passionate about being a positive part of the community and volunteering for community dental care when possible.
Murfie joined The Kids Dentist team in 2020. His mother is a Newfoundland and his dad is a Yellow Lab from Murfreeboro, TN. This gentle giant LOVES coming to The Kids Dentist. He has an extremely soft coat that children and parents love to pet. Murfies specialty is helping children who are a little anxious in the dental office feel more comfortable and he is really good at his job.
Hersch received his dental assisting training at Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2012. After participating in a dental mission trip in 2011, he changed careers and he has loved being in the dental field ever since. Hersch believes that children are our future and promotes teaching children good habits while they are young. His goal is to make every childs visit to The Kids Dentist a fun experience so you can always count on him for a good joke.
Originally from a small town in Southeast Missouri, Milwaukees Historic Third Ward is now home to Hersch. When he is not at The Kids Dentist, he can be found running along the lakefront, traveling or trying new restaurants.
Erin is a Dental Assistant graduate from Lakeshore Technical college in Cleveland, WI. Erin grew up in Oostburg, attended Oostburg High School an still resides in Oostburg, where she plans to call home for years to come. She is excited to be part of the team at The Kids Dentist, as she has always had a love for kids and is looking forward to helping many different children and make a difference in their smiles.
Erin comes from a family of 5, with a brother and a sister. Her sister and her husband have two kids, whom Erin loves and adores. You will see her with her niece and nephew almost every day. She also enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing volleyball, and being on a boat in the summertime.
Johan is a graduate of the Dental Assistant program from Everest College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and has been assisting for over six years. She is excited to join our team and has a passion for working with kids of all ages.
During her free time, Johan enjoys great food, cooking and experimenting with different recipes and spending time with her husband, Orlando and their two adorable daughters. She looks forward to meeting many new families and creating amazing memories.
Before joining The Kids Dentist, Nikita graduated from the Dental Assistant Program at Milwaukee Area Technical College in 2016. She has worked with entire families previously, but her greatest love is working with kids. Nikita is the youngest of her 4 siblings and enjoys spending quality time with her nieces and nephews. She hopes to have a family of her own one day and loves caring for children and making them smile. Nikita knows the importance of great oral health and loves educating children/parents on its importance, while making the childs experience at the dentist a great one!! Nikita plans to continue her education with the goal of becoming a Dental Hygienist in the future.
Sharell is a Dental Assistant graduate of Tri-Cities ROP in Whittier, California. She fell is love with pediatric dentistry immediately after graduating. She loves increasing kids comfort level and helping them have a spectacular dental experience.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, photograph and going on Target runs with her daughter. She loves working at The Kids Dentist and looks forward to helping children create positive dental experiences!
Kate comes to The Kids Dentist team with previous experience in General Dentistry and Oral Surgery. Having also worked in childrens education, Kate looks forward to passing along her passion for educating others on the importance of dental care. Providing patient care is her number one priority so every visit to the dental office is a positive experience to those of all ages.
Michelle came to The Kids Dentist after spending over 20 years in corporate retail in a variety of leadership and customer service roles. She was thrilled to transition to the dental industry where she can be involved with an amazing organization and contribute to the community in a positive way.
Michelle shares a passion for travel and exploring different cultures with her husband and they enjoy many adventures with their threeenergetic boys. In her spare time she loves reading, cooking and watching her boys discover the world.
Desiree is excited to be a part of the Kids Dentist team. She loves being in the dental field and helping families with their insurance questions, as well as seeing all the adorable smiles that come through our door. Smiles have always been important to Desiree, before switching careers a few years ago she was a full time photographer to many local families.
In her free time Desiree loves to travel the globe, experience new cuisine from far and wide, as well as hang out with her friends. She especially loves traveling to Hawaii, Europe, and down to Chicago where her Alma-mater, Columbia College of Chicago, is located.
Megan has a bachelors degree in Public Relations and absolutely loves to put her skills to the test on the Administrative Team at The Kids Dentist. She loves interacting with families every day and helping them receive the best care they can for their children.
Taylor grew up in Slinger, Wisconsin. Although she loved living out west in Washington State, she was to return to the Midwest. She recently graduated with an associate degree in Medical Office Management from Moraine Park Technical College. Taylor is extremely excited to be a part of The Kids Dentist team.
Cathies very excited to be a part of The Kids Dentist team! Shes always happy to see childrens faces light up as they walk through the door. After being a stay-at-home mom for several years, she began working exclusively as a dental receptionist.
Dr. Shane Fisher has been practicing pediatric dentistry for over 20 years. Originally from Chicago, he spent 8 years practicing pediatric dentistry in Milwaukee at Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin. Dr. Fisher earned his dental degree at Indiana University and completed his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin. He is board certified in pediatric dentistry by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Fisher has worked in both private practice and non-profit organizations bringing dental services to those who have little access to dental care. Most recently, he was a full time faculty member at Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin where he worked with some of the most medically complex and highly anxious patients in the area as well as taught future pediatric dentists. He remains on the Medical/Dental Staff and has privileges at Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin. Dr. Fisher is a former faculty member at Marquette University School of Dentistry where he taught pediatric dentistry to future dentists.
One of his areas of interest is working with anxious children and helping them become comfortable in a child friendly dental environment. The office is designed specifically for children and your child will feel a fun environment from the moment they walk in the door. Dr. Fisher believes that a large part of pediatric dentistry lies with prevention and helping children become excited about establishing good habits. Dr. Fisher wants to help educate families on oral hygiene, nutritional counseling, dental fluoridetreatments, dental development, oral habits, injury preventionand anticipatory guidance in all areas of pediatric dentistry.
He is very passionate about providing dental care to hundreds of individuals in Guatemala each year. He is the US Director of Dentistry For All,an international non-profit dental organization. He has been leading dozens of volunteers to Guatemala for over 15 years on dental mission trips.
Dr. Laura Goodell has been practicing pediatric dentistry for over eight years. Dr. Goodell grew up in the Madison area and graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a dual degree in Psychology & Neurobiology. She continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree. Dr. Goodell completed her post-graduate residency in pediatric dentistry at the Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center, receiving a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. She is board certified in pediatric dentistry by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Goodell is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, and Wisconsin Dental Association. She is committed to continued growth and education in the ever evolving field of pediatric dentistry. She loves to incorporate new research, concepts, and techniques into her practice to provide the best possible care to her patients.
In the summer of 2017, Dr. Goodells family relocated back to their home state of Wisconsin. She has two young children, Rowan and Cecilia, and is happy to be home where her children can grow up close to their grandparents, cousins, and long time friends. She has staff privileges at Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin, where she performs dental rehabilitation under general anesthesia when necessary.
Dr. Goodell believes that going to the dentist should be a fun, friendly and positive experience for children. She loves to care for children and teach her patients the building blocks for a lifetime of good dental health. Always the advocate for healthy teeth, Dr. Goodell has been featured on multiple Milwaukee newscasts discussing various topics in childrens dental health!
Dr. Paula Gomez was born in Bogota, Colombia and moved to Iowa City, Iowa when she was eight years old. She graduated with honors from the University of Iowa with a B.A in Studio Arts. Dr. Gomez continued her education at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS). Immediately upon graduation Dr. Gomez completed a two-year post-graduate residency specializing in pediatric dentistry at The University of Iowa College of Dentistry and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She received a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry and a Masters Degree in Oral Science. Dr. Gomezs research in oral cancer and autoimmune diseases has been published in several medical journals. During residency, Dr. Gomez served as a Chief resident and received advanced training in providing comprehensive and emergency dental care for children of all ages and special needs.
Dr. Gomez has provided volunteer dental services at the Iowa Mission of Mercy, the Free Medical Clinic in Iowa City, the Iowa Childrens museum, and several other outreach programs in her community. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Hispanic Dental Association. Dr. Gomez is a strong advocate for childrens oral health and is passionate about working with kids. She believes that preventive education is very important and is excited to make each dental visit a fun experience!
