I've been a Dentist in Boston for many years, and as a Doctor we tend to take care of others all our lives but at times neglect our own health. As a result, I started to have an issue with my molars as we all do with age. I met Dr. Dong through an Apicoectomy class a few years ago and there is no one I trust better than her to do my treatment. So I made a trip and flew to Houston to visit Dr. Dong at the Favour Dental and was able to do my root canal, apicoectomy and guided tissue regeneration and laser therapy within 2 appointments. I am so happy that I met her through our Apico class, As I saw her dedication and attention to detail in her work and studies, I knew anybody that goes to Dr. Dong for treatment is in excellent hands. Her office offers high quality services as well as many advances in dental technology. It was so nice to be able to have all my treatment done in one place and I didnt have to be referred out anywhere, This place is really a one stop shop if you need any major treatments. I had an abscess on my gums that would come and go from time to time, it was near a tooth that I had a root canal done a few years ago at another office. After Dr. Dong examined the area and showed me what the issue was on the Xrays, I knew I was in good hands with the details of my diagnosis and treatment plan. Dr. Dong gave me 2 options, either remove the tooth and clean up all the infection, or do a procedure called an Apicoectomy. I chose to do an Apicoectomy to save my tooth, Im so greatful for having Dr. Dong save my tooth so that I dont have to put and implant in or wear Dentures for a missing tooth. Dr. Dong the Tooth SAVING Queen!, I had a previous root canal at another office but afterwards I told them I was still feeling pain and they told me my tooth was still infected and I had to extract it and there was nothing else they could do. Needless to say I was upset and left that office for good, Im so glad I found Dr. Dong, she proposed an advanced proceedure called an apicoectomy to clean up all the infection on my tooth and laser therapy less risk to pain or swelling.
