I grew up in Brooklyn, NY before moving to New Jersey for high school and college. I received a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in biology fromRutgers University. My interest in dentistry came from my early interest in the biological sciences and my desire to work with my hands. I enjoy learning new techniques and acquiring the latest technologies to best serve my patients.
I obtained my dental degree from theUniversity of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After dental school, I joined the U.S. Air Force. There, I reached the rank of captain and completed an advanced education in general dentistry residency at Bolling Air Force Base in Washington DC. During my three years of active duty, I received extensive training in oral surgery and forensic dentistry.
After my Air Force years, I started the Harmony Dental Group with Dr. Faber from scratch, with the belief that if you build a clean and modern facility and treat people the way you would want to be treated, then success would be inevitable.
I am a current resident of Southport, CT. In my spare time, I enjoy bike riding with my wife Diana and my two kids. My other hobbies and interests include playing racquetball, traveling, and watching my kids play sports.
I grew up in Queens and Long Island, NY and have always had an interest in dentistry since my own childhood dental visits. My motivation to work with children had stemmed from my mother, a board certified pediatrician who had encouraged me to combine my interests and pursue a career as a pediatric dentist. I attended the Tufts University of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA for my dental degree and then the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ (now known as Rutgers Dental School) to obtain post-graduate specialty training in pediatric dentistry. I am a board certified pediatric dentist by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and an active member of theAmerican Academy of Pediatric Dentistryand theAmerican Dental Association.
I reside in Rye Brook, NY with my wife Wendy and my two daughters, Alexa and Claire. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, and following my daughters musical interests such as her involvement with the Norwalk Youth Symphony and Greater Westchester Youth Orchestra.
My passion for dentistry started at Amherst College where I obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree and majored in premedical sciences and French. While at Amherst, I had the opportunity to participate in several medical internship programs. During one of my internships I worked with a dentist who taught me about the importance of oral health and how transforming a smile could transform a patients life. The experience inspired me to apply to Dental school and four years later I earned the Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) and then completed residency requirements at Jacobi Medical Center.
I have over six years professional experience working in New York and Connecticut, I am a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and Connecticut State Dental Association. I am Invisalign certified and I recently completed a course on Full Mouth Reconstruction at NYUCD. I continue to learn and stay current with the latest dental procedures and technology to provide the best care for my patients.
I was born and raised in Jamaica W.I. and Florida. After living in Larchmont, New York for several years, my husband and I moved to Norwalk two years ago where we enjoy spending time with our two-year-old son, Daniel. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, cooking, embroidery, new foods and learning about different cultures.
Dr. Park completed his doctor of dental surgery (DDS) program from the University of Western Ontario. Prior to that, he obtained his bachelor of science degree with focus on life sciences, from the University of British Columbia. Aftercompleting his dental degree, Dr. Park moved to Westchester County in New York to pursue a year of general practiceresidency, where he had the opportunity to further his dental training, especially in basic restorative as well as oralsurgery procedures.

As always, I was extremely pleased with the service performed for me which included my yearly cleaning / teeth and dental devices in my mouth. Iona was gentle and thorough while cleaning my teeth which is not an easy task as I have always been frightened by dentists/hygienists in the past. Dr. Malek is an outstanding dentist and I highly recommend him and the entire staff at Harmony Dental.

Dr. Malik, and all of his associates - from the front desk, to billing, to the hygienists - are amazing. Costs are always explained ahead of time. Care is always explained in detail. My 3 yo daughter, husband and I all love coming to Harmony Dental.

Today was my first visit at this office I can not explain how exceptional everyone was. From the receptionist to the hygienist and Dr. Markman. She was amazing! She didn't mind explaining her concerns and didn't hesitate to explain step by step on what she would be doing. I have never felt so comfortable at a dentist office and it's so rare to get the proper care and treatment I got today at other places. They are absolutely the best!

From booking the appointment to arriving to the procedure of getting a tooth implant, I truly knew I was in great hands there! The entire team is professional and so friendly! Harmony is a very welcoming dental office! It is the "only" dental office that I have never been apprehensive about going to! Diane is my go to hygienist as she is kind and extremely thorough. She is great at educating about preventative maintenance and how to best take care of your teeth. Dr. Park is great with the repair work he has done on my teeth. He is very thorough as well and very informative on what is going on and what needs to happen for the future. The best way I can explain the environment is that if the "Care Bears" had a dental office, it would be Harmony!

UPDATE 4/14/2022: I have now brought over my direct and extended family with me to the Harmony Dental Group. I never have an issue with them, I normally end up with a credit (strange things do happen in life ha!) and my last few visits are what led me to write this update. Vicky (the hygienist) was pretty good! She was on point with her cleaning and advises, she noticed things (old procedures done to my teeth over the years) that no other hygienists have noticed or cared to share with me. She was super friendly and very cool to work with. Also, there's Natalia, the most upbeat person in there! She's always friendly, happy and she remembers our past conversations (despite helping hundreds of people everyday I'm sure and my spaced out return visits). She sure makes one feel special each visit. I really like it there. The staff is friendly and very professional. I never have issues scheduling my appointments and they're very accommodating when I need to change them for a later time.

Looked a while and did plenty of research before I chose Dr. Malek and Harmony Dental Group for my extraction, bone graft & implant. Dr. Malek and his staff provided impeccable service-he's undoubtedly skilled at his craft and overall very efficient. Everything was very thorough, and they were flexible with my work schedule to help accommodate all of my needs. I'd definitely recommend!

After trying a number of different practices over the years, I can say Harmony goes above and beyond every step of the way. Their staff is kind as well as incredibly helpful from booking all the way through insurance. The after work and weekend hours are especially helpful and the staff is always responsive and patient when it comes to scheduling. My husband and I see Dr. Markman and are impressed and grateful for her attention to detail and level of care. My children see Dr. Limb and ask me every week when we're going back to the dentist. At every level, Harmony demonstrates a level of thoughtfulness and individual patient care that is standout. I'm so happy to have found them!
