Dr. Antolak has wanted to be a dentist since age 8 and followed his dream so in 1987 he graduated from the university of Michigan Dental School. It is his passion and continues to learn new phases of dentistry even after this many years. He is an active member and on the church council at Faith Lutheran Church. For fun, he plays hockey and also enjoys golf, fishing, hunting, and skiing.
Dr. Shane Thomas received his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Physics from Wayne State University in 2012. He then obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in 2016. Since graduating, he has spent four years as an Associate Dentist in Pontiac at a Federally Qualified Health Center and now works there on a part-time basis.
Dr. Thomas favorite aspect of dentistry is that hes able to create trustworthy, authentic relationships with his patients, providing them the best quality service with regards to their oral health. He values patient education when it comes to his treatment recommendations, and works to make sure that the patients goals are best achieved.
In his spare time, he enjoys staying active through recreational basketball and working out. He is actively involved with his church community and youth group and looks forward to continue serving there alongside with his wife Tanya.

Great doctors, skilled staff, attention to detail. Great service and care supported with value! Dr Robert even took time to pray with me before starting as he knew I had difficulties with gagging. I highly recommend them with or without insurance give them a call.

I have never felt so comfortable in a dentist office in my 50 years of life. The ladies and gentlemen that work here are very sweet and make you feel like you are important. I recommend if you have a fear of dentist this is the office to come to. The lady I caregiver for goes hear and they are absolutely awesome people hear

I cannot say enough good things about Dr.Antolak, Dr.Thomas, and the entire staff! Everyone is extremely caring, kind, and friendly. Both my teens and little kids love going as well! My eight year old needed some fillings and was very nervous...everyone was patient with her, worked to explain everything that was going to happen, and made sure she was pain free during the entire procedure. I am so appreciative for such a wonderful experience EVERY time we go! What a blessing this practice has been to our family!!

I brought my 97 year old Dad here. They took care of him as if he was a celebrity. Dr. Antolak and staff took immediate care of the issue, and left my Dad feeling very confident about changing to make The Gentle Dentist his new dentist. Thank you Dr. Antolak and staff!!!

Best dentist ever. I stopped going because I moved, but I went back because they are so good and GENTLE and they don't rip you off. I get anxious at the dentist's, and they do everything they can to make it easy. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

First time at this office because of a cracked tooth and altho I didn't like the pain I was in, I'm glad I found this place. I had called in the afternoon and they were able to get me in the next morning. The staff were very professional and the office was very clean. One thing that stood out to me is the friendliness between the staff and the patients and their family's. It was not just sigh in and take a seat. They seemed to a friend's bond with one and another which meant that there was a trust and care with each other to me. As far as my tooth it had to come out as I suspected but it did come out "Gently" and I had a great experience overall.

Such a great experience every time! Dr. Thomas & his staff really care about your happiness! They make sure that you're comfortable and well informed about procedures. I used to hate going to the dentist, but now I love it! If I could give a million stars I would!

I wish I could give more stars! They immediately calmed my fears from the very first phone call to schedule my appointment. It PERSONALLY helps me to know that they're also faith based (I had no idea prior to literally walking into their establishment and hearing worship music and reading scriptures on the lobby wall). That helped me even more because my faith is a part of EVERY decision I make. I only wish they were closer to home lol. But they're truly worth the drive <3 :). Dr. Thomas and Joanna are true blessings and I'm so happy I found this place. I'm not going anywhere else and I already referred my family to them. I honestly have nothing negative to say at all. This is the first time I'll ever say I can't wait to go back to the dentist lol. Thank you Dr. Thomas and Joanna!!!!

The Gentle Dentist staff have been wondeful w my son Eric. Eric has issues and has been terrified of dentist. Since with Dr. Antalak Eric enjoys going to the dentist and is comfortable with them. Margie is his hygienist and he is happy to see her and work w her. Many thanks to this great dental practice.
