I have practiced dentistry for 45 years and pediatric dentistry, exclusively, for 42 years. It feels good to say I love my profession today as much as I ever have, and wake each morning looking forward to the day and the children I will spend time with!

I love working with children infants through adolescents, and children with special needs and bringing them along the road to lifetimes of dental health. It is rewarding to know I have been able to positively influence so many of my patients to maintain their oral health as adults.

Being able to provide care that helps people live healthier and happier lives, and making treatment fun, makes my job fun! Nothing beats getting a shy child to relax and feel safe, and then seeing them start to open up and smile and then laugh with us!

After growing up in Waukesha, I attended Marquette University School of Dentistry, where I obtained my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). This was followed by my Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry, through Marquette University School of Dentistry and Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin.

Throughout my career, I have sought to stay at the forefront of the latest research, emerging trends, and developments in pediatric dentistry. By staying current on the newest options and knowledge, I can continue to deliver the best treatment for my patients.

I live on a farm in Colgate with my wife Debbie, two cats, and five horses. I enjoy working on my farm, riding my motorcycle, and sharing time with my three grown children: Andrew, Angela, and Aaron. By the way, Dr. Angie is my daughter, and it is a joy to practice alongside her!

I am extremely passionate about providing the highest level of pediatric dental care for my patients. Each child that comes to see us is unique. It is important to listen and spend time getting to know our patients and their families so that we can provide the care that best fits their needs, in a trusted environment.

Dr. Angela Trochlell, or Dr. Angie, as shes known to our patients, has practiced pediatric dentistry for over 13 years. She grew up watching her father, Dr. Edward Trochlell, provide amazing care as a pediatric dentist, while her mother worked alongside him as a chairside assistant for many years. The profession was a natural path for Dr. Angie to pursue.

Dr. Angie enjoys establishing an environment of trust and genuine personalized care for each child and their family. Her greatest fulfillment is seeing her patients grow into wonderful adults over the years and maintaining their dental home at The Fun Kids Dentist.

After growing up in Brookfield, Dr. Angie attended Marquette University as part of the Dental Scholars Program, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Biology. At Marquette University School of Dentistry, she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS).During her time in dental school, she solidified her decision to follow in her fathers footsteps and pursued 2 years of additional training to obtain her certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at Childrens Hospital of Wisconsin.Dr. Angie is also a board-certified pediatric dentist.

A life-long learner, Dr. Angie seeks out opportunities to stay current on the latest advancements in pediatric dentistry. Her ongoing studies in procedures, techniques, and materials ensure the safest and highest level of care for patients.

Dr. Angie resides in Hartland with her husband, Kurt, who is the marketing/social media director for The Fun Kids Dentist and POS Systems analyst for the Milwaukee Brewers. They share their lives with three rescue dogs, a cat, and five horses.

In addition to being a Super Aunt to niece Adalyn and nephew Kameron, Dr. Angie enjoys all aspects of caring for the familys horses. She can often be found at her familys farm baling hay in the summer, grooming, handling ongoing nutritional planning, and sometimes even riding!Dr. Angie enjoys the changing seasons of Wisconsin and spending as much time as possible outdoors with the dogs, horses, and her family.

Kurt, her husband, is a world traveler and when he can convince her to take time away from dentistry and their animals, they enjoy going on adventures and experiencing amazing cultures.Dr. Angie has been to over ten countries so far and appreciates how these experiences have given her a valuable perspective on life!

Every child is unique, and I work hard to provide individualized treatment for every patient I see. I find it incredibly rewarding to have a positive and lasting impact on my patients oral and systemic health, while also having silly and memorable interactions every day!

When I was two years old, my family was referred to a pediatric dentist in order to better treat my older sister, who has both physical and mental disabilities. I was fortunate to always have great dental experiences as a child and now do my best to provide warm, pleasant, and positive visits for children of all abilities and their families.

It is of the utmost importance that parents confidently trust our recommended routes of care. I work to ensure parents thoroughly understand their childs dental needs and do my best to spend whatever time is necessary to discuss concerns and answer questions.

I love being able to gain a patients trust at an early age. As a pediatric dentist, its wonderful to watch my patients and their families grow physically and emotionally over years of care in our office, and to send them into the world with healthy smiles!

I have been a dentist for eight years and have practiced pediatric dentistry for six. After growing up in Menomonee Falls, I attended Marquette University as a member of their Pre-Dental Scholars Program and received my Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2010. My Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) was also obtained at Marquette University through the School of Dentistry in 2013. I proceeded to complete my Pediatric Certificate and Master of Oral Science in 2015, at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Outside of the office, I also serve as an adjunct assistant professor at Marquette University School of Dentistry. This allows me to teach and mentor dental students, as well as stay current on the latest innovations, options, and emerging trends in order to provide the highest quality care to my patients.

I enjoy seeking out opportunities through these organizations to learn via live and online courses, as well as meetings, lectures, seminars, and publications. The knowledge and experience I gain through continuing education allow me to incorporate proven new approaches and options into patient care.

My husband Ben and I live in Milwaukee with Agnes, our yellow lab. Time with family, especially my niece Shelby and nephew Theo, is a priority when Im not at the office. I am an avid volleyball player, am constantly trying to improve my golf game, and also enjoy playing the piano. We travel as much as possible, walk the Milwaukee lakefront daily, and are regulars at many of the local restaurants in our area.

Dentists are in a unique position to give back and make a difference in their communities. I have offered my skills as a dentist volunteer at Give Kids a Smile Day and Mission of Mercy, which provide free dental care to individuals in need.

Im also a member of Milwaukees Women for MACC (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) and support their numerous activities. Additionally, I support the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation; in 2019 I participated in Milwaukees Finest Fundraising Campaign and received the Breath of Life award as their top fundtaiser.

Getting to know each patient as we take a journey together is the most amazing experience. From visit-to-visit I get to hear about their day and adventures, learn of their ever-changing interests and passions, and share in their lives and all that is important to them.

I wake looking forward to all the wonderful conversations Im going to have and the dynamic, energetic children and teens Ill spend time with. My day is brightened by these exchanges and I appreciate all that my patients bring to my world. Seeing kids grow up, and the changes that happen during those pivotal years, inspire me to continuing growing, too!

One of my favorite moments as an orthodontist is sitting with patients and comparing the pre- and post-treatment photos. To see how far we have come, and being there for each persons wow! moment, is deeply rewarding.

I grew up in Singer, Wisconsin, and attended Marquette University where I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. Remaining at Marquette, in the School of Dentistry, I then completed my Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS), and later my Master of Science (MS), and Certificate of Orthodontics.

Following dental school, I practiced as a general dentist for five years with the US Air Force. I served and treated patients in Ohio, South Korea, and Germany, and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency, too.

However, orthodontics like all areas of healthcare is constantly changing. Research leads to new methodologies, innovations in technology, and advancements in patient care and experience. It is my responsibility, and passion, to stay current on the best-researched techniques and new options, in order to provide patients with the highest-quality care and results.

If Im not helping little smiles grow bright and beautiful, Im usually found with my family. My husband Brent, whos a civil engineer, and I have three young daughters: Violet, Freya, and Zinnia. We love being outdoors, making the most of local parks, bike trails, and the beach. Sundays find us watching movies and eating popcorn.

We LOVE Fun Kids Dentist SO MUCH! I have a 7 year old who developed a lot of dental anxiety after having a cavity filled at another kids dentist in the area. After two additional attempts by the other dentist to fix the cavity, they recommended we have an anesthesia assisted procedure. In a last ditch effort to avoid spending $1000 on a cavity, I decided to check out Fun Kids Dentist for an "change of scenery" and I'm so grateful I did!! He LOVES them here and says it's so much better. He says they're more gentle and nice. Everyone from the receptionists to the dental hygienist to the dentists are all fabulous! 10/10 recommend!!
