Dr. Kordulak is a Hampton Roads native. He attended undergrad school at North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, NC, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree. He went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.
Dr. Kordulak spent the next 8 years in active duty, traveling to NC, Germany, and Virginia. After active duty, he spent 2 years in the Army Reserve with the 56th Field Hospital in Richmond, VA, and then several years as an Individual Ready Reservist. Before recently joining The Foleck Center, Dr. Kordulak had been in private dental practice since 1981.
Dr. Kordulaks professional affiliations include the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Association for Orthodontics, and Dental Sleep Solutions. In order to provide his patients with up-to-date treatment, Dr. Kordulak attends at least one orthodontic, general dental, and sleep dentistry course every year, allowing him to offer an alternative to CPAP users. He is particularly interested in facial growth and the effects of our environment on it, in addition to the correlation of sleep disorders with high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, and overall health and well-being.
Dr. Kordulak enjoys learning new innovative dental procedures, but away from dentistry he enjoys spending quality time with his wife of 43 years, Brenda, his two grown children, and active 7-year-old grandson. Additionally, he enjoys boating on Back Bay, reading, and hosting friends and family.
Oftentimes, well recommend that new patients first come in for an exam and cleaning. This allows our hygienist to remove buildup and stains from the teeth, and for our doctors to get to know you. We can create a treatment plan as needed, and begin by helping to schedule any additional work to be done. We can schedule families together, allowing everyone to be able to be seen on the same day. This limits confusion, while helping each member of your family to receive the care that they need to keep their teeth healthy and strong.
We will review your health and medical history prior to administering any type of sedative. Most patients can safely have sedation dentistry in our office, but you may not be eligible for this option if youre pregnant, have a medical condition, or if youre allergic to the ingredients in the sedative being used. Because we offer a range of sedative options, you can choose which one is right for you.

I would have appreciated knowing my dentist of 33 years retired. I will be researching to get another dentist. Foleck center is a business not doctors.

Dental hygienist, Erin was great! Very thorough and gentle. However, had to wait over 25 minutes for the Doctor to check me over. After that I was told I had to wait for the receptionist to check me out and make my next appointment. However, after waiting nearly 15 minutes, I was never called and ended up walking out of the practice without an appointment. This seems to be standard practice since the Foleck Center took over. The customer is, it seems, is nothing more than money making machine for the establishment and an inconvenience for the front staff. This would never have happened with the former owner! No wonder much of the former staff has moved on.

I would not recommend going to the Foleck Center on Kecoughtan in Hampton. The main reason for this is because I had one insurance and then changed to Athem only because of better dental insurance. I had to have several thousand dollars of dental procedures done. I was told that they accepted my insurance! During my last dental appointment I asked why my insurance had not paid anything yet. Tessa said that it was denied because she filed it under my last insurance. I asked her why and she said they didn't know I had changed insurance's. I was shocked to say the least! Then she proceeded to tell me they didn't have a copy of my new insurance card even though I gave them my new card as soon as I got it. Tessa then said no problem we take your new insurance (which I was already told)and I will refile your appointments. After several weeks and another bill which I have been paying 450.00 each month on I called her back to see why I was receiving another bill. She proceeded to tell me that she didn't have a copy of my new card, which I gave to her again during my last appointment! All I could think was this was unacceptable. Then after a heated discussion she hit me with..."we don't accept your insurance because it's a HMO and we only accept the PPO." WHAT!!! You mean I've been paying an extra $50 a month for more dental insurance and now I'm responsible for everything!!! I was in tears and she tried to make it my fault on top of everything. I am on disability and can't afford all of this. Yet I am responsible! No skin off her back. So be very careful if you go there and check behind her like you would your small child to make sure she doesn't screw you too! As for me, I'll be finding another dentist along with my husband who goes to the other Foleck Center in Hampton. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!!!
