Temporary solutions, like removable partial dentures and tooth-supported dental bridges, are no longer the only options. If youre missing one or more teeth, theres a modern, simple and long-lasting solution! Dental implants in Greensburg and Monroeville, PA provide the ideal tooth replacement, permanently restoring your health and confidence with real-life teeth that look and function like the real thing.
Once placed, dental implants will look and feel just like natural healthy teeth. If youre a candidate for implants, our surgeon will use computer-guided technology to place biocompatible, titanium implant posts into your jawbone to act as tooth roots. With a reliable foundation, full function can be restored within a matter of months, so you can eat chewy or crunchy foods with ease. A restoration in the form of a single crown or bridge completes your new, real-life smile and can be placed on the same day!
For many patients who have struggled with disease or decay of their natural teeth, dental implants offer a life changing solution through beautiful and strong artificial teeth that dont stain, decay, or fall out if properly cared for. When a full arch is placed by our surgeon, many of our patients find dental implants provide them with a strong, comfortable, and attractive smile something they never experienced with their natural teeth.
Dental implants are the ideal tooth replacement option for many reasons, including the health, function, and aesthetic benefits they offer. With even one replaced tooth, you can enjoy the benefits of a complete smile and improved confidence. For a full-arch replacement, the long-term benefits of dental implants are nothing short of life-changing.
Dental implants are made from porcelain or ceramic materials, both of which are custom designed to match the color and translucency of natural teeth. Dental implant restorationseither crowns, bridges, or full-arch prostheticslook so natural, it is virtually impossible to distinguish them alongside existing teeth.
Dental implants are just as strong and durable as natural teeth with the added benefit that the restorations cannot become decayed or stained. Permanently secured in your jaw with biocompatible titanium posts, dental implants have the strength to withstand normal biting and chewing forces, so you dont have to limit your diet in any way.
Dental implants restore a complete set of teeth in your mouth that will not slip, loosen, or fall out. With the strength of natural, healthy teeth, dental implants can improve your oral and overall health by allowing you to thoroughly chew a variety of healthy foods. Permanent, beautiful new teeth improve your emotional health and confidence, too!
Our oral surgeon, Dr. Edward Halusic, is board-certified and has been placing dental implants for decades. As one of his specialties, he has received extensive hands-on training in the placement of dental implants and in high precision CT-guided surgery. His level of skill and expertise in dental surgical procedures qualifies him to offer many advanced services, including zygomatic implants for patients with extensive bone loss and full arch dental implants for patients with many failing or missing teeth. With additional training and board certificatfion in anesthesia, he and our team provide the ideal place to receive your dental implant treatmentand offer high-quality care that permanently restores your health, function, and confidence.
Always searching for better care for his patients, Dr. Halusic has the distinction of being the first surgeon in the world to perform All-0n-4reconstructive surgery using a guided technique known as Chrome. This technique shaves hours off the surgical time and most patients can leave his office with their new smile in 4 hours.
The reason so many people see Dr. Halusic for dental implant and oral surgery is due to his in-depth training in all aspects of surgery of the face and mouth. Dr. Halusic has had extensive training in dentistry and medicine through his four-year surgical based residency program following dental school. Most patients do not understand the difference between an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and other less qualified practitioners who choose to perform dental implant surgery. As a patient, you deserve a surgeon that has comprehensive training involving all areas of the facial region and understands and has worked within the complex anatomy of the face and mouth. If you would like to review Dr. Halusics training, please scroll down to see his Curriculum Vitae.
Dr. Halusics emphasis on dental implants and oral surgery has been derived from an illustrious career including all components of oral and maxillofacial surgery including reconstructive jaw surgery, cosmetic facial surgery, TMJ surgery, trauma surgery, and oral surgery including wisdom teeth and other types of oral surgery. As his practice has developed over the years, his main focus is now dental implant surgery and oral surgery. One caveat that should be highlighted is his role as a clinical investigator in a study of a protein to grow bone in preparation for placement of dental implants. Dr. Halusics patients had a 100 percent success rate in the study and the study was published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Through Dr. Halusics efforts and those of the other nineteen investigators, the protein is now FDA approved for use in bone grafting for dental implants.
Dr. Halusic believes that one must continually strive to be the best in their chosen field, and this requires a commitment to continuing education. He subscribes to the old adage that a good doctor never stops being a good student. Dr. Halusic is founder of The Study Club, a professional organization that has brought world class continuing education seminars to the dentists of Western Pennsylvania.
Dr. Halusic performs most of his surgeries in an office setting where he takes pride in providing first class facilities for his patients. He demands compassionand excellence in himself and in his team, andtreats people as he would like to be treated.
Clinical Investigator: Dr. Halusic participated in an FDA Phase III clinical study involving sinus grafting for dental implants. This was published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, September 2009. I had a cyst on my my lower gums and they tried cutting it out without telling me the risk of cutting a nerve that would leave my lip permently numb. Halfway through the procedure that's exactly what happen, they cut a nerve and I almost jumped out of my chair when they did and 10 years later my lip is still numb! I didn't sue because they told me the feeling would come back and it never did.,I found out the statue of limitation is two years. If you have anything serious with you don't go here. QUACKS!

The Doctors and Staff were so attentive and caring while I went through having my implant surgery process. I had very little discomfort from the bone graft which was necessary because of my age (62) yikes, they gave me Ibuprofen and only needed 1 and that was only after the initial numbing wore off. The final result has made me so very happy, I got a bit emotional when I saw the final result. My smile, my self confidence, my ability to enjoy going out to eat and just enjoy eating all together is back. I had implants in my 2 front teeth 33 years ago when Doctor Halusic was starting out and have never had any negative issues with them. I can't thank them enough and it's worth every penny and then some to be able to smile, talk, eat again. I waitress for a living, so my smile and ability to talk with my customers without feeling self conscious means alot. A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE FACIAL SURGERY CENTER FOR ANY DENTAL ISSUE.

Dr. Edward Halusic is the kindest physician I have ever met. I came to him after 12 weeks of agonizing ear, head, jaw, and finally tooth pain. I saw 6 physicians, had 3 CT scans, and 1 ER visit without answers. Dr. Halusic listened to me and took his time to evaluate my case. My scans still showed no issues as I sat in his chair, but he continued fire off questions and look for the root cause. He found my root cause, which was exactly that! I needed a root canal on a tooth that appeared perfect on an X-ray. Dr. Halusic made calls himself to help me get into a endodontist before the typical 3 weeks turnaround for an appointment. He checked in with me after I left to let me know he found me a sooner apppintment. I am forever grateful for this man. He is the true definition of a doctor- kind and empathetic, with determination to provide the best possible care for his patients. Those qualities can't be taught in school. He was born to do what he does.

As always, excellent experience. Dr. Moore has a wonderful bedside manner and is very attentive to a holistic approach with care. I was introduced to the team by way of an emergent illness that required immediate treatment in the hospital setting. My follow up appointments have been scheduled quickly and to my complete satisfaction.
