As convenient as the notion of a Same Day Crown can be, once you realize the disadvantages it is difficult to justify their usefulness. at least today. Most dental offices providing Same Day Crowns are high production, general dentistry offices. The benefit for the dentist is they can drive down the cost of manufacturing your new tooth. The disadvantages for you are that a General Dentist with no to little experience fabricating a crown or bridge is teaching a dental assistant how to make your new tooth with cheaper, less accurate milling machines with fewer options. Using our Ez3D-i digital treatment planning software, Dr. Branberg can diagnose and plan the precise placement of the dental implants on the computer with ease. Digital mock-ups of the new replacement teeth can be scanned and superimposed in the software to make sure that the dental implants are placed exactly where they should be for an excellent result. This also makes the procedure safer and more predictable for our patients.

Ever since he was a little kid, Dr. Branberg wanted to be known as Dr. Steve for his career. While he goes by Dr. B now instead, he still fulfilled that goal! He was always good at math, science, and art while growing up, and dentistry allowed him to excel in these subjects that came so naturally to him. Plus, he just likes helping people in need!

Dr. Branberg was born and raised in Southern California. He chose to pursue his Bachelors in Biological Sciences at the University of California at Irvine and eventually received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. He also achieved his Certificate in Prosthodontics at the same school in 2011 and even served as an assistant professor in the predoctoral clinic after its completion, supervising 3rd and 4th year dental students.

Today, what sets Dr. Branberg apart from other dentists and prosthodontists is that he completes every stage of the dental implant treatment himself, including both the surgical placement and the restoration. Hes also given numerous presentations to general dentists on various aspects of prosthodontics, including lectures titled A Systematic Approach to Complete Dentures, Removable Partial Dentures for the General Practitioner, and Implant and Tooth-borne Full-Mouth Reconstructions. He believes that sharing his knowledge and experience with other dental colleagues only helps to improve every patients results!

Away from dentistry, Dr. Branberg spends lots of time with his fianc and her son. His personal hobbies include playing sports like basketball, volleyball, golf, getting involved in games like pool, Texas Holdem, darts, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, LA Rams, Lakers, Mavericks, and USC Trojans. Hes also very interested in health and fitness. Hes a passionate cook and griller, and his favorite dishes include mac n cheese, baby back ribs, rack of lamb, and a good steak.

Dr. Cancemi has been in private practice since 1998, and practiced in the office-based setting for over 10 years, having conducted over 2000 in-office cases; in addition, Dr. Cancemi still practices in Ambulatory Surgery Centers. He completed his Anesthesiology & Pain Management Residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School-Parkland Health & Hospital System, followed by a one year Fellowship in Cardiac and Transplant Anesthesiology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

The most important aspect for me an anesthesiologist in the office-based setting is patient safety. I will discuss with each patient his/her health history, medications, and lifestyle habits, answer all questions and address all concerns, and then determine if that person is an acceptable candidate for surgery in the office environment. Not all patients will be acceptable candidates for surgery in the office environment. It is my duty, as a physician and anesthesiologist, to use my medical knowledge and judgement to make this critical determination. During surgery, in addition to using the standard monitors used in the surgery centers and hospitals to monitor very closely the patient, I also monitor the patients brain wave activity to determine his/her depth of anesthesia, which allows me to use the proper amount and combinations of medications to keep the patient comfortably asleep, but also allows me to wake the patient more efficiently when the surgery is finished. This results in the patient feeling less sleepy and groggy after the surgery and allows the patient to return more quickly to his/her normal state.
