It is Dr. Stoners goal to create ideal dental esthetics and function with optimum facial balance and harmony in a friendly and compassionate environment. He has developed numerous techniques for moving teeth and controlling the supporting bones and has headed numerous research projects. Dr. Stoner serves yearly on the teaching staff of the Tweed Course in Tucson, Arizona where they teach a 2-week intensive course to doctors from over 100 countries and most university programs in the USA for which there is a 3-year waiting list. For over ten years, Dr. Stoner served as a volunteering clinical professor in the Department of Orthodontics at Indiana University School of Dentistry.
He has lectured to many orthodontic programs in the USA, including annual sessions of the American Association of Orthodontists, Graduate University Orthodontic Programs and numerous countries around the world, including Israel, Italy, Romania, and others. He was the keynote speaker to the Iranian Association of Orthodontists in 2014 via teleconference. Dr. Stoner has been a mentor to the Serbian Association of Orthodontics and the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Belgrade since 2012. He continues to travel there on a yearly basis to teach a continuing education course to practicing orthodontists.
Dr. Stoner is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the Great Lakes Association of Orthodontists, a Fellow of the Charles H. Tweed Foundation for Orthodontic Education and Research, the Edward H. Angle Society of Orthodontists, the Michigan Tweed Study Club, the Indiana Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, and the Indianapolis District Dental Society, and Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity.

Three out of our four children have had orthodontia work done with Dr. Stoner. The fourth will be soon. While I will be glad when I no longer have to visit his office on a monthly basis, we've been very happy with the process and results. He is highly professional, and a leader in the industry. He provided us with many different viewpoints on his philosophy. We were well informed at every stage.

Dr Stoner has been wonderful working with our daughters the last six years. They absolutely love to see him on appointment day! Only 2 more months until the youngest gets her's removed.

Dentist office shouldn't be a place to experience rudeness. I was going to go in for a consultation for braces I didn't even get through my form before I found myself disgusted at customer service of your receptionist and politely looked at her said no thank you ball my paper up in front of her and walked out. She was unbothered by this...OF COURSE. Nevertheless I will stay honest and true to be a gentleman not cuss her out and call her out for being on the phone for 10 minutes Non-Stop and acting as though I'm bothersome to her and her phone calls. I've been to multiple dentist offices is still one of my least favorite places to go to however I found that receptionist generally moreover Expresses and is also the representation of the mindset and the empathy for that entire office. Rude receptionist you might likely get a unpleasant dentist I have nothing else to say on to the next one

I started with Dr. Stoner when I was a child back when his father was in practice. I finished up with Doctor Stoner, and following me was my two son's and daughter. My brother and sister were also patients, and we can say that he is the best in town, and you would be 100% satisfied with the final results. Note: Even after your treatment I do recommend that you maintain your 1 or 2 year retainer visits. He has help resolved adult issues that I've had 30 yrs+ later.

The entire staff is excellent with helping all their patients overcome the initial trepidation of the braces experience. I had a particularly difficult issue that Dr. Stoner and his staff handled very well and without the surgery I was told I need by other orthodontists. The pricing was more reasonable too. I now receive compliments from random strangers and my business opportunities have expanded almost overnight. Thanks, Stoner Orthodontics. You may have fixed my deformity, but you really gave me confidence and a whole new wonderful (& healthier) life.

I love my experience with the staff at Dr. Stoner office. Always smiling and I really like Irina, she always ask me how I'm doing. Toni is always smiling and very pleasant. Angie is very experienced and she gets you in and out the chair quickly. Michelle is always giving every possible option so you may continue to see Dr. Stoner. I especially appreciate the level of knowledge from Dr. Stoner. He is "old school" in my book, no overwhelming technology because he stays true to his work and doesn't need fancy equipment to prove that. His work speaks volumes and SMILES!!

I came in for a half hour appointment for my daughter yesterday, but I ended up staying there for more than an hour and a half. I was very frustrated. No complaints on any other services.

I wish I could show you photos of my 2 daughters' smiles before Dr. Stoner's work and then after. The difference is truly remarkable. This is not just about healthier teeth--both girls felt that when they smiled, they looked beautiful--and for teenagers, that genuine feeling doesn't come too easily. But this is what people considering an orthodontist should know: In order to keep operating expenses lower, most orthodontists use pre-made or one-size-fits-all arch wires, etc. Dr. Stoner isn't just an installer of orthodontia, he custom makes the arch wires, etc., based on the specific characteristics of each patient's teeth and mouth; and how and where Dr. Stoner wants the patient's teeth to move. Yes, there is a lot of science to it. But as I learned, it's also an art--at least it is for those few who are at the top tier of orthodontics--and clearly Dr. Stoner is. I honestly can't speak to Stoner's cost compared to other orthodontists in the city--his total cost may or may not be higher than others. But frankly, I didn't care--not when my daughters' oral health, their smiles and their beauty were going to be impacted. As a result, I focused my decision on value, and not on price. For both of my daughters, Dr. Stoner's services were a great value. BTW, his staff is great. Very accommodating. Like I said, I wish I could show the pictures.
